  1. La Llorona by a longshot. I was excited for it to come over here, and now seeing those teasers I have officially hit that excited mode. The only two houses that also have my attention are The Walking Dead and Havoc. Not too crazy at all about the storyline for Havoc, but the sets look like they are going to be fun. So I guess my list is: La Llorona, The Walking Dead, Havoc in that order.
  2. This house looks like it is going to be incredible. I really dont have a most anticipated list, but if I did, this one would be at the top.
  3. This was probably just the first night of construction setup. Lets wait until the rest of the park starts taking shape before we jump to conclusions. Also, I happen to run into a picture of a large deer prop with a huge gash in its neck on Instagram that said it was for Halloween Horror Nights. I'm thinking it was the prop manufacturer's account, because it was deleted when I went looking for it again last night. It might be under one of the tarps. So there's that..
  4. Yeah, I mean, if only Universal Orlando had a New York section of the park that they're putting a tank in or something...
  5. Alcohol as a cryptic clue? One can only dream of them taming the alcohol. This isnt directed at those of you who are responsible, but the amount of drunks wandering the park is most of the time a safety issue for the actors and other guests.
  6. Just went and downloaded a few of these. Thanks for taking the time to mix them and for putting them up!
  7. I saw a werewolf with a Chinese menu in his hand..

Is this why I always get hair in my food when I order Chinese?

  8. 'ey you lot! 'aven't seen a dragon, 'ave ya?

  9. The difference in reactions between announcements on the two coasts is night and day. Good for you for being excited for your event, Hollywood!

It has been an awesome event the past four years! But I have to get to Orlando as you folks inspired me to attend Hollywood's HHN with your history of being THE premier event.

  10. Ah right, comparing the houses that aren't even built yet at either park!
  11. Just because you aren't afraid of zombies, doesn't mean the thousands of people who walk in the gates aren't. Everyone's different. I am not at all afraid of clowns as you are, for example.
  12. This is very ignorant. I'm sure the scareactors on this forum will gladly disagree.
  13. There's plenty to work with. The original camp (they have the RV already), Morgan's zombie traps from season 3, the downed helicopter (I think it was confirmed Hollywood was getting this), any kind of forest scene can be done in Central Park, the gas station from the pilot, etc. I'm hoping that the barn is like the Skoolhouse where you can walk into it.
  14. Legacy, my reaction to your post: Holy crap did you hit the nail on the head. Well done. This is why I am so excited. At 6'1 and 20 years old, the actors in the streets never even look at me, so all I really want out of scarezones is some pretty sets to look at. While I am a huge fan of cemeteries and crypts, it just wasnt enough to do it for me last year. The least I expect for New York is a tank, some barricades and debris, and lots f fog.. I cant wait, its going to look awesome.
  15. I think you misunderstood me. If I had to pick, I prefer the original houses to the IPs. My 5 favorite houses happen to be originals. I was trying to come from the other side of the argument. Just trying to shed some logical light to the "HOW COULD THEY DO THIS!?" reactions.
  16. They've only revealed 3 things.. Expanding the Walking Dead doesn't do a thing? Have you looked at the response on AMC's Facebook page? Incredibly positive. The same goes for HHN's Facebook page, which is mostly positive with a few scattered complaints here and there. The attendance numbers will speak for themselves. Again, sorry you don't like the theme, but you're very wrong. IP's have been in the event since it began, so technically it is also in the "roots". Guess what? IP's and movies are what Universal Studios has been all about since the park opened.. "Ride the Movies" anyone? I don't really know what point you're trying to make by saying it goes against what Horror Nights "was".. If you're talking the scare tactics they use and the conga lines, then sorry, that is going to have to happen at the nation's largest Halloween event at the 16th most visited park worldwide in 2012 (IOA was #10, both were in the top 7 in the country). The park has and will continue to grow and learn to deal with higher crowds than ever before, and the event will grow and learn to grow as well. Those ball pit slides and houses where you wear light up helmets are gone and won't ever be coming back, so forget about the past. They still do cater to the fans. Who do you think last year's Horror Unearthed was for? The fans, who complained to high heavens about there being no interactive games. They still offer things like the Unmasking tour as well. They could EASILY say "screw the fans, we know they'll come anyway" but they don't. Selling out is always a good thing. I want to see the event and the parks do well. Would you rather the event bombed this year? That would not be good for anybody. Whether people like it or not, this is a business, it will always be a business first, and thats the way it should be.
  17. With all due respect, I hope you passed that class because Universal is doing the correct thing business wise by doing the exact opposite of what you posted. Hmm.. give the fans (a very small percent of the attendance and income) what they want or build on what caused the event to sell out for the first time in years? They made the obvious choice in not only bringing back Walking Dead but by expanding on it. You say people are looking for thrills, but comparing Howl O Scream's attendance to HHN's last year proves otherwise. I'm sorry that you don't like the theme, and that is perfectly fine, but trying to argue against the business aspect is beyond silly.
  18. I really like the sounds of this: http://blog.zap2it.com/pop2it/2013/07/the-walking-dead-season-3-coming-to-universal-halloween-horror-nights.html
  19. Color me excited for this new street experience. Anything is better than last year's awful streets.

I'm excited to see what they'll do with it and I'm not even a Walking Dead fan... "Fans" of HHN have absolutely no faith in A&D

  21. This house will be very good but nobody will ever admit to it. The prison is going to be intense and the settings they will use will help set up some really great scares. I thought the "problem" with the house last year was that the settings from season one and two just weren't house material. Parade building.
  22. Wow, lots of complaining before a single set piece even appears in the park, let alone the gates actually open.. I for one can't wait to see the tank, Herschel's barn, highway of cars, etc. out in the park. Sign me up as the one guy who will enjoy this. Also, in response to the "lack of originality/icon/backstory/creative team doesnt care about the fans" stuff that is on here occasionally and on Facebook alot right now: Everyone hated Lady Luck and many hated Fear. Maybe creative does listen to you, heard the backlash of these two icons/backstorys, and figured "why bother?".
  23. Don't you ever say an unkind word about the Time!

  24. I know it was technically a 2012 movie, I think a Cabin in the Woods theme/storyline would work really well for Bill and Ted. You can have the set be well.. a cabin in the woods and have the pop culture characters summoned by key words or by an object being touched. It could be a similar concept to 2008 with the crates around the stage. You can even have the NSA playing the part of the "director" in the movie.
  25. I don't care what anyone says, Elvira is still hot.
