  1. Just speaking of the Extreme House idea in general, I always thought the minimum age for it was going to be 18, not 21.
  2. My friend just made 2 Minecraft skins based around Traditional characters from HHN 22. Posted them in the Traditionals topic for HHN 22. Note, I do not play Minecraft.

  3. I actually have a fox and tiger mask (similar to the HHN ones)...if I go to Carey this summer, photo shoot in the abandoned Tootle Schoolhouse! xD
  4. My friend just made 2 Minecraft skins based around 2 different Traditional characters. This has to be one of the most hilariously awesome things I have ever seen (note, I don't even play the game). 1.) Bill the Fox Boy 2.) The Tiger Astronaut (Tigernaut)
  5. Well with people on all sides of the spectrum, it has turned into quite a controversial topic I must say.
  6. Just a random thought... I was thinking about me actually taking a picture infront of that rock. Doing so, what if a local walked by? And what if they asked me why I was taking a picture infront of a welcome rock in their small, small town? I would tell the truth (the connection to HHN and explain what all that is). I wonder how they would take that; if they'd be surprised, offended, or maybe even excited. It's a funny thought. Maybe we could turn the whole town into HHN cheerleaders. Though, it IS a small town - and small towns tend to stay fairly close, and also be that one of the members of A&D is from Carey (that is what I have heard from several people, but no official conformation to me). But if that is true, maybe somebody in Carey does know, like a relative or something. Huh...interesting thoughts. And if not, then what a coincidence, Ohio has more abandoned, old, dilapidated, and victorian homes per capita than any other place I have seen. Oh and a side note for those that don't know, Carey, Ohio is in Wyandot County. So Wyandot is also a real "thing."
  7. Yeah, and with all the driving we do up there - it is very possible I have driven through it ('cause they're so close). But, if I go this summer I will make my family go or hell, I will drive myself if I have to. I'll do whatever it takes! And I would take pictures too. I would love a picture of me infront of this:
  8. I just made a new topic on how I MAY have been to the real Carey, Ohio. It's posted in the general Orlando thread.

  9. Just as the title says, I think I have been to the real town of Carey, Ohio. I have been to Ohio several times because I have family up there. In fact, my step dad grew up there and that's where his parents live. We visit them and just the state in general whenever we can (or so it seems). My step dad grew up in Findlay, Ohio - and that's where my grandparents live. Now, here is a map of Ohio showing where Findlay is: Here is a map showing where Carey is: They are extremely close to each other as you can see. I'm not saying I have been to Carey, but I'm saying it's possible. We do a lot of driving when we go to Ohio, and with the towns being as close as they are - it for sure is possible. Maybe my family can make another trip up this summer, if so - I'll for sure take pictures for you all. Even though I'm not certain I have been, it's likely and I just thought I'd share this. -Sam
  10. I have a fairly simple want that I really hope we get for 23: Behind the Screams or Production Die-Ries. We all want a better site with more interactivity other than just the games, and I really think having the Behind the Screams or Production Die-Ries return would really benefit the online experience.
  11. Very, very neat. A&D has had thoughts before of a 2 park event, both parks with different themes, so that could be a possibility. With HU in IOA and LT in the studios, that would really be awesome. That could probably the difinitive and potentially one of the best HHN's ever. But, I wonder if all that would confuse the GP. Newcomers may not know what LT and HU is and that would confuse them a lot. But whatever, this is wishful thinking, so I'm going to have fun with these thoughts. Thanks, Mysti. On a side note, I always expected them to do another 2 park event, but some of my friends amongst the community talked me down from the idea and said to forget about it happening. Unfortunately, I did. A 2 park event may not be as likely (for all I know at least), but to dismiss the idea completely doesn't make much sense. With that being said, I do think there will eventually be another 2 park event. BUT, I always figured that when they did it again, it would be in 2014 (10 years after the first time they did it - 2004). Do you think they would be more apt to doing it on the original 2 park anniversary year? Thoughts?
  12. Yes, there is a chance for it to be at IOA - TJ has already said that both parks are always in consideration. IOA (if it ever is used again), will most likely be used for something based around fantasy. So there is always a possibility for it to be used.
  13. Good point. I guess if the traditional scarezones changed, then anything really can. It will probably just come down to how willing they are to change anything else. My mom showed me Bill & Ted when I was in grade school, and so I have known about them for awhile. And whether you grew up with them or not, the die-hard fans know of them and the show. So, it's hard to imagine what the show must feel like to those not in the know/GP. I do recall at one point during 22, a group of girls were asking the usher at B&T what the show exactly was - and he explained it okay: It's a comedy pop culture show. Even with that (which is what the show is), the girls didn't seem to get it. I don't know, maybe they were of the ditzy variety. But, yes it is hard for the GP who don't know to understand what it's all about. Now that I think of it, B&T has really become something for the hardcore fans now and not the GP. As the event come closer to the end, I swear half the audience was the fans (because half the audience recited every single one-liner from the show). I hated that scarezones changed, but now I love the hordes. I would be really sad to see B&T go (even though it's pretty weak now), but who knows maybe something else better will replace it, similar to the hordes. If I had my way, B&T would stay (with better writing), and a new horror show would be added, and a third show (a GOOD magic show or Rocky Horror, or whatever). Makes you think - if scarezones changed in 22, what else could change in 23? Probably not everything we want, but one step at a time I guess (if anything at all).
  14. I don't have a fav icon...but I tend to lean towards the Caretaker...so that's cool that he's your favorite. But, anyways - yes...I have heard all the stories of all the last minute things. Pretty bloomin' crazy. It makes me really happy to know that A&D has some tricks up their sleeves for us for next year. Running around the park like maniacs was very fun, and I hope to do it again next year. And they have a year, hopefully that will help to fix some of the bugs in the scanners, and also add some of the other scanners that did different things they wanted to add but weren't able to. And yes, I've been to other haunts and none of them have used icons. HHN can manage without them. About the unused, I really hope Eddie sees the light of Day (and yes Cindy too). But of the unused icons, Eddie is my favorite. And then maybe we can have the Run house used to its original plan.
  15. I can go with either an icon or without an icon. I do completely agree with the event being able to do well on its own though. I remember some people being genuinely pissed that there wasn't an icon this year. Sure icons are awesome, but it shouldn't be a deal-breaker...I mean c'mon. But, with the return of the interactive games for 2013 (LT/HU), the icon will probably be shaped around the games like Bloody Mary in 2008 (if there is an icon).
  16. Yeah...no. THAT would for sure kill the ambience. Keep the pop music at Bill and Ted...and even there it can take away from the show itself.
  17. Evil Dead is my favorite horror film of all time. That would be the bees knees you guys! The bees knees! But again, Knotts has also done an Evil Dead house as well. Not sure if that would diminish it's likeliness or not. And JW, the houses you'd like to see are spot on! I went into Ghost Town when I was in elementary school so I don't remember much, seeing something similar would be neat. I believe it was HHN In Photographs that listed Ghost Town has the house they wish would get a sequeal for HHN 30 Day Challenge. I'd be up for that! The Hollow 2, and another prison house, gah! These all sound really good. Hope to see these in the near future.
  18. Just some more of my comments on things others have said. 1.) A cap on ticket sales is something many have said after the large crowds of 2012...such a simple idea...hopefully it's something they employ. 2.) Kat, during the summer of 2012 (when most people figured there was only going to be 7 houses), I also pondered them constructing another tent. It's a good question: could they build a third tent? But, that question leads to more questions. Is there enough room? If so, then where would they build it? I think most of us would assume near the other two tents, but would this cause congestion? Desiging the Fear made a good point on how if there were more SS houses, the front of the park would be very clustered. If a third tent was built near the other two, would that area Kids Zone/Men in Black become congested as well? 3.) 9 houses...that sounds awesome, but is there enough budget for it? Someone mentioned on this site before: would they have a 9th house to make up for 22's loss? I would only want a 9th house if they did it out of sheer want and love, not just to make up for the loss. 4.) A fine ballance of originals and IP is fine with me. BUT, this can become shaky as well. The properties have to be of genuine interest or just good properties in general (and also how A&D handles them effects their quality as well). Some feel they didn't really understand the Silent Hill property for example. But this is just becoming nitpicky. So, final verdict: IP's and originals...but don't let the IP's dominate the event. 2 is fine, 3 at the most (and this goes with the full 8 houses). 2 at the most if 7 houses. Just my opinion. Someone also said that the focus on Uni's other construction projects could slow 23 down like it did for 22. This is possible, but hopefully (now that they know what happened with 22), they can avert it for 23. Also...now they have a full year to plan for an 8th house. So I'm fairly optomistic for an 8th, but won't be completely heart-broken if there isn't an 8th house.
  19. Yes...perfect. If done in that style (take it very seriously), it could potentially be a very beautiful and scary house.
  20. I'm on vacation and today I did a maze - apprently the largest in the world, haha. Anyways, this is the first legitimate maze I have done (as far as I can remember). It reminded me a lot of the Field of Screams scarezone in 2004. If I remember anything from that year (I was in elementary school at the time), one of them was the Field of Screams scarezone. It was very neat! A similar concept was executed in 2006 - Harvest of the Souls. Harvest of the Souls. I didn't attend 2006, regardless, doesn't that name just sound bad ass!! These are only two of the several instances where HHN has incorporated traditional/harvest Halloween into the game! I'm a huge fan of traditional Halloween (one of the reasons I am a Morphan), but it would be really cool to see a house or zone that was again, a corn field and possibly a legit maze. That'd be fun! Let's do something where they take Halloween back to it's sacrificial roots as well!
  21. An edited picture of Tiger Astronaut I made.
  22. They're coming to Orlando in January I believe at the Hardrock! I'm going to try to get tickets, but I think it's on a Thursday night, which wouldn't work well with my schedule...but then again, it's Penn & Teller.
