Sorry for the delay. The past few weeks have been... without going in to detail, hell on multiple levels. But I'm back, and will have several videos over the next few days. Mainly the recordings- and the live action videos will be posted throughout the event. Enjoy!

You know what those remind me of? The "Death/Game Over" cuts from the Batman: Arkham Game franchise.

Not to derail from the actual topic too far, but I was literally thinking about this yesterday in regards to next year already- specifically if the rumors of them doing AHS season 2,3,and 6 are true. I just finished rewatching season 3 and most of the "voodoo" in that season is very akin to the Voodoo Queen from a few years ago. It makes me wonder if they'd cut it out/tone it down in that section of the house... which would suck, because it's a huge part of season 3 (and also, imo, where some of the creepiest parts happen.)

Hm, I feel like it'll sell well because most people have weekends off to do events like HHN, regardless of it being crowded or not.

Technically HHN is copying the idea from... well lots of other groups/companies. Six Flags Great America has a VR coaster right now. At SDCC AHS had a VR experiance. VR is a hot thing right now, and it makes sense that haunts/events will start to latch on to it. They aren't so much copying as following the trend. The question, for me anyway, is which ones are going to be worth the money- I.E who will do it best?

SPOILERS Agreed. He AND Twisty. I just finished rewatching FS for the first time since it aired and forgot that Twisty dies after, like, the fourth episode. And Mordrake is creepy as hell but also underutilized. While the season has some good moments I now remember why I was so... let down by it. I'm really hoping for all the obvious scenes- I.E Big Top entrance/facade, inside the tent, Twisty's Bus and/or woods, and a tent scene with Mordrake, BUT I also really hope that we have at least ONE moment with Chester and Marjorie which were, IMO, one of the few highlights of the season.

I was actually just thinking about this. I swear I remembered Mike, or one of the creatives, giving an interview a year or two ago where they were asked about AHS ever coming to HHN and they weren't sure. For the life of me I can't find the interview, and it's been driving bat shit crazy all day. But I thought they said something akin to the fact that weren't sure because that if it ever did come to HHN they wouldn't want to cut the content (I.E the violence, sexual nature, or anything.) They loved the property and want to respect it, but they weren't sure guests were ready for that yet/or mention of AHS extreme house. God... I swear this interview was real. I remember having conversations about it with people. Anybody else remember this, or am I just going mad?

I'd imagine most likely they'll just be using a polyester bled, with the proper sheen to it instead of a latex stuit because... that would be quite literally murder. Lol. Something akin to what the general Halloween shop AHS Rubber Man costume is comprised of, except probably a little more durable.

Which, if rumor is to be believe, we may get 2, 3, and 6 next year...

Little disappointed that Asylum isn't in them mix, as that and Murder House are my two favorite seasons (and I also personally believe after Asylum the show kind of started going down hill) but I guess if the rumors of wanting to do seasons 2,3 and 6 next year are true... it makes sense. Still, excited. Despite if seasons 4 and 5 were good, there is no doubt that there are scenes/locations and characters that lend themselves well to a haunt. And season one is amazing.

I saw that too. As much as I'd love a comeback of the Midnight reveals, I just assume it'll be tomorrow if anything. I'd happily eat my words if I'm wrong though.

These VR experiences are really taking off, and I'm kinda happy about that. The AHS one at comic-con got rave reviews. $50 for just a VR experience is a bit steep though. But I'll be interested to see what people think of it...

I don't think critical ever had any 'useless negativity.' I may not always agree with what his opinions are, but he tends to have some constructive criticism about the event. You can like HHN, and still not be happy with some of the choices they make. He simply points them out and gives his opinions about it, just like people who favor the decisions. That's kind of the point of the forum, right? To have a dialogue about HHN? Like I've said before, I loved HHN25 but I also realize that HHN25 was a rather divisive event among the fans. I read the article posted, and that starts to lean into some really harsh territory/criticisms/opinions (as the title of this thread suggests) and some of them I think are a little unfounded. Like *as others have pointed out) her saying that if you liked the event you're either bought or don't know any better. I feel like with HHN and a lot of haunts, like NICK said- it is what you make of it. I will say though, this isn't the first time I've heard complaints about security... I must be just really lucky or something, because I've never had any issue with security. At the front or in the park at the event. In fact, security in the front have always been extremely nice and welcoming to me, often commenting about my shirts, belt-buckles, and apologizing profusely if they have to double scan for something <.<

At least in recent-ish memory, I was thinking the same thing.
