  1. Bruinsfan, that's an excellent picture of Margie as the Storyteller. It seems that my cast, cast A, gets most of the photo ops for whatever reason, and it's wonderful to see my counterpart doing such a great job.
  2. When I read how much the true fans appreciate all of our hard work, it warms my heart, and makes putting up with the not-so-well-behaved guests worthwhile. We really do it all for you!
  3. Those pictures are of cast B Cindy, and they are both terrific. You know, we do have a break between our areas, so I think the confusion comes with the similar names: 20 Years of Fear and Fear Revealed. As you walk up Hollywood Blvd, the last scaractors you will encounter in 20 Years are the Ice Queen and Pumpkinhead. There's a little break with no one in it, then to your right is Jack's tent, and up a bit on the left in the Storyteller (me).
  4. Sorry you had a lousy night, Jeramy, but please do return. It's hard to explain how it can feel to work HHN and have to deal with drunks and idiots all night; it's a wonder we aren't like that all the time. Secondly, when an incident happens, no team member is under any obligation to tell any guest what is happening, and in fact, you really aren't supposed to. I can see both points here. You are understandably upset because you were treated rudely by more than one person, and I can see the other side of why people are rude because I know what it's like to work the event. The parking thing is inexcusable.
  5. I am somewhat disturbed by the lack of security presence in my scarezone, and this has been discussed with the coordinators. Last year in Mel's, we usually had 3 security/cops every night, stationed in that area, and this year, they just walk around. Some of the icons take a lot of abuse, and knowing that security is nearby would be really helpful.
  6. Tara is an AMAZING Cindy, I'm sure she'll appreciate the compliment! Thanks so much for the good words; we do work really hard to make this scarezone actually scary, and that can be difficult considering our roles. And I love our Minions! They work their butts off during each set, and they all do a fantastic job!
  7. GOD! I hate people like this, but I love it when they get their comeuppance and get scared to death anyway! I think we should catch all those people, strap them into the icons sets, and make them listen to idiots all night long and see how they like it.
  8. That was my cast, cast A, in Fear Revealed at that time. I wish I could see the Caretaker, but because he's tucked away in his corner, I can never see what the heck he's doing, while I can *usually* easily see what my other cast mates have going on. I am so happy you were able to get scares in our street!
  9. Ugh, yes, but I understand the confusion-we are close together, with similar names. TNA, 20 Years of Fear is in the prop warehouse, on Hollywood Blvd, and has characters from past years, such as Wolfman, Pumpkinhead, Crypt Keeper, etc. Fear Revealed in by Mel's, has all the icons, the big XXs, and Fear himself. Fear speaks? I had no idea! I don't get a chance to get that close to him.
  10. Thanks, Shotguy, you've solved one mystery for me. THANKS!
  11. Kathy, I'm pretty sure that was me. I think only about 4 or 5 people have actually called me by my character's real name, and it always impresses me greatly.
  12. Actually, the B&T is not particularly highly rated this year. 06 is the absolute best B&T ever, and I don't think they'll ever top it. And, I have no plans to return this year; I only have one more night off, and I'd much rather see houses and maybe Brian Brushwood. Once was enough.
  13. I have a question-why was the spine-ripping table missing in the first hour, at least, last night? When we went through, and saw only the Body Collector and no table, I said "where's the spine ripping?" and the BC kind of shrugged his shoulders. Same thing second run-through, and even on the 3rd time through, on the other cast. Thank goodness it was back later in the evening. Dr Jimmy and I kindly applauded the spine ripping, and the BC gave us a little bow.
  14. Some of our best entertainment of the evening last night was sitting in the Boulangerie, having a nosh, and watching (mostly) teenage girls come running through the restaurant because the CDT was after them. Later, we saw them in New York a couple of times. It's great to see them back, because they fill in some holes in the streets, and watching those nicely built men is easy on the eyes, too.
  15. I was tired and forgot to add my two cents in on this house: I've done 2 run-throughs, once after work last weekend, at the very end of the night, and once last night, while it was still light outside. I really like this house, for some reason, especially in daylight. Seeing Scott with the megaphone made my night; he lived up to my expectations, and that casting could not have been more perfect. We made a 2nd attempt to go through around 9-ish, but the house was closed for "technical difficulties", and I never got back to it. Don't worry, I will make at least one or two more run-throughs beforre the event ends.
  16. What this house needs is....MORE COWBELL!! Seriously, it could have really used some more set pieces and hidey-holes and scareactors, for heaven's sake. That would turn an ok house into a really good, possibly great, house.
  17. Victoria, I thought you were Medusa, but there were 2 other people, and I think they were guys, who called me by name.
  18. I went through this house in daylight, and thought it was great. The cast is SO energetic! Unfortunately, I did not get back a 2nd time, but I promise I'll hit it up at least twice on my next visit. Am I the only one that doesn't mind going through houses when I can actually see all the details?
  19. Quite impressed this house, and it many of the scenes do truly look like the Paris catacombs. Love the coughing plague doctors, and I wish I'd had more time to read the plaques. Yeah, the facade is really shitty, but the house makes up for it. I was pleasantly surprised.
  20. Loved this house-gorgeous sets, great effects, good scares. Went through twice, and I think we may have either had bad timing, or hit cast change, as we did not see nearly as many scares or scareactors around. That being said, that chair costume is the most badass costume I've ever seen-pure genius. Also, by far the most beautiful facade Universal has ever built-I want a house like it, and it should stay there forever, it's that lovely.
  21. Cast A Eddie is bigger, trust me, I see them back stage. Cast A has blonde Eddie, our first set is at 6, so take it from there. It isn't that I don't like being photographed (well, on a normal basis, I don't, I avoid it like the plague), but ALL of us would rather be scaring than posing. We are meant to scare, that's our job, and we are not required to pose for photos, and in fact, we aren't supposed to be real static and pose a lot, if you know what I mean. It is difficult to make this area scary, but we seem to do a fairly decent job.
  22. This house did indeed have a very creepy feeling to it, and the scareactors were right on, but there are way too many "dead" spots, pardon the pun; just long hallways or areas with nothing-no decoration, no booholes, nothing. This make the house just meh IMHO.
  23. This house rocks my world. I went through as soon as the house opened tonight, and got 4, count 'em, 4 scares, and I rarely get even one! WOW!!! Having seen the house on the UTH tour made me appreciate it even more. I ended up going through this house a total of 4 times today, 3 times right after opening, and once around 11 PM, and both casts are fantastic! You get my vote for HOTY. Oh, and congrats on HOTW guys.
  24. OK, so who were the two people in this house tonight who gave me shout-outs? Since you all wear masks, I had no idea, but it made the house extra special. This house was much better tonight than it was last night, when I went through at 5 to midnight. Good job, still not my favorite house, but what a difference it made when the cast wasn't tired.
  25. Can't agree with Jake more-money well spent, and I hope to do this again next year. Hallow'd Past is AMAZING, with all the details, props, etc. It was a real trip down memory lane.
