  1. I'd say for me my favorite scene was in saws and steam. The bit where the victim was face down and having their leg carved off. It was quite realistic I thought and looked good every time I went through it.
  2. Ok I'm going to keep this short and sweet. The quality of scareacting was superb on the whole this year and I guess it's a little unfair to single anyone out but I gotta give two shout outs as they stood out for me. First one goes to the scareactor in Nevermore who came out at me holding a severed Poe head. You got me good more than once even though I knew you were coming. Secondly to the actors playing H.R. BloodNgutz in the opening room. We always spoke to you when we visited your house and you never dissapointed in your responses. You played the role brilliantly and turned what was my my least anticipated house into a fun experience. Thanks to you all
  3. Does anyone know where the group photo taken in 7 on the last night of the event is going to be posted or has it been posted already?
  4. Great review and a lot more positive than some. Interesting to see opinions from both sides of an issue. Thanks and well done.
  5. Great review really enjoyed reading it. Starting to get a pretty good picture in my head about what to expect. Thanks!
  6. That was a clear, well thought out review and very enjoyable to read. I'm interested to see how my opinions will differ when I finally get to the event lol. Anyway I'm glad you decided to share your thoughts with us all, well done Teach!
  7. Hoping that your first night at this years HHN is as good as you wanted it to be. Have fun :)

  8. As much as i hate to say it i gotta agree. I was really hoping for more depth to the icon this year. I didn't think that Fear last year was fleshed out anywhere near enough but compared to Lady Luck he's got a background as long as my arm and i never thought i'd say that. I really wish Universal would go back to the type of three dimensional icons of the past like Bloody Mary, Caretaker and Jack etc instead of the shallow two dimensional icons of the last two years. I've said before that Lady Luck reminds me of a movie without a plot.....dull. I mean they couldn't even be bothered to give this years event a proper title. I don't understand this. After saying all that i'm sure it will have little effect on how much i enjoy the event this year. Universal do a fantastic job putting this event together and all the houses look fantastic this year. It's just a pity that they didn't bother putting the cherry on top of the cake with an interesting icon.
  9. Great review, very detailed. Thanks for your thoughts and descriptions.

    Review

Reviews are about opinions. Everyone has a different opinion and as long as it is honest, well thought out and constructive i don't think anyone should criticise it. It's rare that two people will ever have the same views of a house they see so lets keep that in mind and be supportive of those who take the time to post reviews for us. While i may not agree with everything i read when i experience the event for myself i appreciate reading other views. Thanks for putting in the effort.
  11. Same here I'll be constantly checking back to see your thoughts on the houses. It's really interesting to see how peoples opinions differ after seeing the same things. Well done cinema
  12. Hey Grime thanks for the early review. I won't criticise your review as it's your honest opinion of what you saw. No doubt my views will differ on some things but we all like different things right? It sucks I gotta wait til Oct 26th
  13. Well said Fallow condescension has no place on this forum, all members are equal and should be treated with respect even if their views differ. Amazingly I said almost exactly the same thing to the same someone yesterday after receiving the same attitude (worse actually) in a PM he sent me. Apparantly he thinks I'm too sensitive so you must be too. Who knew lol? Let's hope lessons have been learned and we don't have a repeat huh? On the subject of roofs i have a feeling that the new technologies they are implementing in the houses mean we'll be too distracted to notice no roofs much. Unless of coarse it starts snowing on our heads or something. I might look up then lol.
  14. Really? I know I keep mentioning this but surely all the similarities between Lady Elisabeth Hawthorn and Lady Elisabeth Luck cannot be a coincidence can they? Development teams usually steer clear of such similarities to avoid confusion to guests. Could they be one and the same after all?
  15. Things are looking impressive this year and I think were in for a treat. It occured to me that when they said were entering a new era of fear they wernt referring to icons but to a new approach to how they tackle houses and scarezones. I think were actually starting to see that with 3D projections and new technology and techniques they are using this year. They are raising the bar for sure.
  16. I saw your previous post but it doesn't mean that I think you are right
  17. The lanyard has Halloween Horror Nights 21 The House Always Wins so it's looking like that's the title of thus years event.
  18. Ok here's a question for you veterans of the event. When do they usually give this years event it's title. Last year was "20 Years of Fear, HHN 19 was "Ripped from the Silver Screen" etc but so far I dont think I've heard an official title for this one. Or have I missed something really obvious lol?
  19. Hey Dana. Nice to hear from you and you're welcome on my page anytime. Hope to catch up in chat soon :)

  20. Maybe the minion scareactors are past victims of Lady Luck. There has to be to her than just shackling people to a revolving wheel right? Maybe she turns them into undead, or maybe I'm just so desperate for a backstory for her that I'm making up my own lol. And what's with the bird?
  21. Ok this house looks amazing. The more I see and hear about this house makes me think that it may just be something that is remembered and talked about for years. As for it taking place at both the fort and the ship I think you're absolutely right. The backstory and picture on website seem to confirm this. If we as visitors have to travel to a sunken galleon wouldn't it be cool if we had to pass through a watery passage like we do in Poseidons Fury over at Islands of Adventure. I think this would cost too much to set up but it would be awesome
  22. After seeing those statues pictured in this scarezone I had a thought. Wouldn't this be the perfect place to have scareactors made up like those street performers who stand perfectly still like statues until someone walks past then jumps out at them. You know, the ones who's skin and costume are painted the same colour as stone etc. I think at night, well placed that would be very effective.
  23. This is awesome news. Thanks for sharing I'm really looking forward to this house. I think it could be something special. Im thinking the water effects won't get the floor wet as that would be a safety worry so now you got me wondering how they are using water. Can't wait.
  24. Is anyone else surprised that Lady Lucks scarezone "Your Luck Has Run Out" is currently the least popular zone with only 6 out of 98 votes? I wonder if this is a reflection on peoples opinion about this years icon or something else entirely? Any thoughts people?
  25. So were entering a demonic version of A-ha's music video for "Take On Me" now then lol?
