  1. I finally found the last dance song played in Academy of Fear: House of Fear. It's called "Where's Your Head At (Team Bayside High & Willy Joy Bootleg) Remix" by Basement Jaxx. With this, the main show soundtrack listing for Academy of Villains is complete! As for the music in Texas Chainsaw Massacre music, I could only find the song playing the facade of the house: "Opening Titles" - Wayne Bell and Tobe Hooper - The Texas Chainsaw Massacre (Unofficial) Soundtrack Maybe it's just my phone, but neither Shazam nor Soundhound was able to pick up anything inside the house, probably due to how extremely obscure the original 1974 soundtrack is. I'll try to record the music inside and play it by ear so I can post it up on here.
  2. Hmmm well I got 11 Ghosts in the zone right before closing time so maybe it was a last minute add? I'll come back next week and check again just in case.
  3. Okay, so after double-checking and cross referencing and many Shazams later tonight, it turns out it wasn't 20 Ghosts III, rather it was 11 Ghosts II. Also to be fair, whenever I tried to archive almost any song from Nine Inch Nail's Ghost Album, it would give me the wrong song from the album. As for where I Shazamed last time, it was right under the speaker in front of Louie's Itailian Restaurant, but I'll try where you guys recorded next time and see if that works better for me. Lastly, Parkwide: Rooftop - Tomandandy - Resident Evil: Afterlife (OST) [Deluxe Version] The facade in front of Tomb of the Ancients: Suite from "There will be Blood": 5. Proven Lands - Copenhagen Phil - Bryce Dessner: St. Carolyn By The Sea / Jonny Greenwood: Suite From: "There Will Be Blood" The Pre-Show Music from Academy of Villains: Radioactive - Imagine Dragons - Night Visions Desire - Meg Myers - Sorry Fully Alive - Flyleaf - Flyleaf Album All Around Me - Flyleaf - Flyleaf Album Dopeness - Tha Trickaz, Creaky Jackals - Dopeness - Single Album Caleb Mak - Tha Joker Feat. B-Eazy - Caleb Mak Album (I think there's more, I just couldn't record the rest.) Main Show music (In order): Clint Eastwood - Gorillaz - Gorillaz Album No Gravity - Party Thieves and The Lazy Boyz - No Gravity Local Forecast - Elevator - Kevin Macleod - Disco Ultralounge (The waiting room type music you hear for the Dream Machine Prepping) Pony - Ginuwine - Ginuwine... The Bachelor (Otherwise known as the Magic Mike song played in the sexy dream sequence) Bring Me To Life - Evanescence - Fallen (Played in the shadow dance sequence) Crazy - Gnarls Barkley - St. Elsewhere Dance, Dance - Fall Out Boy - From Under The Cork Tree Smells Like Teen Spirit - Nirvana - Nevermind Disturbed - Get Down With The Sickness (SubVibe Dubstep Remix) Bohemian Rhapsody - Queen - Greatest Hits Album Fired Up (Tropkillaz Remix) - LNY TNZ & Ruthless - Fired Up (feat. The Kemist) [Remixes] *As for the last song I wasn't able to find it at all so if anyone can that'd be awesome* For the bow out they play the last part of Bohemian Rhapsody again.
  4. Nope, I'm absolutely positive. Not only did Shazam tell me it was this, but I know this song by heart as I love hearing the Acid Assault soundtrack from Reaper's HHN 21 Mix (Thanks again Reaper for your hard work). I kinda've Shazammed it to confirm. Not only did they play that tonight, but before closing they started playing other Nine Inch Nails Ghost tracks that were played in the Acid Assault SZ in 2011. Makes sense since both zones are similar in nature and setting. I didn't get a chance to record the rest but I'm back tomorrow so I'll do it then.
  5. Chance Scarezone: Vampire Dolls - Derek Fiechter - Night at the Carnival Survive or Die: 20 Ghosts III - Nine Inch Nails - Ghosts I-IV Album (I'm really happy they put this song in!)
  6. - At the Front of the Entrance/Park Wide I heard: Resurrection - Scott R. Morgan - Prototype 2 Official Soundtrack Werewolf Castle - Derek Fiechter - Halloween Night Ghost in the Mirror - Nox Arcana - Legion of Shadows Halloween Theme - John Carpenter Walking Dead Theme - Bear McCreary - At Chance Scarezone: • Goblin Clowns - Derek Fiechter - Strange Fusions EDIT: More from Parkwide Pumpkin King - Derek Fiechter - Creatures of Lore
  7. It looks exactly the same as last year with the exception of the posters and the HHN 26 logo. I'm not gonna lie, even I'm a tad bit disappointed, but not surprised. Still, I kinda wanted them to do a little something related to the theme of Chance and the theatre setting she has. Oh well, I hope they make up for it with how well the houses and scare zones look. I feel that they'll make up for it. I agree, but I always liked it whenever they spruced up the front with some decorations. It was like a really cool hook to get you excited for what's inside. The last few times they actually had something up in the front were in HHN's 22 & 23. I've gotten used to what they do with the front by now, but I really wish they could do something nice for the front entrance in the future. Maybe not go all out so they could save budget, but you know, just a little bit.
  8. To be fair, the Catacombs outdoor facade was crap, but it was a pretty good house (or so I'm told). So I could care less if the facade is just Michael Myers holding up a sign that says, "Hey this is all we could afford for an outdoor facade," as long as it looks good inside and it's pretty scary, then it's cool beans for me. Besides, I bet that most of the outdoor facades aren't even fully constructed yet. Hell, even today they're doing construction for Jimmy Fallon at where the line for Ghost Town is supposed to be! As for the front gate decorations, Rock the Universe is currrently taking its place. We all know that once RTU finishes, Universal goes into overdrive with these kind of things from facades to scarezones, so don't worry. By the time Employee Preview happens we'll (hopefully) have all the facades and decorations up.
  9. It's tiny little info like this that makes me smile a bit.
  10. You're probably right, but I feel like that's what would make it even more perfect! The contrast and juxtaposition of the slow and eerie song and the fast paced yet eeire vampires would give that mysterious and creepy vibe. Actually I don't know what I'm talking about, I'm just hoping for that song to be there haha.
  11. They've gotta play "Earth Angel" in this scarezone! I love the Back to the Future version it's got a nice and eerie sound to it.
  12. I actually find it amusing that this will be placed by Mel's since Vamp 1955, a scarezone about vampires at a school prom, will be right next to it. Because get it? ACADEMY of Villains? Vampire SCHOOL prom scare zone? heh heh..... I'll show myself out...
  13. It appears that Halloween 2 is going to be in the Parade Building. To be honest, when I heard all of the rumored houses, I felt this house would be perfect in the parade building. I expect (and hope) that the scenery will be really nice, creepy, and eerie!
  14. My guess is the Parade Building. EDIT: Seems I was right.
  15. You know, the new tent being put in the MIB Extended queue reminds me of the the tents put up in the Mummy queue and the JP Queue for HHN in Hollywood.
  16. I wouldn't believe so. The reason why HHN in 2001 had to change so much was because there was a nationwide reaction due to the tragic events that year, and since it was an unprecedented incident at the time, even more so. Not only that, but it also happened extremely near the time of HHN. As terrible as it is, it's not compared to the events of 2001 where everything has to be changed because of it.
  17. It happened a couple times in the early years of HHN, but the most evident one is with a great house called the S.S. Frightanic.
  18. With the reveal of Chance as well as the theme this year, I've gotta be honest with you guys: I feel.... kind of hopeful. Let me explain. Usually these past couple of years I've been excited, however it was only a shallow form of excitement. Don't get me wrong. I fully enjoyed the event, but I always felt there could've been something more. When Jack was revealed last, I was excited because it would be the first time I got to see an actual icon in the flesh since my first time going in 2011 (If you count Lady Luck). With each announcement last year, I was excited, but at the same time, not really, truly. Since 2014 (maybe even by the end of 2013), I felt that the cohesiveness of the event, the theme of the event, the thing that made me interested, attracted to the event in 2011 and 2012, was dying off. That from 2014 on, it would nothing but an incohesive mish-mash of houses and scarezones, with no connecting overall theme. Back then, even if you didn't know how in the hell each house or scarezone was connected in detail, you could just feel from the atmosphere itself how A&D painstakingly made each thing cohesive, made each thing connect with each other. I thought that would be over. However with this announcement, it was faint, but I felt something I thought was almost lost for this event: hopefulness. Don't mix it up with excitement. With excitement you pump your fist, jump up and down, cry, whatever for a bit, then you stop and get over it. Now, I'm anticipating this event and the lineup I've been hearing so far. I'm eager to see everything from Chance to the scarezones to the houses. Also, I could give a crap on whether or not you like the new icon or the houses or scarezones that come with her. I, for one, like Chance, her backstory, and theme that comes with it. Besides, I've been lurking and posting here long enough to know that, unless you have a damn good eye for predicting, there is a possibility for the least anticipated house/SZ/etc. becoming one of the top favorites (Walking Dead's an exception: It is what you'll think it'll be). Still, that's not even what I'm hopeful for. This announcement makes me hopeful for a year (as well as future years) that has a great cohesive, overall theme that we can feel through solely the atmosphere. I don't care if that theme is posted on the websites through games or whatever, because we all know that HHN website games and backstories are done. It doesn't even matter if there's an icon or not (although an icon does make a pretty great foundation for a cohesive theme). Halloween Horror Nights is a living, breathing event that changes with the generation and times (currently it's my generation). But I DON'T want the event to forget what breathes life into it with so much vitality. I want A&D to create the whole elaborate backstory and cohesive theme just for themselves, so it can be something they'll follow the year by. I'm beginning to be hopeful for that now. I'm starting to see that it'll happen slowly and slowly, but hopefully with this announcement of an icon and a theme, this could be a sign for a more cohesive and integrated Icon/IP/Original year in the future. Just had to finally speak what I've been thinking for the past 5 pages.
  19. Critical agrees with someone... ...Is that the Main Theme to the End of Days soundtrack I'm hearing?
  20. It's in the description of the video "Icon teaser" from Universal Orlando Resort. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=h062Rpc70tM
  21. Actually they put it back just now... and with a little more than just a date... (Crap got beaten to it :P)
  22. I open up this page only to find the most sarcastic enthusiasm toward the Walking Dead.... Damn I love this forum.
  23. Hey Legacy, quick question. Why is "Shall Not Be Named" called as such? Is it because any hint or other name given to that one would be so obvious that we could immediately guess it? Or is it just for the hell of it?
  24. I would have loved the house if they alternated between the asylum Alice was in to the 3-D covered world of hers. That way the general feel of the house would be grisly, disorienting, and disturbing. I completely agree about the costumes too. The moment I saw Tweedle Dee and Tweedle Dum in that Christmas light room I almost laughed because they looked childish. It was the kind of house that had a great potential with it's material, and it would've been even greater had they executed the house differently.
  25. I noticed here that while there are many topics of top houses and scare zones, ironically, there is not one about a favorite year list (I'm sure I'd find one if I searched deep enough.) That's why I'm creating this list to have everyone - from the veterans to the new blood - answer this question: "Based on your experience, What's your top favorite years of Halloween Horror Nights?" The reason why I only want a few and not a giant list is because I want to know your reasons. Explain why. What was it about that particular year that captivated you? What makes that year, in your opinion, so much greater overall than the rest of the years you've gone? What feelings did that year give off to you and made you feel as well? and such. Also, don't talk about years you WISH you've gone, because you haven't experienced those years. What were those years of HHN that made you go "I want feel like did these years, every other year at HHN." Take your time thinking though. I hope you give it some thought. Now, fire away!
