  1. How could I forget Zachary? Yes, the owl is another one I am considering, but the ones I have seen aren't the greatest, but I did see one that looked close to the HHN one, so I'll have to find it! Also, the cat is another one I want too. And in regards to the chicken mask, the only ones I have seen are very bulky and cumbersome. Oh man....decisions, decisions..... Oh and Mr. Black, if you ever start collecting them too, I'd love to see your progress and what you're doing with them! Thanks for the complements on my wall as well, haha.
  2. *facepalm* haha. why did I post that? --------- In other news, I'm collecting Traditional masks now! My friend gave me a tiger mask just as a present, and I got the idea to collect them and hang them in my room. Today I acquired my fox mask! It's the closet one I could find to the real HHN ones. Most of the fox masks you'll find won't have the actual eye holes where the eyes are, but the Traditional/Skool Children ones have them there. I also snagged the last of these beauties. Here it is: Here it is next to my tiger mask on my wall: I need 3 more to fill the space and I am still currently debating which ones I should pick. Anyways, I'll update you with the progress.
  3. I just noticed that the "Topics You Recently Participated In" and "New Topics" are gone from the homepage...is this is a glitch, or has the homepage been changed?

It's easier to keep track of the topics I'm this way!

  4. I got mine! I've already seen Art of the Scare, but I downloaded this for the "Horror Comes Home" aspect of it. I was curious to see what it was all about...and then I found out it was the documentary that more or less inspired Horror Night Nightmares. I remember reading about it when I joined Nightmares, but never really thought twice about it. So, it was great to finally see it! Thank you so much, it was really fantastic. Now, sorry if I sound stupid, but did you have something to do with the making of the documentary? If so, then brilliant work. I highly enjoyed it, and to anyone reading this, I highly recommend this download.
  5. Haha, I know right? And to your other comments on that same post, lets just hope we get the moveable set pieces. ---------- Through the past couple years at HHN we've been seeing similar types (or similar concept) houses appearing at the event. What I mean by this is that we've had multiple ghost houses recently and 3D houses as well. A thought just popped into my head regarding 3D houses, will we get another one? I've mentioned ghost houses before, but again, will we get another one? In 2010 we had Legendary Truth and Psychoscarepy: Echos of Shadybrook; in 2011 we had Winter's Night; in 2012 we had Dead End. After four ghost houses in a row (and two in one year), do you think we will get another one for 23? I'm not trying to raise any forms of serious speculation so early in the year, so it's just a thought and some wishful thinking. But this all leads to another question, would you want another ghost house? In 2011 we had The Inbetween, and in 2012 we had Penn & Teller. Again, do you think it's likely for there to be another 3D house? They seem to be fairly popular from the words I hear. And again, would you want another 3D house?
  6. Again, this is not the hordes fault. To my knowledge, hordes were the compromise to the SS Parade's route during the day that affected the amount of props able to be in the streets during the night (and I'm sure everyone knows this). If we can do moveable set pieces again as Brandon pointed out, then I would still like them to incorporate some aspects of the hordes. It would be like scarezones but with wondering characters. Hordes don't necessarily equal no set props, it was the SS Parade that caused this. Can we avert the lack of props next year by using moveable ones, hopefully. Also, they don't even have to be called Street Experiences, they can call them scarezones again and deem them traditional scarezones, I don't care. I just want the roaming aspect, the freedom of the actors, and the no safezones idea (even though that's a gimmick, but it's part of the roaming aspect).
  7. As I said when this thread first started, zones and hordes together would really be the best of both worlds. And it really does make sense for them to do both. We can have traditional zones with the great sets, and some characters will wonder, thus we will have the things that make both zones and hordes great. Not only should that make most of us more potentially satisfied, the scareactors as well. Most street actors I talked to said they liked the hordes and said it was less boring than zones because they weren't in the same area all the time.
  8. I can understand not liking the hordes, but it seems you not liking them (as well as others on here) stems from that they didn't have set pieces to compliment them. That's not the hordes fault. Or you might just really not like the idea and that's okay. But I like them and this is wishful thinking so: The hordes were far from perfect, but I would still like to see them again. The thing that attracts me to them is the fact they can go anywhere (stores ect). Of course there will always be safe Zones, but I found it really fun to never no exactly where they were. I had fun hunting them down, of course at times it was annoying and you could go a night not seeing a certain legion, but it helped to not make it as bland. Not to see the same thing in the same area for the whole night. I think if there was elaborate sets again, then I think people might be more apt to enjoying the hordes. We couldn't have big sets last year anyways (as far as I'm concerned), so hordes made up for that. So they still haven't been used to their full potential, which I'd really love to see!
  9. If I'm going to be honest, every year - before the full reveal, I always freak out that they're might be a spider themed house. I would die! You couldn't get me to step in that. Not a chance. It's funny actually because everyone has their fears or that one fear, whether it be something quirky (like dolls or old people, yes I'm being serious haha), or mental institutions ect, the only thing that makes me shudder upon thinking about it is spiders. Nothing else. Pretty lame I know. Clowns scared me when I was very young, but not anymore. In fact, I'd like some sort of carnival theme to a scarezone/horde or even a house. Bring it on! ---- I think it would be cool if they did a sequel scarezone to Fright Yard. It doesn't have to connect IOA or Uni, it can just be in one park. I just thought that would be neat.

  13. At one point a couple years ago I kept waking up at 5 in the morning for no apparent reason which had happened on several occasions. Out of curiosity and fun I looked up the symbolism behind the number 5 to see what I would find. From what I found (I don't know how true this is, or what my exact source was or the credibility of said source), but it stated that 5 was often considered an evil number. The main reason to back this claim was the fact that they're 5 points on the pentagram, which you find assocated with satanism and witchcraft. Again, not sure how credible this is, but I thought I'd throw it out there to see if anyone has apposing arguments or opinions to the claim.
  14. The whole idea of having a corn field inside for a house is for sure possible. Yes, they'd most likely have to be fake (at least for the most part), but if I'm correct - I believe Knotts has done something very similar to this, so it's definitely possible.
