  1. OK, Jeramy, thanks, I really haven't looked at all that stuff on the media site or anything yet.
  2. I wish we had shirts with the streets on them, and house-specific shirts, and shirts that are more fitted, for women. HOS really outdoes HHN on the merchandise front. I don't know what it's so hard to think of cool merch, because you know that shit would sell.
  3. A word to team members attending, not working the event-please behave yourselves and treat scareactors, etc, with respect. We know you are all jaded, but can you at least pretend to be scared?
  4. I agree that the DIrector indeed has the coolest, and largest, area, although Jack's area is pretty great as well. I can't wait for you all to see the scarezone in action, because it is going to ROCK! I shall let you all be surprised on opening night. BTW, if that is the LT facade, that pic should not be here. NO ONE is allowed in those areas, only TMs that are working there or tech crew or directly involved with it. Even entertainment crew from other venues can't go in the soundstages. Hate to be the party pooper, and it is a fantastic picture, but that kind of stuff should not even be taken, let alone posted anywhere online.
  5. I absolutely ADORE the pumpkins, and they are probably my favorite decorations from HHN. I so want to do this at home one year, but alas, I have no artistic talent whatsoever, and I imagine it would cost me a fortune to buy enough of them to make it look THIS cool. This is something they need never change, IMHO.
  6. Which Bruce, our Bruce here in Orlando, or Bruce in Tennessee? Either way, that's great, really looking forward to this tour.
  7. When you say steamy, Mae, I conjure up images of hot, hunky guys in a steamy shower or steam room. Hmmmm, I can dream, can't I?
  8. I believe the specialty drink is usually the same from year to year, but the name changes. Last year, a beer was $8 and the specialty drink was $10 ( ), and I would expect a slight increase in prices for this year. Don't know how anyone can afford to get smashed considering those prices! Dos Equis should DEFINITELY be the beer of choice!
  9. Hey, I still do not know exactly what I'll be doing, and since everything is under wraps this year, I can't say anything until after the event starts. It's all mere speculation at this point. I was lucky enough to kind of/sort of see and hear some of 20 Years of Fear rehearsals last night, and I do believe more props were going up in Fear Revealed, and last minute details were being completed in Hollywood. Going to hang out at the parks before my rehearsal today, and I'm so excited to see what it is going to look like. BTW, people were sitting on that rocking chair yesterday taking pictures, and I so wanted to chase them off. Didn't notice anyone going into the ticket booth, but it's bound to happen. Le sigh, tourists.
  10. Love that little "room" section, which is most likely for the Storyteller. Guess that person might get to sit down from time to time. I only hope the icons get to be out and scaring people, not just sitting on their butts for photos for each set.
  11. Where the hell are the pics of Mel's? Rehearsals are Thursday night, so it better damn well be completed by then, because it was last year.
  12. Once again, I don't like the shirts too much. I wish they had more variety and the designs differed a bit from year to year, so I will most likely go yet another year without a t-shirt. I've NEVER bought one.
  13. Haha, Eyeballs, you'll probably be with me and Jake.
  14. As has been noted before, Fear Revealed will not be "decorated" until after RTU, because right now, there's a big temp stage up, and an area, where the concession stage was last year, that I assume is for the controls for lighting, sound, etc. I can't WAIT to see what my scarezone will look like, as I have pretty much no idea what the plans are for it. I imagine construction will start Saturday night/Sunday morning, as soon as RTU guests leave, because our first rehearsals are Sept 16. IF I have time, big if, during my shift tomorrow, I'll take a stroll through some scarezones to check things out, but I will NOT be taking any photos. Haven't been in the park since Sunday, so looking forward to seeing some new things here and there.
  15. There are many props left to put out, and it's looking to be an amazing year! As much as I loved Horrorwood last year, I agree that the scarezones were small and weak, so I'm terribly happy to see some decent sized sz's and truly jaw dropping props and set decorations out so far.
  16. I find that commercial to be very bland. Hope the main one is much better and scarier.
  17. I am THRILLED that you all are most looking forward to my street, and I hope it lives up to the awesome Horrorwood Die-In. Saws and Steam is indeed the chainsaw area, as I know at least one person cast there, with a chainsaw.
  18. There isn't a venue change with B&T, as far as I know, although FF is being used for RTU church services Sunday morning.
  19. Yeah, I was thinking something like that, because the carriage is going where the stage is currently located.
  20. Remember the big lighting thingy that was over Asylum in Wonderland? It was being installed in Hollywood streets today. Nothing else in the streets at all, from what I could tell, except a small platform where the concession stand in Horrorwood was last year, but it may be for RTU, as it is directly opposite the stage.
  21. Bruinsfan, you MADE MY DAY!!! LOVE the video! So, is anyone else getting a "forbidden" message when they go to the website?
  22. Punctuation-it's a good thing. You'll probably start seeing fog boxes and some things that aren't too much "Halloweeny" looking going up now, and as soon as RTU is over, and I mean like, as soon as those folks exit the parks, full-on construction in the streets starts. RTU is the weekend after Labor Day, and this is the biggest reason why streets rehearse last. I, for one, find this the most exciting part of the event getting ready to start.
  23. Thanks, but when I click that, it says "Forbidden". I sometimes just don't have the patience to click through a site looking at stuff. Guess I'll visit the site again. Edit-actually, I can't access the site at all right now, and I was just looking at it less than 5 minutes ago. DAMMIT!
  24. Excuse me for being stupid, but where are you all getting the idea that Fear is an icon? This year seems icon-less to me, and that is not necessarily a bad thing, IMHO. I agree that the site is just kind of meh, compared to years past. 2007 was indeed the best year for the website, but far from my favorite year in person. The website, I think, is only intended to give us an idea of what to expect, and I would much rather have a lackluster website and a totally kick ass year, than visa versa. Has anyone else noticed that with Fear Revealed, you see the faces of the Storyteller and Jack floating in and out?
  25. I agree that the descriptions don't necessarily create great excitement, but what I think about it will blow all other HHNs out of the water is in the execution. I find it interesting that we have no real icon, and that is fine with me (was the icon something Roddy insisted upon, perhaps, and now that he's gone the icons are gone too?). Don't downplay what you are reading, wait for the event to see how it all really plays out. I only hope it's as great as 2008 (Reflections of Fear excepted).
