  1. POST #1: Okay, so Thursday the 25th was crazy! These are some personal highlights, and damn there are a lot. Just a note, there will be multiple posts because there is so much. First off, I want to apologize to Cast A of Traditionals. The reason why is because for the whole course of HHN 22, I fell in love with Rosie and Tiger Astronaut instantly, and then figured out they were in the same cast, so I only chased Cast B down. So, I have spent the whole event hunting them (and others in Cast B, and not the other fantastic and talented people in Cast A. Tiger Astronaut is the Tiger Astronaut, so enough said there. And Rosie is extremely dynamic and crazy, which makes her AMAZING! But so are some actors in Cast A, but they're are more nice, haha, so it balances everything out. If I want to be harassed, I'll find Rosie, if I want to party and receive hugs, I'll find Cast A. So, that's why I regret not playing with them very much because the event is almost over so my time to fully experience them is limited, which is very unfortunate. Oh well! But, hey lets get this started! First, before I start talking about specifics of the different casts, I want to say that I am finally making up to the rest of the Traditionals who didn't get a song or shirt. So, on Thur I spent over $20 on candy, but first I asked specific people what they wanted. Mandy, I hope you enjoyed the Mini MnMs. So, to all the Traditionals, much love and much candy! There is still more to come! If you want some info on the Morphan task, 2 words: holy shit. I mean...actually, I don't know what I mean. It was ridiculous, haha. At one point Rosie held the Morphan Baby up and imitated the Lion King. She also sat in an inappropriate pose for her age for the group picture, lol. Rosie! You're a little girl, show some decency, haha just kidding. Also, a bunch of us met up and attempted to figure out the task. And some points we harassed the cast, instead of them harassing us. I actually did the bravest thing of my life, I chased Rosie down. Also, we bribed many of the Traditionals with candy to tell us where the task was. A lot of candy was given to Tiger Astronaut as well that night, which is amazing. I was talking to him during the beginning of the night and told him how on the forums everyone talks about giving candy to other Traditionals, but I never heard anything about anyone giving him candy. When I told him this he just did a big shrug which was awesome. He also doesn’t have a specific preference on candy. So...basically, I bought him a shit ton, and I'ma buy him a shit ton more! I am spoiling him before the event is over. xD And because he doesn't have a preference I bought him like sour stuff, minty stuff, and chocolate! Anyways, but then a lot of people in my group started giving him candy, which warmed my heart. Tiger, you're welcome. Okay, on with Cast A, shall we! So, from Cast A, I met two incredible scare-actors/characters! Um....let's start with Owl Boy. Also note, like Tiger Astronaut, there is only one Owl Boy. Okay, like Fox Girl, she has a name: Rosie. Well! Owl Boy has a name as well. I'm not sure if this is his real name (because he responded to it instantly), or if it is a character name like Roise...but anyways, it's Zach (I hope that's how you spell it, haha....Zack?). Here are his highlights: I was on my way to Gothic (with Justin), and Justin asked Zach if he wanted to go to church with us (lol). And Zach's response was beyond fantastic. I think I pissed myself. He said that he is allergic to church and that it makes him bust out in hives. What makes this so great is that he talks with a very kid-like voice (like a lot of the Traditionals do), but his is one of the best. It's cutely innocent and funny, making his response so much more humorous. He also has recurring jokes about his over-protective mother, which are hysterical. Here is one: He is not allowed on FaceBook because his mother says there are: “smexual pwedators” on FaceBook. He also likes dark chocolate, and so does his mother. Okay, Zach also does this crazy dance, which is amazing. He just started dancing and sticking his butt out and then shouted: “LOOK AT MY BUTT” to the guests walking by. Also, he does the “Make It Rain” thing with Justin which is hilarious. It involves him trying to catch the candy someone drops for him...I can’t really explain it. At one point he mentioned Rosie, and said that: Rosie hates everyone, but I love everyone.” And that right there proves the balancing out of both casts. Rosie is funny/interactive in a mean way, whereas Zach is funny/interactive in a nice, hilarious, and witty way. He also is apparently dating Rosie too. He said he likes her, but he doesn’t like her. BUT, he does have his coody shot! So everything is okay! And later on, I will discuss more of Rosie’s boyfriends...yes plural...oh dear lord! Well, that is all I can think of right now, but in all, Zach, if you’re reading this, you’re fantastic and you have a special treat coming your way. One of the reason I liked this interaction with you so much is because when the event first started, I saw you but you weren’t as crazy (at least from what I saw). Not to say that’s bad, but I don’t know what happened to you, you’ve gone completely nuts, maybe it’s the sugar. Fantastic performance. You are much loved and appreciated and remembered. (This picture was taken by me on the 5th of October, not the 25th)
  2. Here's one of the Priosner sacres I managed to catch with my camera. This photo was taken by me. Other highlights from this legion (so far...): 1.) One of them burped on me... 2.) "Ladies...RAGE!" 3.) They de-masculate every man in the near vicinity...I have said this numerous times before, but I can't get over it...it's too great. 4.) A couple nights ago there was a Prisoner standing near the Cafe/Central Park and she was just shouting: "GINGIVITIS!" In a really hoarse voice...HILARIOUS!!! Everyone was laughing/having a good time. Lol. 5.) They have harassed me several times and it is wonderful. 6.) One of them flashed a, well....sensual gesture involving their tongue to one of my female friends...oh dear... xD
  3. I didn't start a band for songs about HHN called "The Tiger Astronaut" for no reason...I now must praise him. xD This is one of his scares I managed to capture that night. LOOK AT THE GIRL!!! He made her f******** fall over!!! So amazing. He was on fire that night. This photo was taken by me.
  4. I love Fox Boy too! I love foxes in genereal....hence my username. xD I would bring him candy but out of nowhere sounds kind of weird...lol. I kind of want to buy a huge bag of candy and throw it in the middle of all the Traditionals (when they are standing around - waiting for the cast change) and shout: "FIGHT TO THE DEATH."
  5. Corey, I loose my shit everytime I look at this! This is fantastic! I was telling the Horror Unearthed group on FaceBook that this NEEDS to be spread to every corner of the Internet. What if us HHN fans launch a new successful meme..... Lol.
  6. Rosie is a very emotional one! Here's a story for you, I love the Traditional: "The Tiger Astronaut." I'm sure you know who he is...anyways, I made a shirt that, well praised him, and wore it that night. By this point, I had already had many talks with Rosie (and she even said my name in the video...but I didn't notice). She actually said hi to me (on her own) before the tragedy happened. Anyways, she saw the shirt I was wearing and began to flip shit! Like, oh my god...someone earlier mentioned not even an 8 year old could throw a tantrum like that, and you're so right! I flimed it if you're interested...here's the video: If you watch the video I posted above, you can see I really broke Rosie's heart. I knew that all the candy in the world couldn't fix it, so I used my music skills and wrote a song for her, offering my forgiveness. (I am the guy with the guitar). Here's the song: Also, Mandy, I think you're in the video as well. With the red lighting it's hard to tell. But, I apoogize to you and the rest of the Traditionals for kind of coming off like an ass. I had no idea how to handle the situation, and you all kind of "gang raped me," with words/demands for candy/hate/crying/and arghh! haha. It was a bit much. Hope to see all you again soon! Keep on doing amazing as you have been!
  7. I have updated my profile on some news regarding HHN. :)

  8. Is there a way to tell whether it is Cast A or Cast B?

Is it the same for street actors? Thanks for responding.

I think it is, but I find it very difficult to determine start times for the different legions. There is also transit time in getting to their locations. However, the 45 minute mark should still be a pretty good guide. You're welcome, hope you're having fun!

      Okay, thanks! So much!

And yes I am having a great time this year. I hope all is well with you.

  9. 100,000 Life Force! Woot!

  10. I can not stop praising the casts of the Traditionals. 1.) The Monkey Guy: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=510767815619493&set=a.510759318953676.130632.100000588370452&type=1&theater I took his picture while he was wondering around (which is why I had flash on) but I guess he was looking at me because right when I snapped the photo he just stopped. Started to stumble and then swat at the air (acting as if he couldn't see), he began to fall bakward and then swiftly ran at me, yelled in my face and then ran away like a lunatic. Fan-fu*****-tastic! 2.) Owl: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=510767532286188&set=a.510759318953676.130632.100000588370452&type=1&src=http%3A%2F%2Fsphotos-b.xx.fbcdn.net%2Fhphotos-prn1%2F559420_510767532286188_1007670441_n.jpg&size=960%2C720 He was creep-tastic! I just love the "shh" pose...so eerie. 3.) The monkey girl I don't have a picture of her because this experienced happened on a night I did not have my camera. Anyways, the girl was doing these freaky little dances in the fog, and them my friends and I began to comment and laugh. She thanked us for that, and then every time she saw us she would do the dance or do a mock-disco dance. Funny and brilliant. It was a nice interaction with a friendly scare-actor who really seemed to enjoy her job. 4.) Tiger: http://www.facebook.com/photo.php?fbid=510764065619868&set=a.510759318953676.130632.100000588370452&type=1&src=http%3A%2F%2Fsphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net%2Fhphotos-snc6%2F247647_510764065619868_1657896002_n.jpg&size=960%2C720 I am seriously in love with this characeter, and the guy playing him did an awesome job. I included him because he is one of my favorties but also because I feel like I know him....does anybody here know him so I can see if I do...I just saw him and my mind clicked to him automatically...strange. 5.) Pumpkin Head (of course) One actor playing Pumpkin Head did FANTASTIC! He had these girls cornered and they were crouching infront of him and covering their faces; litteraly cowering in fear. They finally looked up, he screamed, they freaked out and ran away and then he stood in place and started shouting back at them, he followed that with a maniacle laugh that was brilliant. I don't think i've ever seen such an effective scare-actor/one that got so into it. He also did these really freaky/crazy-person like body positions and gestures when he was yelling at the girls. Okay now one for the Prisoners! 1.) These girls are crazy sexual and just frightening! But I love it. It really shows their acting props becuase any guy who is in the vicinity of a prisoner is automatically de-masculated! And as a guy myself, I find that hilarious. XD
  11. I am picking up my badge tonight because I was not able to attend last week. Is the 7 in 1 badge still a thing? And can you do the 7 in 1 and do the triad/current tasks in one night? Or is it even worth it to try for both because the passes are having issues...
  12. DOES ANYONE KNOW where to pick up the passcards/and how to register them for Horror Unearthed?? Are they at different places on different dates? I am going tomorrow, Friday October 5th. I would greatly appreciate the help! Thanks!

To the left of the gates, by the rentals. I believe they start giving the cards away at 6pm.

Gah! Thank you, you've helped me out a lot! :D

  13. My God, that scare gets me everytime. I actually start cringing and get anxious when that corner comes around. xD
  14. I'll be visiting Carey, Ohio this weekend! I can't wait. I have a few friends in Ohio that know of the town. Last time I was there we stopped by the Wyndott Estate, but now we're trying the Hartford Mansion. It's suppose to be scarier. I can't wait. Wish me luck! I hope I don't fall through the floorboards! :P

  15. Haha, it's funny that you mentioned that they had to close a resturant which is not true. The resturant that was close to PhyscoScarepy smelled pretty bad, but actually the resturant did amazing with selling food. Lol. This was learned on the Unmasking the Horror Tour from HHN XX.
  16. Woot! Opening weekend is now complete! Despite the rain, this has been a great kick off to this year’s event. I have just returned from HHN 22, I have a beverage in hand, and a fading amount of energy. So, let’s get this over with. I apologize in advance for this review not being so coherent, as I said, I am very tired. Houses: *I am not giving any houses (blank out of blank stars) because I feel it’s too early in the event and that is just too specific for me right now. *So these are my opinions on the house after two days of digesting them. *Note: Every house has great scares, but you have a high chance of missing some due to bad luck. Lets go in order shall we! 1.) Silent Hill: Upon entering this house, there will be two things you will notice. One, the facade is beautifully eerie. Two, it smells like barbecue. Now, I am not a gamer, so I have never played any of the games, but I have seen the movie. From what I have seen and what I know, this house did a pretty great tribute to the series. The house was filled with atmosphere and nice scares. Two things that were strange though is that the one large group of nurses didn’t move and neither did the rabbit at the end. I’m not sure if that is how it is suppose to be, but I hope not. Other than that this has was fantastic. One of the most memorable moments is probably the room with all the merry-go-round equipment/horses (for me at least). 2.) Gothic: Three words: Oh my God. This house was amazing in every way and every aspect! I can not get enough of this house. Going through this house is the equivalent of being on HHN Ecstasy. But, what makes this house so great? For starters, the facade is one of the best to date, it also is fairly chilly inside (which is nice after standing in the hot/humid Florida nights), the costumes are fantastic, amazing soundtrack/music as well as atmosphere, and some very neat scares. This house employs some of the coolest scares at this year’s event. We have the amazing mirror tricks, gargoyles on zip lines and stilts, great use of strobe lights and darkness, sound effects are right on track, and it even has a scene among the stars. Not only does Gothic have all that, it has some of the most effective use of boo-holes with strobe lights and noise I have ever seen. What more could you want out of an HHN house? I strongly believe this will go down as one of the best in HHN History. 3.) Dead End: Creepy dilapidated house all the kids in the neighborhood whisper about, check. House filled with ghosts and goblins, check. Legendary Truth perfected, check. Damn, pretty good start. This house captures a great essence of Halloween. Walking inside, you feel like a kid again who has been dared to enter the creepy old house at the end of the street (on Halloween of course). One of my disclaimers before mentions that you may miss some scares going through the houses this year...after going through it twice, I saw some of the same scares and some I didn’t see return and then I saw some new ones. There is one really cool scare involving a spirit who keeps repeating her own hanging, complete with loads of bent neck. Very cool. There is also a spirit continuously scaling the staircase, which is very chilling to see. Like Gothic, this house uses classic HHN mirror gags and even has some new scares in it that are very interesting and absolutely, unexpectedly terrifying. Dead End is very fun and enjoyable and I love every bit of it. Oh yeah, it even has some pretty cool projections as well. 4.) The Walking Dead: It seems every year has that “loud house.” Yes, this is a VERY LOUD house. It bothers some people, but I don’t mind. Some of the actors inside matched the loudness with aggressiveness, but some did not. The beginning in the hospital was cool, but I really wish the zombie in the elevator would run at you during a strobe effect. I just feel like everything in the opening room was a distraction-scare, but nothing was distracting you from another approaching scare. Anyways, it still made for a good, and for the most part, fairly strong opening room for the house. The room was complete with hanging “live” wires and some electrical sound effects to match. Some wires even lit up (which really, really looked like sparks), at some point your instincts will kick in and tell you to refrain from the wires, but then you remember this is just a haunted house. The very industrial-esq room was a highlight for me, that room had a very big scare in it. Two other highlights are: the winnebago with the shotgun and water spurts, and the horse-shit stenched barn. The barn is also a very scary part of the house. Also the house is not over when you think it is. Well done, but could fit some room for minor improvements. 5.) Penn & Teller New(KD) Las Vegas: Ahh, this years humor house (but with a bit more scare). All around, this is a very enjoyable house. It had everything I wanted (expect the real Penn & Teller - I just missed them). There isn’t really too much that comes to mind about this house right now, but I assure you it is great. It may be something you have to see to believe. But, there were a few things that largely stand out to me. One, the light room is very disorienting and pretty damn scary the first time you walk through it. Two, all the interactive buttons are a major highlight. Great house, I highly recommend it, especially if you’re looking for something scary (but not too scary), and just a damn good time. 6.) Alice Cooper - Welcome To My Nightmare: Alice Cooper was tied in the bottom with The Walking Dead, but in-fact, this house delivered very well! It starts off in a sponge-cell room (like what you would see in a mental hospital) and is complete with thin foam-mattresses that obstruct your vision. This room comes with a spastic guy in a straight-jacket (very effective with the strobes). Another really good scare in this house is the guy in the ceiling. Alice Cooper’s music fits the house nicely and I enjoyed it very much. Though, one gripe with this house, what the hell is that one lady dancing on the pole in the one room all about? Is it suppose to be a distraction-scare, because I have gone through this house three times and that room just seemed weird and pointless. 7.) House of Horrors: I had high hopes for this one after hearing how scary Dead Exposure was. Unfortunately, it did not deliver on the same level as that house. The biggest issue, it is not dark enough. In the sprung tents, you can have complete and total darkness, which I was hoping the Parade Building could match, but I guess not. You can see almost everything coming. The only scares you will get are from the loud sound effects and the monsters hiding behind walls and corridors. I really want to love this house, and I really like it, but it just isn’t there (yet). I hope there is a way they can make the PB darker, but I’m not going to count on it. It seems like every actor gave their all and I appreciate that. Also, the claustrophobic part is cool, but I just missed the scares both times going through it. The last room was very scary and disorienting the first time I went through it on Friday. But, Saturday (when I went through), the actors didn’t have as much energy and were not as in to it. Oh well. To me, this is the house that I am really excited to see its evolution over the course of the event. A further note on houses: Honestly they are all tied and I want to love them all equally so much! But, if I HAD to choose, I would probably go with Gothic. Street Experiences: *Note it rained the first night (so for the most part, the hordes were not out on the streets) so most of these impressions are from Saturday night, which means I don’t feel as if I have a “full” feeling of the hordes yet. 1.) The Iniquitus: They were more of a photo op horde, but when they were scary, they could be pretty scary. 2.) Vampires: Nice use of make-up and masks. I have heard complaints about the masks and make-up being cheesy and bad this year, but I think they are fine and most every scare actor looks great (but, there are some exceptions). The vampires were cool and on Friday, their presence was felt the most. I really like the Nosferatu vampire. 3.) Beasts: I only saw a few. They looked pretty cool, but I didn’t really see them enough to judge. 4.) Warriors: They were pretty cool as well. They had some scariness about them, but I think this a horde that is going to take some breaking-in to. 5.) Prisoners: All-female Chainsaw Drill Team...not bad, not bad. The female scare actors get pretty in to it (very in to it actually), and even thrown in some snarky comments along the way which can be pretty funny. One of them flashed my female friend a suggestive gesture with her tongue. *shivers* haha. Though, from what I saw around me, they weren’t very effective...I am not sure why... 6.) Traditionals: These are FOR SURE my favorite horde. They are creepiest and the actors playing these characters get the most into it. I also felt their presence the strongest overall. Them being around gives the event more of that nice Halloween like feel. Traditionals were also the horde I was the most excited for and they DID NOT disappoint AT ALL! Also, this is the horde I joined on the games for this years event, haha. 7.) Walkers: Pretty scary. I enjoyed this horde a lot. The actors got pretty into their roles, some were fairly convincing, which is always a bonus. So, hordes over all were pretty well done. All the props and stuff were FANTASTIC and eerie. But, these new Street Experiences are for sure going to require time to break in. I feel the whole “roaming hordes” concept has not been perfected, but they are trying, and I will give it time. With the whole “no safe zone” talk, I’m sure you know that is total bull, haha. But, because the hordes have a potential to be anywhere in the park, I do feel it was scarier than Scare Zones, but I’m not sure if I prefer one or the other just yet. Probably the best thing with the hordes is that music and lighting is through out MOST of the park, which helps to unify it as one big scare zone. Shows: 1.) Bill and Ted: Meh, it was okay. This year’s show was not as good as last years. I primarily blame that on the lack of genuinely great stuff to make fun of this year, but oh well, they tired. I could see there being a re-write, but I could see it staying the same. I guess we will have to wait and see. 2.) 20 Penny Circus: Very sexual and has no shame in showing it. This was a pretty humorous show, and for those disappointed with Bill and Ted, try this one. But, other than that, it’s just a typical magic show, but it did have some memorable moments...the grand finale wasn’t bad. Overall: This year’s event has been great so far and I can’t wait to see it evolve! There are more things I want to say, but I am getting way too tired. Anyways, I will re-review the event after it is over. Thanks for reading, TsunamiFox
  17. On my way to HHN. :D So excited! Lets hope the rain passes!

  18. I am very impressed with the merchandise this year. I want the hoodie, house shirt (just for tradition, it's not that great in my opinion), and the Silent Hill shirt. The creepy ass bunny really makes that shirt. haha.
  19. I liked it, but I didn't put a ring on it. -_-

  20. I bought it likes 2 weeks ago, but now I had time to pick it up at Universal! I finally am holding my Frequent Fear!! :D

  21. So we have the bunny mask...I wonder what else there will be...it's so exciting, 5 days and we'll know!
