  1. I know it's a long shot, and even though I do love Repo I'd think Devil's Carnival would be awesome to see live- and would fit right in, and it's fairly easy to do. It's on the shorter side, as shows go and short vignettes like that are always fun to stage. And it has a sequel coming out, so that could've been some publicity.
  2. "Oh little children, you musn’t leave; your families for you will grieve. Their minds will unravel at the seams, allowing me to haunt their dreams."

    1. JDW

      JDW

But surely, all of you must know

That it is time for you to go

Oh, little children, you weren't clever

Now you shall stay with me forever

  3. CVC... I can't help but think the "V" stands for versus for some reason.
  4. It'd better not. What is a [good] Halloween event without a chainsaw or two?
  5. As of right now I am planning on September 26th (22nd b-day ), 27th, 28th, and the 29th. Getting the Rush of Fear pass. I'll be going for research for my senior project of college actually so if I end up meeting up with people I may ask for an interview/statement on the event!
  6. I guess both assumptions are true? I'm not sure honestly what I was trying to say. I guess I'm just interested to see how it will connect. I mean if it is another house that has a cabin it will either feel really redundant (you can have a woods/forest theme house without a cabin- I.E Wolfman) or it could connect in a really cool way. I mean, maybe the "cabin" is the main thing here, not the woods. I mean in Evil Dead and TCitW it all begins IN the cabins. The groups have to find something in the cabin before the evil is unleashed on the surrounding area/woods.
  7. If the RE house is really going to be a think... I'm curious as to how it ties in, if at all. I mean I know some of the game titles have taken place at certain sections with shacks and abandoned locals... but when I think RE it doesn't scream "woods/forest" to me, ya know? All I know of is RE 4, the game, with the cabin in the woods. And if THAT was in the game then that'd mean three houses with a cabin... in the woods. I mean if I'm wrong please correct me because I guess I'm not very RE savvy; Silent Hill was always my series. I'm sure it will connect in some way/shape/form but I just wanted to speculate. Also has anybody talked about how in the first video PS says that they they don't have permission to be there and that they are "technically trespassing." That implies that somebody/bodies have to own the area, correct?
  8. I would think they could easily do a kind of overarching feel kind of providing a "canopy" if you will over the event (figurative not literal) without making it so that there can't be individual scarezones. I mean if you think of woods in horror films there are always "clearings" in woods that produce cemetaries, or cult alters, cemeteries, monster dens, worn down buildings or backwoods homes, haunted fields, hidden labs or bunkers... the list goes on. I can easily see the woods (if this is what is going to happen) "covering" the entire event with "clearings" being scarezones, which will fit the theme.
  9. I'm so glad I'm not the only one who thinks so. I know so many people who love it and I just am not a huge fan. I wouldn't be excited to see it as a HHN house
  10. Heh, looking forward to the next vid!
  11. I could see a sort of "legends forest" kind of scarezone happening, and Slenderman could possibly fit into that. Kind of like Fracture Tales.
  12. I'm excited for the Pain Gods/Cenobites. They were by far some of the best looking creatures in the film and yet we didn't get to see them in real action. Shame. Here's hoping they have a good scene in the house. I'm also betting on a wink at Bloody Mary in a "basement" like room. Either a two way mirror scare, or something like that.
  13. I'd put money on Evil Dead, what with the DVD/Bluray campaign starting up here. Kind of like what they did with Dead Silence a few years back.
  14. Using your SI as an excuse to go to HHN- best idea ever.

  15. I feel like CitW would end up being kind of like the Silver Screams house, not that I'd complain. That is one of my favorite houses. But the motif of basically going through and seeing each of these famous horror creatures/monsters/men/etc from different movies (albeit in knock off form) would be similar. I'd hope to God they'd have the cenobite look-a-likes in the house. They were the best creatures in the whole movie. In short, I'd look forward to it. Like many others, I'd hope if they are doing Walking Dead that the prison would be incorporated. In fact, just have it be the whole maze. The Walking Dead: Break Out, or something along those lines.
  16. This photo is outstanding! Great position and lighting.
  17. "You can't hide what's in your heart..."

  18. I agree with most here. I'm not majorly upset by any means with the website, but come pared to what we've had for almost a decade... it's pretty meh. The main page is really is more laid out like a teaser site. The house/show/street pages are better but I'd think with some pretty major titles this year they'd make it fairly more intricate or more interesting at least. The lack of sound and interaction just makes it a quick five (or less) minute run through where as I'm used to spending at least half an hour or longer on the site. Yeah the site doesn't make or break the event in any way, but it always seemed to add more dimension. And those of us who can't attend every year (damn costs and college...) the site and all of the viral marketing was kind of all we have.
  19. This post just made my day. I 100% agree. I feel like each year there is always something that people feel warrants this reaction, and in the end the event ends up being a success and amazing anyway.
  20. I compleatly agree. If they did that (the running out of the house into a "herd" or other zombie scarezone) it'd pretty much be like the shows constant cliffhanger endings I feel, which would be awesome. That feeling of "oh cool, we/they just made it through all of that pain and torment and.... FML."
  21. "The shadows betray you... because they belong to ME."

  22. My story is pretty simple.I found out about the event when I went to Universal for my birthday back in 2003. I've always loved horror films, and haunted attractions but for some reason had never even heard of Halloween Horror Nights before then. It was in September when we went and there were posters everywhere for the Director. I really wanted to go but we missed it opening by a week. When I got home I looked it up online, and have been following it ever since.
  23. I swear you shoot some of the best pictures this year. These images are amazing.
