  1. The MG floats have been parked under the parade pavilion for the past few months. So I'm guessing they mean the rest of them.
  2. Common misconception about HHN... it has never really been about the scares. The event at its core is one big halloween party. It always has been & always will be. Its main objective is to entertain. Scares come second because not everyone is going to find the same thing scary. Just because it has "fright" or "horror" in the name, doesn't mean it is required to provide such. Over the years it has expanded to provide more "chills than thrills" (depending on the year), but again, since people differ, the event will always cater to "fun".
  3. If & when UNI is ever given the chance to create another "extreme" house, it WON'T be "Severe Fear" (hence the reason they showed it off). They already have new ideas for an extreme house when the opportunity presents itself.
  4. it is possible, however unlikely... the last IP house should be Penn & Teller... the gargoyle, mansion & unknown parade building houses will most likely be "original".
  5. ^weekdays, 4am on DisneyXD In regards to "Photograph", the house was never started/partially built. It was to be a replacement for AWIL, but was replaced by SH which had to be fast-tracked. But yes... if it indeed has become reality, UPT facade would be epic. Nothing will be known about scarezones until later this month when whatever scarezone themeing they do appears. Other than that, don't expect SZ info until the full website reveal & then whatever details leak out from rehearsals next month. First of all, the original Scareapy was in 2003. Secondly, 2006's Scareapy was the best Scareapy out of the 4. How you thought it was an insult to the cast (some of who had worked the original)/designers (you do realize that the same people who designed the original, designed all 3 sequel houses?) The house finally got a proper facade. And it had one of the most successful (yet simple) effects- a blackout every 15 minutes. You'd hear Jack's "pop goes the weasel" song and then the entire asylum would "power down" into blackness which would send the scareactors into a frenzy. If you were lucky enough to witness the blackout when entering the soundstage, you'd see that the lighted windows of the facade also went out. 2006's house had the balance of scares & comedy. Something 2007 & 2010's Scareapy lacked.
  6. Gargoyles aren't limited to cathedrals.... they can be on castles or buildings... most of us have seen the 90s Gargoyles animated series... which should be looked at if you're going to bring up Disney's Hunchback
  7. How have we been wrong about the previous houses? So far the houses have been just as we have said. He was making a joke to get a rise out of all of you. Next thing you know, someone is going to claim that Lady Luck will be back due to the Vegas sign. Sprung Tent 2 is "Penn & Teller".. can we get back to actual speculation now?
  8. Yes it would've been the 7th house... There were only 6 houses in 2003. As you can see in the event map above, nothing is labeled for that house location.
  9. No... the Barn is towards the end of the house. Scene 1 = Hospital Hallway Scene 4 = Rooftop
  10. well the hospital would make sense since Scene 1 = hospital hallway
  11. Yes. Silent Hill is located in SS22... I'm sure the "Welcome ot Silent Hill" sign will be there right when you enter the soundstage. Most likely surrounded by fog & ash... Honestly, this house would've been perfect for the Parade Building (B79) since there is the small field that is next to the queue line. They could've easily placed the sign there. and anything else scenic-wise.
  12. EDIT: Correction on the Sprung Tent 2 "Penn & Teller" facade location... I've been told that the facade/entrance is the same as last year's "Nevermore" house. The angle of the pics make it a little confusing since they were taken from two different locations. So expect to see the same exit as last year as well.
  13. HHN 2003 - "Extreme House" Location: Carnage Warehouse House Layout: Now keep in mind, all of this WAS actually going to happen. It had been given the "all clear". The house was almost completely built for the event, but was unfortunately scrapped at the last minute, but a lot of the sets/props from the house went on to be used in future houses/scarezones. Look at the 2003 event map, you can see that the Carnage Warehouse is shown, but not labeled. ^L = Hulk K = Dr Doom J = Spiderman -as you can see, the path to the Carnage Warehouse is shown as if you can access that area, even though the house isn't listed.
  14. So we've got speakers chained up that flank the Alice Cooper house... Bright orange barrel wall for P&T... with a Vegas sign, however the facade looks to be unfinished.. any ideas on what the facades will be for TWD or SH?
  15. No. The facade looks to be back in its original location as the first 5 (2006-2010) Sprung Tent 2 houses.
  16. Despite what people think... Eddie DID NOT get a house in 2006. A fat guy in what looks like a store-bought costume for HHN does not make it the character. (I'm sure the 2004 HNN version was crap too). Cindy was the original icon for 2010, but was scrapped once again at last minute. Both of those icons had more presence than Bloodengutz. Especially since they were known well before they made their physical appearance in 2010, however Cindy made hers in 2009 at the end of the event. The Storyteller was also created by marketing, which is why she was always different. She technically should not have ever existed.
  17. Universal knows a lot of things, but at the same time they dont. There have been many immensely popular characters that have yet to see the light of day since their initial event appearance. Bloodengutz was not that big of a deal. The character was only physically seen in the first scene. The rest of his appearances were segments of the queue video, which were easily missed. And for the record... Jack was played by the same actor every year, minus 2001 (due to other HHN related commitments that year). The role was shared for the 2007 Carnival of Carnage stage show & it was noticeable which was the real one, since the other sounded like Beetlejuice. 2010's Fear Revealed Jack did a great job, but was no Jack. The point is... Bloodengutz may have been entertaining in the queue video, but held very little presence within the house. Easily forgettable. Do not expect him to return.
  18. No. The house is rumored to be in 3D... therefore it would make sense for the walls of barrels to be painted a bright color to help make the entrance "pop". But a toxic theme? not going to happen... nor will it be zombie, deformed or melted related. The ONLY in house zombies will be found in TWD house over in Disaster. The house facade pictured on Screamscape is for Penn & Teller. You forgot 2003's "Toxic City" scarezone... which would be a better example than 2009's "Containment"
  19. House announcements have included: SH = promo nurse image TWD = concept art, partial scene walk-through AC = facade & two scene concept art All three have been announced with a video, AC came with two videos. Thats pretty good for only 3 houses announced.
  20. BloodenGutz will not be the icon, nor will he return. The actor who played him in the queue video does not work for the company anymore. And if the event feels like the 1990s, then there is no need for there to be an icon, nor is does there need to be an "overall" theme. There has been a site update each week for the house announcements. Hell, last week we were provided concept art.
  21. Anything scarezone related usually appears near the sprung tents, but seeing as they won't be starting street construction for at least another three weeks I wouldn't expect to see anything. Then of course you have the whole issue of there not being normal fully themed scarezones this year (except for at least Central Park). The only house that isn't "finished" is the one located in B79 (parade building), but it is unlikely you will see anything for it since it is in a backstage area tucked away from the in-park public viewing areas.
  22. ^I was saying this the other day, don't remember who with... but I think it would a nice hilarious inside joke from A&D to have Lady Luck doing cameos in the house, but as the victim. I personally liked her as an icon (just not her "scary" side, that was crap). But it would be amusing to see her getting sawed in half, stabbing, slicing & whatever other "tricks" P&T might do. But we have to remember this house is "rumored" to be in 3D, so its hard to determine what type of illusion approach we will see. However... this is best suited for the speculation thread rather than in here...
  23. The curbs are a tripping hazard during regular park hours... so that doesn't mean much. As for thick fog, they'd done it before and can do it again. The thickness of fog really depends on the weather. Some nights the fog would be pretty thick in scarezones, other nights it would be minimal until the machines spit out more into the area. So no need for a canopy to trap it..
  24. Thats what some have speculated about the barrels... they've said that they could be a stack of poker chips or something.
  25. The only set detail "Horror Comes Home" had were the banners representing the previous 15 years hanging on the light poles. I believe there may have been a fog machine or two as well. 2007's NY carnie area didn't really have any set design either except for flags & whatnot on a light pole or two. Then you had the one carnie driving around in his demented bumper car. 2008 had the zombie drill team over by MIB, no fog only scareactors. 2010 had the chainsaw drill team over by Twister/Macys. no fog, only chainsaws. While the house will help promote the new movie sequel, the house announcement video flat out says "For the first time ever, Universal will be bringing the videogame SH to life". They specifically said videogame rather than movie. They had "falling ash" in the Acid Assault scarezone last year over by the entrance of Twister. So it is very possible. ^explain please. What would be in the middle of the street?
