  3. Opening rides doesn't do as much as you might think. Those rides don't get much traffic during normal park hours and they probably won't get much traffic during HHN hours. Opening diagon could potentially help ease the crowds, but it would also draw in more guests as well.
  4. Something needs to seriously be done to combat the crowds. More houses, zones, and shows are definitely needed. Even with express the lines are getting long. Average guests can only do a couple houses at this point.
  5. Ebay has a lot of good stuff. As for other places to get merch, I would suggest talking to other fans who have been going to the event for a long time. I don't have anything that I want to sell as of now, but I will let you know if I ever do.
  6. I would very much enjoy an IP dominant year. However, I don't see this happening. TWD is most likely going to come back again next year. The IP houses are what draws people to the event. Most of the guests aren't HHN nerds like us, so they don't really care about original houses. I asked T.J last year about the relevance of original houses now a days and he kind of brushed the question off. Not quite sure what that means, but I don't think that A&D is happy about the enormous loss of original content in the past few years. If they were to add a 9th house, then it could open up another slot for an original house. No other year will top the mix of original content (in my opinion) than 2008 and 2011. With it being the 25th next year, we can only hope that we get more originals.
  7. I've been wanting a Death Drums type street show to happen again, but I don't think it would be quite logical with all the street congestion there already is.
  8. Hell yea. Evil Wendigo witch for the win!
  9. If we had interactive games on the website and other small things like that, I feel that more people would know about the backstory to the house. I'm a history nerd, so I eat this house up! (Pun intended)
  10. As always. I love everyone's pictures. Keep them coming!
  11. Thanks Jeremy. Really like the nature witch thing.
  12. Ahhhh. It's a Wendigo! Haha I would be interested in buying a shirt!
  13. There are 2 in the moonshine shack. They aren't quite like the smoking zombies that people were expecting.
  14. I feel like they stressed the size of this house way too much. Yes, there are two rooms outside the stage. Nothing to freak out about. Several of the rooms were also lacking greatly. The room right after the candle room is so bland and plain. It's literally just a curtain and a table. There isn't even any props on the table or anywhere else in the room. I feel as though they should have made less rooms but better scares and a better design. It just seems like some of the rooms are thrown together. But overall, I think it's an okay house.
  15. I believe there is one burning walker in the house. The advertisements have burning walkers to appeal to guests.
  16. To be honest, this house isn't as bad as some people make it out to be. I know TWD has been used and abused, but if you are a fan of the show, then you will really enjoy the house. Even if you aren't a big fan of TWD, the scenic is cool and there are a lot of good scares.
  17. I know he says something about the Wendigo spirit, but I don't think he says that. I'll have to pay attention to exactly what he says next time through.
  18. I'm sitting in class and I just thought of something. The laughing in the crib room reminds me of Sloth from The Goonies.
  19. One of those scares is similar to what I have in my haunt this year.
  20. You see, the issue with making sure the actors are in their spots is that they would have to potentially stop the line or potentially add more staff to assist. If the actors want to take the initiative to make their house better, then that's all on them. Stopping the line causes for longer waits.
  21. I'm really liking your pictures Mark! Can't wait to see what else you snap throughout the event.
  22. Yea. Some of my favorite houses over the years have been my favorites because I got the chance go through them many times and see them progress throughout the event.
  23. For some reason I am just infatuated with Roanoke. I could go through it 10 times in one night.
  24. Try going through Roanoke multiple times a night if you have the opportunity.
