  1. I actually would be so down for a AHS Freakshow house. I thought both AHS houses were very strong and both are in my tops of all time. Although the AHS fever has died down and I don't see a reason why they would do just a specific season that was already included before....but for me personally I welcome the idea. As Twisty truly has become not just an AHS icon but a horror icon, even those who rank Freakshow as a weaker season can't deny Twisty's draw. Also I guess just personally since my fiance just started attending HHN at 27 and missed the first AHS house it would be an opportunity for him to see that season again. Idk...maybe it is better left in my memories because I loved American Werewolf in London but its revival really dampened my love for the house as its revival was less impressive (and the worst and meanest house attendants I have ever experienced in my history of attending the event)...and I guess its possible for AHS to return for 30 anyways with three new seasons or some other combo house.
  2. I legit forgot about this zone until you mentioned it. Great throw back!
  3. I guess I am a little confused on this whole "adult horror" debate. While some properties may not be as horror driven such as Stranger Things but basing it off of ratings and gore I don't think garner what is a good....or "adult"....I mean yea going with pure R rated horror then we wouldn't have gotten Poltergeist which is rated PG and I see no one using that in their arguments especially since that was almost everyone's number one this year. However on the flip side pure gore hound houses haven't always been well received...I know it is an original but Roanoke: Cannibal Colony is one that sticks out in my mind. Tons of carnage everywhere yet it didn't hit right with a majority of people. So basing it off blood amount I feel doesn't make sense. SAW too from 27, also didn't hit right with most people on this forum. Killer Klowns just falls under the comedy horror which I absolutely adore and I think is needed at the event, no it shouldn't be majority but I think is totally needed. So does "adult horror" just mean takes itself serious ly....? I mean I am not disagreeing, when the full line up was announced for 28 I kinda felt like nothing striked totally terror or fear in the line up...I just think it is worth diving into and isn't as black and white as R vs PG-13 or blood vs no blood. Hahaha posted at the same time but yes this is a good discussion topic
  4. Ha well I don't live in Orlando or LA so I have no real connection to the parks other than what is posted on here so I have no clue lol! But the speculation is always fun. But do we have a definite no that Universal and Disney won't play nice at all when it comes to any of the horror properties Disney has acquired? I sure understand not sharing the Horror Made Here properties, WB is trying to get their name in the game. But like others have said 29 would be a great year to revisit Alien with its 40th anniversary. But also yes to Haunting of Hill House as Universal hopefully gained a good relationship with Netflix and HHN with Stranger Things this past year. However I think what Poltergeist showed me this year is that there can always be a property I won't be expecting that can make an appearance....shoot Poltergeist was so far off my radar that I wasn't even thinking of it in speculation/fantasy lists it was just so out of my mind. So I am hopeful we can keep fun and interesting properties rolling in with minimal repeats each year. Repeats/revisits will happen I just don't want half of 28 in 29 again lol.
  5. Fair and true. I guess upon further reflection my point is that I just hope we don't recycle that many properties next year between Stranger Things 2, Happy Death Day, Killer Klowns, Chucky and whatever else could be re-used...the Purge? lol!!! It would just seem like a major rehash even though this year was amazing....ya know?
  6. Chucky was easily my least favorite part of last year....I still don't understand why people liked that zone and not Chance in Hell as it is basically the same thing. Anyways. People have talked about the complications of bringing either Chucky or Killer Klowns to house form so I am curious what they will do, however if they bring both to houses next year I'd kinda be let down as that seems like such a cop out and a trend I don't really want HHN to get in a habit of. I loved Trick 'r Treat and Killer Klowns was my favorite aspect of this year and would love to see them again....just like I said I just don't want it to become a habit... I don't know about Happy Death Day becoming its own house...and I loved the first movie (hopeful for the sequel) and thought the HDD part of Blumhouse was good this year. But I guess its the same thing I was complaining about Chucky in that it would feel very recycled from this year and I am not pushing it to come this year...but understand if it does more so than Chucky or Killer Klowns. But with the trailer 3 days out and on at least just the Universal YouTube video it has just about 2 million views it seems like the franchise is well on its way to being a headliner and certainly within time should be considered from Blumhouse a top tier property like Insidious and Purge.
  7. I’m not worried about it at this time I’m sure he is just doing his duty to be caught up with the program since he needs to be on top of the latest horror and since the property is of Universal interest, even if not coming back to HHN, he just needs to stay on it. So I wouldn’t be concerned. Either way if its just a house and not an overall theme that’s fine, we can handle that like 25 and 26 just as long as we never have to deal with an experience like 23 ever again.
  8. Has anyone been to mid-summer scream convention in LA before? I haven't been and thinking about it this year. Thoughts? Tips and tricks?
  9. Ah before my time. My first was Bloody Mary. So I have only have the three incarnations. I have enjoyed each but hate for it to reach TWD or the Purge status, although I don't think it will get there it will have breaks inbetween hopefully lol
  10. While I absolutely loved Halloween 4 this year, one of my top houses, I really hope there is no Halloween at 29...it needs a break inbetween years at the very least hahaha!!!!
  11. I’ve been 10/25, 10/26 and 10/28. 10/28 was easily my best night in terms of staffing in houses. The other two nights a lot of the houses felt empty. I hope my last three nights the staffing is better. Any reason for empty houses? Just staff calling out? Quiting?
  12. I obviously have no clue but would be surprised if they added the 4th after already adding the 30th, two add on days in the same week seems unusual to me or at least not announcing them at the same time.
  13. What are the average wait times for Express lines? Either way all the reports make is sound like I am more thrilled than ever to have an express pass this year, won't be there till next week.
  14. Opening scaremonies isn't worth it but to take advantage of the evening and get as many houses done as possible with a minimal wait time, absolutely worth it. Then you shouldn't have to worry so much about what you can do. It is a hustle but just attack the houses right away as soon as you get in and then you can have a more chill night when wait times start to peak Thanks for the info and welcome to the forum!!!
  15. Yea I think that is all we can go with until anyone says otherwise didn't hear of any FFP holders being denied entrance on the sold out night so should be clear if it happens again.
  16. Wow!!! I don't recall any other time in recent memory that HHN Orlando has been sold out. Curious so on "sold out" nights how does that affect FFP holders, is there a cap on how many can be let in? Or there is none? How does that work?
  17. Having a hard time waiting for my HHN vacation at the end of October with all these amazing reviews. What also is great is that the best to worst lists are all over the place with the exception of Blumhouse and Dead Exposure usually ending at the bottom, the variety of the lists I think shows how successful the lineup is this year and the only thing to make variances is just personal tastes and just luck of scare timing. So sounds like one of the best yet and can't wait to see myself! Only worrysome thing is the complaints about crowds being worse than usual but I am sure it isn't anything that I can't handle especially with Express, even if Express lines are running a bit longer right now it should still work out. But hope the Express lines do get under 30 mins.
  18. Welcome to the forums. Great review and first post
  19. The First Purge section looks like absolute garbage however the Happy Death Day part looks pretty good and legit and follows the story pretty well, was impressed with that. Should’ve just been a full on Happy Death Day house.
  20. After initial responses and some video footage my anticipation list has changed. However I won't be down till the last week I am now dying of anticipation as the reviews are so high. Now most to least anticipated list 1- Scary Tales 2- Poltergeist 3- Seeds of Extinction 4- Slaughter Sinema 5- Stranger Things 6- Halloween 4 7- Horrors of Blumhouse (only cause I like HDD and it seems like that part was done justice, however The First Purge looks like absolute garbage and it should've just been a full HDD house) 8- Trick r Treat (not bad looks but I think I expected to much from this and it fell short, kinda my problem with Krampus) 9- Dead Exposure 10- Carnival Graveyard
  21. They always seem abundant in Chucky merch too so I’m sure there will be plenty of that. I’m curious if the pumpkin logo shirt will also be our house shirt for the year
  22. I think we have another amazing year on our hands like last year, only thing I can say that I think is lacking is what other members have mentioned that none of the houses/properties are ones that strike fear into me...I am sure they will be scary, especially our originals but nothing initially makes me go OMG that'll be scary...it all seems approachable lol. Only minor note for line ups in the future. Although these days I am not really there for scares but just for fun and the details of the houses...ANYWAYS!!!! HOUSES: 1(Most anticipated) - Trick r Treat - I just think the team is particularly passionate about this property and feel there is no way this couldn't be amazing. It is super Halloween spirited and blends the camp, humor and scary...it will provide everything. 2 - Seeds of Extinction - I feel this can be the most "Scary" house this year and will be as close as we can get to the Last of Us house. I just think it will be a unique house such a different concept...and I think that is what excites me...fresh and new! 3 - Scary Tales: Deadly Ever After - Asylum in Wonderland 3D is one of my top 5 favorite houses and I wish this was a full on Path of the Wicked house BUT thats ok I think it'll be a lot of fun. 4 - Stranger Things - I really don't expect much "horror" in this house but I do expect a lot of money being dumped into this house to probably make it one of THE most immaculate houses ever 5 - Carnival Graveyard: Rust In Pieces - To be honest initially I was gonna place this on the bottom, fully thinking this was just Giggles n Gore v2.0 but with everyone clamoring for it saying it is gonna be amazing and there is more to it I will curve my enthusiasm ... also the preview pics do look exciting so the hype is starting to build. 6 - Halloween 4 - Granted I haven't seen Halloween 4 (yet) so maybe that is why I am excited but I found both versions of Halloween we have had to be amazing and I expect the same from this especially with Aiello's love for Halloween. I think judging a crappy sequel to a quality of a house isn't the way to go about this. Granted Michael has had repeated visits a little to close to each other for freshness sake but my fiance hasn't experienced a Halloween house yet at HHN, last year was his first year and I bet he will love it and that'll make me love it even more. 7 - Poltergeist - I am mixed on this one but will curve with optimism like Carnival Graveyard....I understand Poltergeist's importance in Horror history, it is a fun film, I like it...but I just don't know how it works as a HHN house ....but I am sure they can pull it off, I just don't know what is jumping at us...what is the scare? Doors slamming? Trees...? Guys dressed as skeletons...? I am really curious and excited...but nervous for an The Exorcist repeat, The Exorcist wasn't ...bad but it wasn't great either. Will see! This could easily jump to be one of my favorites but for now I have reservations first. 8 & 9 (TIE) - Dead Exposure & Slaughter Sinema - I think both will be great and I don't have any reason to not like them just they aren't on my forefront of houses to check off my list first. Not bad just not the one I'll be clamoring to see right away, no particular reason 10 - Horrors of Blumhouse - I am actually a fan of Happy Death Day, thought it was a fun movie in the vain of AHS: Coven and Scream Queens. But Horrors of Blumhouse was kinda the stinker of last year and even though I liked the properties last year like Insidious, big fan, it didn't save it from being not as good. And HDD isn't a strong enough property to save a house from The Purge .... didn't see The First Purge but from what I heard I didn't miss much. They better not just "Sinister" Happy Death Day and give it like two rooms and the rest of the house is recycled Purge stuff or else this will be even more a stinker than the original Horrors of Blumhouse. However I am thrilled we aren't getting Truth or Dare and Unfriended...since I am a fan of Happy Death Day I have some hope but not holding out much for it
  23. The only house I remember getting serious issues with the house attendants with was American Werewolf at 25, they literally would YELL and be rude and like getting in my face to hurry up. One walk through with one of my friends who has a disability in her legs who actually legit has to walk slow and has crutches was yelled at to hurry up...we complained to some house manager outside but was another issue that lead to AWIL 25 version being worse for me, and kinda stopped going to that house after so much abuse. But I do find that to be an exception, most attendants aren't to bad. If I get a wave to hurry up I just look around the room like I am over-stimulated and can't possibly walk any faster or heck even sometimes I just give the attendant a thumbs up and that is good enough to and don't change my pace lol. On some rare occasions house attendants can even be fun. I remember the house attendants of Asylum in Wonderland actually being cheerful and pretending to also be inmates in the asylum by dancing and etc.
