  1. Okay, not gonna lie....but all this permit talk has gotten me hecka excited.
  2. Now, for my next guess, I'm really only going off the word and not much else. The word is Spanish for silence, and in Portuguese, silence is also Silencio. If you look at it from the Portuguese (or Brazilian) side, there is the infamous horror icon, Coffin Joe. Doing anything with these movies might honestly be too controversial, but it's worth the guess. Plus I don't recall him being mentioned here. Also, there are many dialects of Spanish...think of all the countries that speak Spanish. It doesn't have to be Mexico necessarily.
  3. I think El Chupucabra is a possibility. Oh, and a Day of the Dead house would be amazing. EM is one of my favorite scarezones of all time.
  4. I love how about a good minute of the video was dedicated to my off-beat guesses. Haha.
  5. I think Christine is way too obvious, but who knows, it could be exactly that. If it really is Christine, I honestly don't see them pulling it off. No offense to A&D, but that's a hard property to dabble with. They could have some creepy car-garage scenes, but that's about the extent that I can think of (though I haven't seen the movie in a long time and I never read the book). And who, or what, would be the scareactors? Would it be animatronic cars... or people dressed as cars. Okay...that I'd pay to see. This must be the humor house of the year, haha.
  6. Yeah, it would be really cool. In my opinion I think the concept of the Blair Witch Project is very scary and it's one of the few horror movies to ever genuinely creep me out. Though, some people don't find it scary, but what scares you may not exactly scare me. Everyone has specific nails that strike with them. Anyways, if I want to get on an over-thought tangent, well we have the Blair Witch. People have speculated that American Horror Story might be a house, and season 3 of the show will be based around witches and voodoo. Hm...
  7. I don't know if anyone noticed this... On Doc's cryptic statement: Surname, most of us figured it was The Walking Dead (because Doc's surname is 'Walker'). But what about the surname Karloff, yet still keep The Walking Dead, because Karloff was in a 1936 horror film called The Walking Dead.
  8. If you bring a chalkboard into the equation, that makes me think more of a school or schoolhouse (i.e. Carry, Ohio and the Skool).
  9. "Six degrees are all I need to ensure that your minds Bake." "On to the next and we will see if you have what it <deleted>." Well it appears the word "takes" would fit in place. It was probably "deleted" as part of the clue; in an effort to be more cryptic. So "takes" was deleted. I'm not sure what to draw from that.
  10. All night the calls came in...

  11. Yeah, I've been debating that as well. It's fixin' to be another IP dominated year, so theme-wise, will it be like last year? Will an IP be the theme, like how The Walking Dead was? Theme? *scoffs* theme, my ass. Or maybe we will get something coherent and not just a bunch of random houses like last year. Though with so many possibilities for IPs, and so many varying worlds and ideas, I feel that would be pretty hard. It wouldn't be impossible, but is it likely? I am unsure. A coherent theme would show a lot of effort and maybe more originality, depending on what they do, could do, or are alloud to do with it. Though, if they're going to "follow the money," as Penn would say, a popular IP as a theme would bring in the bucks.
  12. You're welcome, Chris. Haha. And to prove your point even more, I screen-capped the generic site the first day it went up and it sates select nights through Sept and Oct. And of course we know now it extends into November. So you're not going to find many useful things on the generic site (at least if they do it like previous years).
  13. I screen-capped the generic website the first day it went up. Here is a screen-cap after the dates were announced. All appears to be the same except for the addition of the dates.
  14. Well if we really want to get technical, the generic website states "spine-chilling street experiences" and " shocking scarezones."
  15. When the general website first came out, I did notice how a lot of the pictures were from HHN 18, and there is obviously HU/LT this year. It may not mean anything, and if it was intentional maybe it was more of an homage. That's just how I always saw it.
  16. Event dates, slight website update, and a new cryptic statement! Quite a busy day in the community.

  17. "Shake your booty while the band complains."

  18. I was playing a cool but cheesy Halloween app on my phone. All was pretty normal UNTIL...
  19. I'd love that! Hell, if we're going to have an IP dominated year, can we at least have some good ones?
  20. This looks amazing! I'm gonna make this my little end of the school year treat to myself. The 3-day pass in only $30! What a deal!
  21. True...but I don't see it being that. I either see the clue being the obvious answer or not. I don't have any reason to back up why I feel this way, I just do. Maybe it's part of my denial towards TWD returning.
  22. I've been thinking much of the same things as others on here. Actually, just before I caught up on speculation today, I thought to myself: Isn't 'surname' a bit too easy of a clue? And then I thought, well so was 'Winnebago.' But Chris beat me to saying it haha. But, surname could be a very "sufficiently cryptic" clue. If it's not The Walking Dead then anything is fair game really. It could even be Ray Bradbury, who was mentioned several times in the wishful thinking thread a couple months ago. He is a master of the macabre and anything from him would be wonderful (he's my favorite author, so excuse my bias). As a fan of reading, Shakespeare is perfectly fine as well.
