  1. Anyone know where I could find a spoiler-free review of the houses? Just looking to get some general thoughts without getting too much information Anyone know where I could find a spoiler-free review of the houses? Just looking to get some general thoughts without getting too much information
  2. During the 2 months of HHN, Is the disaster rode closed throughout the normal hours of Universal?
  3. So if the wait and scream is in New York and F vs J is there too, will we be able to start with F v J or do they funnel you elsewhere?
  4. nothing special running there though I assume.
  5. Agreed. I think they look fantastic. I would think it depends on what scares you. My wife is petrified of random acts of violence, but zombies? Well since they don't exist, not scary at all, but they sure are cool to look at. That's how I see this entire event. The more dynamic and different the zones and houses are, the better. Some real, some childish, some dark, some cartoony, that would be the perfect mixture for me. Therefore, I'm loving what I'm seeing. Will jumpy-outy things make me jump? Sure. Will I have nightmares because I saw a costumed Freddy? I sure hope so, but it's very unlikely.
  6. I guess when the event is treated like a daily excursion it can be compared to other events in terms of cost. But speaking as a Canadian, who has nothing t compare the event to, Universal in general is expensive. A four day trip to Universal (and MNSSHP tickets) costs roughly $4000 for two people. So next time you shell out $100 and think, wow this is expensive, think of the people who have nothing even close in their backyard and need to shell out $1000 just to fly to Orlando. You Orlandians have an embarrassment of riches and its causing you to be overly critical methinks.
  7. I love these silly, childish decorations. Heck my wife and I are going to Universal for the week then going to Mickey's Not So Scary Halloween Party for a childish romp through Halloween on Halloween night. I'll proudly admit that, despite being a horror fanatic, movies like HalloweenTown, Hocus Pocus, etc are some of my holiday favorites. Even though horror has always and will always be the most dominating feature of Halloween, the camp and the childish will always hold a special place in my Halloween. This holiday is not only about being able to make-believe the scary, it's also about soaking in the colors, the smells, and the feel of that perfect childhood time, pure nostalgia.
  8. Well that sounds bloody brilliant, like a new age slashers vs Monster Squad villains. If this is true my life would be complete.
  9. Anyone have any details or guesses as to what the All Night Die In scarezone might feature? The rumors are half black and white and color monsters. Would these be iconic monsters from film? I believe the old Die In house had the classic slashers, should I expect this scarezone to be similar?
  10. while I am excited, I am sure that many, like me, are fans of HHN recreating iconic scenes and settings. Lets just say that purge has little to none of this as it was a mediocre film to put it mildly. That being said, it could be a great house, just a pretty second rate IP.
  11. Well thank you. I have another question, this one may be difficult to answer. We are going October 29th, its a Thursday. All of the crowd calendars out there vary on whether this is a peak night or a slow night. Anyone have experience at HHN on a late Thursday night? Last year October 30th was a Thursday - If you went, was it busy?
  12. In an age of information, this is one of those times where, for me at least, it seems to be a negative. I have to take everyone's word for it that this HHN team will be able to step up and solve whatever problems they're facing. I've been nearly shaking with anticipation since we bought tickets to Universal and HHN, but I sincerely hope that what was once 9 houses doesn't end up being 8 houses and a makeshift, thrown-together, "this'll do" house. I also hope their is no trickle down effect for the other houses. Now to pass the time, maybe I can ask another another question of you veterans (please let me know if this isn't the space). 1) To do Stay and Scream at Finnegan's -- Do I need reservations? 2) Do they separate the people into groups to go into the mazes? (Many other houses I've been to herd a constant line through so a few people ahead of you get scared and it ruins it). 3) Can you walk slowly through the mazes to really soak in the art and design? Or is everyone rushing through? Thanks in advance
  13. Please oh sweet lord no. This would break my heart. Do they not also have Cabin in the Woods, Halloween, Evil Dead etc.
  14. Refuse to believe this. If it's the movie version it will still promote and create excitement for the show.
  15. So Cool. I have not seen these but will be watching them tonight when the wife gets home. Thank you!
