  1. Hey everybody, On the eve of the Team Member Preview, I figured I'd create a new thread as a home for all the great photos and videos that we'll soon start seeing. Please feel free to post your best photos from the event here! If you should happen to be a Flickr user, I have also created a new HHNXX Flickr group, to be found HERE. Feel free to join and add your photos, or just peruse other peoples' images. Thanks, and happy photographing!
  2. thinks it's pretty awesome that the HHN Countdown Timer is down to single-digit-days!

  3. is psyched to start seeing Halloween stuff in Target.

      Niceness, indeed.

  4. I've recently become infatuated with Tilt-Shift photos and videos. Whether it's through lens selection or software means, the Tilt-Shift process basically makes lifesize objects look as through they're miniature. is an example from Disney. I decided to take a few of my old HHN photos and see if I could apply a Tilt-Shift process to them in Photoshop, just to see if I could achieve similar results. Some of them are more succesful than others, but I think, overall, the results are kinda cool. Hope you enjoy! The entire gallery can be found HERE.
  5. is dusting off the old DSLR and refreshing his photography skills.

  6. Great shots, guys! Personally, I think 2008 was my favorite year for photos. Then again, it's great to see shots from the earlier years, too. I wish I'd had a digital camera and been more involved when it was at IOA. Demon Cantina is my all-time favorite, so it's great to see pics of the facade (and anything else from that house). Keep posting your favorites!
  7. Hey folks, In honor of this year's 20th Anniversary of Halloween Horror Nights, I went back through some of my old digital photos. I figured I'd upload some of the good ones from past years' HHN events. I've put up my photos ranging back to HHN 15 (I know, it's not THAT far back), but I'm sure many of you have photos that are much older. There aren't a ton of these, and the quality is much lower than the pictures I take these days (blame my little POS PAS camera), but I wanted to share my photos with you all. If you should have any of your own that you'd like to post, please do so! Thanks, and I hope you enjoy these! HHN 15: Tales of Terror HHN 16: Sweet 16 HHN 17: Carnival of Carnage
  8. just uploaded a bunch of old HHN 16 and 17 photos to his Flickr page. Check 'em out if you're interested.

Just to let you know I love looking at your Flickr page full of great HHN photos! Good chance that one of your photos is my wallpaper a lot of the time! Love 'em!

  9. I've got it, too. Dug it out while looking for maps today. I'll try to scan it and get it online ASAP.
  10. For those of you who weren't at the 2008 event, I've got some photos of the "Device" on my HHN 18 ARG Flickr page. Specifically: HERE, HERE, HERE, and to a lesser extent, HERE.
  11. Not necessarily. A lot of stuff from prior years was set in Wyandot County. This is the first time we've heard of a family with that name, though (correct me if I'm wrong).
  12. The site has flipped! Go check it out!
  13. Roddy is gone, everybody. Move on with your lives.
  14. is pretty psyched about the trailer for the new AMC "Walking Dead" series.

  15. It's not a question of "applying" for a position, as it all hinges on your ability to attend the event. If you are able to investigate in-person at the event, you can act as a CFO (i.e. Field Agent). If, however, you are unable to attend the event, but still have computer (and internet) access, you can act as a CRO (i.e. Remote Agent). In the previous game, cooperation and real-time communication between the CROs and CFOs was of the utmost importance.
  16. I've got most of the clues and images on my 2008 Flickr site. There isn't any exposition or explanation to describe the sequence of the clues (or the game itself), but they're there regardless.
  17. New Facebook post: LegendaryTruth - The Collective (Official) Forensic analysis of photographic evidence discovered and referenced in redacted email has resulted in the search and discovery of additional digital files heretofore unknown. Final review of first photos will be completed over the weekend; release immediately upon authorization by Senior Staff. Additional digital files to follow same process. Ignatia Himmel, Esq. Senior Executive Counsel
  18. It's loading. Must be a big file, eh?

  19. For anyone who has been in contact with Ignatia Himmel (or any other LT staff member so far), would you mind posting screencaps of your back-and-forths? I'm still waiting on a friend request confirmation, but I'd love to read some of these responses. Thanks in advance!
  20. is basking in schadenfreude and watching Wipeout.

  21. Thanks a lot! I look forward to taking tons of pictures each year. HHN is practically the only reason why I have a camera!

  22. I think you've summed all of the facts up rather well, Dr. Jimmy. While I'm not sure which of your "Sides" I'm leaning towards more, it seems inevitable that we'll see the icons at some point. That much is implied by the hidden lantern pictures. I think, personally, I'd rather see what the HHN folks could pull off with a "New Era of Darkness" theme, but that could prove to be a little too ambitious, even for them. The Reunion theme just seems like rehashing old ideas.
  23. I don't really think the icons are all that marketable to anyone outside the most diehard HHN fans (i.e. those of us who frequent HNN). Yes, the icons are used each year as a marketing tool, but that's because it's easier to market a character's likeness than the "idea" of the event. An icon may have struck a chord with the casual fan (Jack springs to mind), but outside the month of October, what is the appeal to Joe Everyday Theme Park Consumer?
  24. Is that why the icons are on the lantern? Snuff out the light and you kill the old icons? Seems strange that the old terror-inducing icons would be associated with light in any way, especially as light is typically good and safe (as someone pointed out earlier). Somebody made a comment about what was INSIDE the lantern, too. Maybe the icons are simply shadow puppets of whatever it is that's inside. Does that make any sense?
