  1. Real shame they built the amazing voodoo shack only to leave it empty. I agree the voodoo queen should be up there barking all night. She was the best actor of the event. Loved how she wandered through the crowd improvising.
  2. Some of the kids were obnoxious...and the parents bringing young children even more so. Simple solution if you want to avoid the Tweenie boppers: don't go Friday or Saturday.
  3. Universal has the money, but they would never approve a budget that large. Plus, I think USF is better suited aesthetically for TWD than IOA.
  4. All it would take to fill TWD void would be Harry Potter. Turn London into a scarezone with Death Eaters all over the place and the masses will flock. Simpsons Tree House of Horror would be a decent draw. Granted, these two aren't typical horror franchises, just popular IPs with elements of horror tied in. The Shining would be my most wanted IP now that AWIL, Halloween and Alien are out of the way. Honestly, and it's sad this will never happen, I want the 25th anniversary to be a "best of" year. Bring back 8 or 9 of the best original houses HHN has ever done, 4 or 5 of the best scare zones and have the event hosted by the icons.
  5. I also saw a baby in the last crib last Friday. Saturday I saw nothing.
  6. Yes, she went through the crowd searching for sacrifices.
  7. Wow. The sacrifice was one of the highlights of the event! I did notice a decent crowd around us Saturday night, but nothing causing major issues. Operations are being overly cautious.
  8. When did the tunnel close? It was open for me last Friday and Saturday.
  9. Halloween: 2 AvP: 2 Dollhouse: 2 Roanoke: 2 TWD: 2 FDTD: 2 Giggles: 1 Dracula: 1
  10. Yes the opening ceremony is Purge themed. You'll want a view of the balcony that overlooks the on-site entrance turnstiles.
  11. Couldn't agree more. Personally, I prefer Roanoke over FDTD, Giggles, and Dracula as well. Something about the sets, senses, and story ranks it above all of those.

    Halloween

The girl appeared to be with her boyfriend who nervously smiled during the incident. Seemed like he wasn't sure whether to laugh about it or apologize profusely. When I laughed about it at first, my girlfriend pointed out how she def did not look OK and maybe it was severe. Indeed it was because we saw her afterwards outside the house trying to pull herself together.

On Friday he was not there when I went through because of the rain.
  14. The folks claiming lack of intensity had bad run throughs. Both times I went through, it was very intense. There were multiple times I realized I was trying to walk faster to get out of there.
  15. One thing I wanted to bring up about this year: what's up with the scare actors wearing visible ear plugs? I get it's loud in there, but Universal could provide them with ones that don't stick out. I happen to use Doc's for playing music/going to concerts. These are clear and do not stand out; unless I forget to wash them the weekend after Bonnaroo.
  16. I do agree Orlando's facehuggers are too static. It's fair to say I can't base my opinion of Hollywood's AvP based on the video, however, that's all I'm going to get!
  17. Scarezones: 1) Bayou of Blood 2) The Purge 3) MASKerade 4) Face Off Houses: 1) Halloween 2) AvP 3) Dollhouse 4) Roanoke 5) FDTD 6) Giggles 7) TWD 8) Dracula
  18. I didn't see any scare actors in there and def agree with the half assed facehugger. The detailed eggs are very cool though. I think it's suppose to be a transition room.
  19. I'm glad I took your advice! Didn't wait longer than 20 minutes as well. Waiting 75 min for TWD or Halloween would have been miserable!
  20. Hollywood's AvP does not look impressive. They have scareactors slapping face huggers to windows. In the video, you can clearly see the actor doing this! The alien puppets are poorly designed as well. It's like half of the puppet is the scareactor's body and the claws are controlled by their hands.
  21. This house made me cringe a lot. At the end I had to shake it out before moving on. It is disturbing, twisted, and smelly. Good job, good job!
  22. I disagree with the lack of intensity. Both of my visits were very intense and made me want to get the hell out of there.

I slowed down to a crawl both times to make sure I saw it. It's pretty cool. I completely missed the finale the first time through. That's because my girlfriend and I ended up running out of the house since the scareactors kept getting us back to back to back! My second walk through, I slowed down and barely caught it due to the attendant trying to hurry me along. Really wish they'd ease up on the conga lines.
  24. After the first two nights, the waits were about the same. Max times I saw are listed in parentheses. Dracula is the least busy simply due to its location. Should have a much longer wait for a sound stage house. 1. TWD (75-90 min) 2. AvP (45-75 min) 3. Halloween (45-75 min) 4. G&G (45-60 min) 5. FDTD (45 min) 6. Roanoke (30 min) 7. Dollhouse (30 min) 8. Dracula (30 min) They had a specialized wait display for HHN. Looked like a giant flat screen TV turned vertical. There were several spread through out the park.
