  2. Looks like they removed "Walkers" from the Legions on the street page.. permanently or temporarily?
  3. This was how I felt about it too when I saw the rumor starting to get tossed around, mainly because I wasn't sure what "roaming" hordes meant. What I love about HHN and what makes it so special to me is not only the detail and immersion in the houses but the atmosphere, which the scarezones play a huge part of. I was kinda nervous about how just fog and lighting (with actors too obviously) would work but clearly that won't be the case with the site update and the scenery being set up in the park as we speak. Looks like there will be quite a few small mini-sets in the streets to help tie the particular Legion's world together which makes me very happy. It's different, yes, but I absolutely love the concept and cannot wait to see how it's executed.
  4. STREET EXPERIENCES As you make your way through the dark and sinister streets—beware. Someone is watching your every move. The Legions of Horror have ripped and clawed their way out of the ground from an ancient buried cemetery long kept secret. They’ll move silently throughout the night, never staying in one place too long. Don’t bother trying to avoid them. They WILL get you. THE INIQUITUS Rooted in evil these are the patrons of death, and were the first to rise from the cemetery. They’ve summoned the Dark Legions to join them in a night of carnage as they feast upon the living. THE LEGIONS OF HORROR DARK LEGIONS: VAMPIRES Summoned by The Iniquitus, the creatures of the night are here to quench their undying thirst. They lurk in the shadows, listening for fresh blood pulsing inside your living veins. DARK LEGIONS: BEASTS The Iniquitus have commanded these grotesque predators to hunt you down. Silently they’ll stalk you…all night long, until they have you surrounded and there’s nowhere left to hide. DARK LEGIONS: WARRIORS Slaughtered in a deadly battle, the Warriors have been brought back from the dead by The Iniquitus. Seeking their bloodthirsty revenge, they move under a cloak of darkness. So beware—that’s not a breeze on the back of your neck. DARK LEGIONS: PRISIONERS At a brutal women’s prison, fire scorched the inmates alive and the charred convicts were trapped between life and death—until now. The Iniquitus have released them and they’re going to kill everyone in their path. Their chainsaws are churning and they’re coming for you. DARK LEGIONS: TRADITIONALS These aren’t the fiends from your childhood books. These are the fears that creep inside your dreams. Brought forth by The Iniquitus, these ghosts and goblins have teeth—and they’re hungry. DARK LEGIONS: WALKERS So it's a hybrid I guess? Roaming hordes will roam their designated areas? I still feel pretty confident there will be sets as well. Give A&D/creative the Pulitzer, Nobel Peace, and the Heisman because this backstory is beyond genius if you ask me. The Prisoners will be a female Chainsaw Drill Team according to the press release.

  6. What JW was referring to in the post above, via Designing the Fear This scarezone looks like it has potential to have a very traditional autumn/harvest look and feel to it, which is what I LOVE, so this has me very excited! Bring on the hay and corn! Also there's lighting on the poles in Kid Zone, not "lightning". I know that confused alot of people in the chat, including me at first..
  7. I heard something along the lines of "you are not able to escape".
  8. There are actually people in this world that think Knoebel's in Pennsylvania is a better park than Islands of Adventure.

  17. Hmmm.. so clowns are the roaming scareactors? Does that seem just a little strange to anybody else? Doesn't zombies being the roaming horde with clowns getting their own zone makes a little more sense? I guess I gotta wait until the reveal to see how that all could tie in.

  20. The True Grits bit was funny, but definitely not the highlight of last year's show... That would belong to the Twilight Sucks song, Osama, and Conan and Nicki Minaj. Overall I thought the jokes were better than 2010's and I have faith with the show in new hands. (Not saying Aiello's version was bad, don't get me wrong..) I saw the Campaign last week and I can see that being used as part of what is probably the inevitable election jokes. What I haven't seen mentioned too often was the Dictator. The character is very Bill & Ted-friendly and his incident with Seacrest was viral enough that it could be used. This year was once again kind of slow in terms of pop culture, which sucks because that's not the writer''s fault. All's I know is that when I'm standing outside Fear Factor and I hear "IT'S GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO TIME!" my underpants will be drenched due to excitement (if they haven't been soiled already).
  21. Absolutely, I would hate a zone back there but that's the only way I could see a P&T scarezone making sense. Was just throwing the idea out there because of how easy it would be for them to reuse props from the past two years. It got crowded enough with the B&T show dump and the Jaws house and add in a scarezone and it's a nightmare... unless thats the theme they're going for.. can't wait for the Massive Clutster F of Crowds From the Dead scarezone! Realistically I don't think there will be a scarezone that far back unless it's a horde.
  22. As for scarezone speculation goes... is it possible to see a Welcome to New(kd) Las Vegas/Penn and Teller magic scarezone spinoff in Sting Alley? They could use the Saws n Steams traps and lots of the Your Luck Has Run Out themeing from last year. It is pretty far from the house though and wouldn't make sense unless they did it by MIB. I would hate to see what would essentially be a returning scarezone rebranded but it's a thought... With all these rumors of a Silent Hill and Walking Dead scarezone, Penn and Teller is one I can see being done as well. Not sure how one goes about pulling off an Alice Cooper scarezone though...
  23. Yes, there was a lot of themeing but it felt like it was all more pushed off to the side. I have not seen the parade myself, so I don't know if much of the AA stuff would've been in the way. I think the shack/newsstand could have stayed with a parade passing through. The cars by Twister and next to the bus could have been brought in. The rest of it was small stuff like barricades. The bus obviously could not, but I would expect that to be in the scarezone by Disaster if it's a Walking Dead tie in. I'm just throwing it out there not to dismiss it entirely, because this is for speculation after all. The props weren't what made AA great for me anyway, it was the lighting, fog, projectors, and scareactor energy that made it great. Sets or hordes, I would not be surprised either way.
  24. I still think we could maybe see a NY or Hollywood scarezone with sets similar to Acid Assault. The themeing outside of the maybe the news stand could be brought in after the park closes. It's not impossible. Something like 7 or Nightmaze obviously couldn't be brought in but an Acid Assault-type zone I can see still happening and wouldn't rule it out completely.
  25. First thing that came into my mind when I saw the announcement: VIVA LAS VEGAS! My first trip to Vegas and the whole city is a toxic wasteland! This has serious potential to be one of the best comedy houses of all time. MOM BOOK THE FLIGHT! If you want a good laugh, read the comments on the Facebook page. It's a good read.
