Sure last minute changes don't usually mean good results however I feel Us could be easy even when stripped to basics....tethered costumes, scissors, the owl from the boardwalk haunted house, play I got 5 on it, the friends getting killed with the Siri blaring and disco lights, a tv playing the hands across America....may not scream brilliance but a serviceable job should be accomplished without breaking a sweat

I honestly was more surprised Us wasn't a part of the initial rumored map, especially with it being number 3 of 2019 top grossing box office so far. I am super bummed that Tooth Fairy was the one that got the chop for Us (or whatever the unknown IP is), the Tooth Fairy concept I would've loved to see after Knott's did it but hopefully it is just shelved until next year or sometime soon. Regardless of if people liked Us or not it did very well financially and just people knowing about it and I do think it will translate well into a house I think it could be really good if done right.

Sad to hear that Tooth Fairy got the chop. Was looking forward to HHN's twist after enjoying it at Knott's. But if the story is anything other than Universal wanted more heavy hitter IPs, I would love to hear it. But I would be surprised if Blumhouse makes another round this year.... I mean it is a quick easy fill in especially if they use Happy Death Day 2U or some other things like that.... I would think US would be an easy fill in also and did much better at the box office than HDD2U

I agree but I guess only time will tell however the pricing for this year does not bode well for the future, I am sure it won't jump drastically to Legacy's pricing by next year but just steadily climb there over the next few years. It just was a shock this year since last year with AP discount I paid $407 per FFP+ Express and now this year it is $460, and I buy both my partner's and my own pass so not just a $50 increase but $100. If I was still single it probably wouldn't hurt as much as when I traveled to the event as single I didn't have as many responsibilities so it was whatever but now it hits a lot more buying for two especially the past couple of years traveling to the event as a couple lol.

If I lived in Orlando then I think it could be more worth it for the prices that Legacy is talking about. Well I guess here is my gripe/POV it is that I come down like the last week of the event and I buy a FFP+ to go 8 nights, still a great deal especially when comparing one night with Express prices however when the prices eventually reach the prices Legacy is talking about, bet it will get there in a couple years just steadily climbing, it’ll just be a tough pill for me trying to get the deal for about 8 nights or so.

And I guess that is what freaks me out as it is something that always seems teased on surveys and such and has been a topic of discussion every year but I never thought (or seen it discussed) that AP discounts would be on the chopping block. Now I am worried it actually could happen, the rationale of how much we, FFP, spend at the event is legit ... the amount I spend on drinks and merch every night is real profit their way so they would be foolish to remove it as if I had to paid nightly tickets I would be at the event severely less, only a couple of nights and that is far less money towards them....idk just it shows they aren't scared now to get more out of tickets now denying AP discounts and the ticket increase this year and just how popular the event is....idk just some scary food for thought for us regular goers lol.

So it looks like AP discounts only apply to Rush of Fear and Frequent Fear, not FFP+ or Ultimate nor Express add-on

Was able to log into AP site for HHN tickets yet it didn't show any discounts at this time.

Very interesting, just got off the phone with Universal and they said they aren't offering discounts off anything more than a FFP. I was asking about the Frequent Fear Plus w/ Express and after she had to talk to her supervisor she said there are no discounts for AP this year beyond the basic FFP, not including Express. She asked if I wanted to continue my purchase and I politely told her that I believe what her supervisor said is the most current information but APs have never been denied some sort of discount with the other types of FFPs so I will wait a minute and see what information is released to us in the next couple of days and if they figure out what they are doing with APs this year. But if it is true that APs don't receive any discount for any beyond the basic FFP that will be a major burn. I'll still go but I'll be sour for a minute, only because the discount for APs aren't THAT significant however every penny counts especially for us out of towners.

Annual Pass discounts and multi-night passes are currently down. Saw them available earlier, on lunch break at work was waiting until I got home to purchase, now they are all down. If I recall it seems to happen every year that AP discounts have initial troubleshooting but am surprised all multi-night passes are down

Maybe tomorrow for regular ticket purchases? .....or will it just be ticket option releases? lol

I don’t watch GOT so if I’m truly missing something then feel free to enlighten me but I for one am glad GOT isn’t coming to HHN. Yes that property is HUGE!!!! But it is not a horror property even if it has some gore and creepy creatures and designs. I mean we are already tip toeing with Stranger Things and Ghostbusters and add GOT on top of it? Would’ve been far to much for me. No one I know relates GOT to horror or thriller despite what it could contribute to a house. A medieval and fantasy based house is fine but not GOT. Sorry just my thoughts, I’m glad it didn’t come despite potential positives. Keep the “horror” in horror nights lol!!!! And not to take away from GOT’s epic scale would it have really been any bigger than when HHN got TWD, AHS and ST? Those are all also huge properties with amazing popularity.

But to those who are initially underwhelmed by the scarezones, there is plenty of detail missing and the story and such. So lets be optimistic and hope for the best and just try and broaden beyond singular words like "viking" and "plastic surgery" could be awesome!?

I am actually quiet excited for Vikings, a local haunt has a Viking section in it and it was a lot of fun. I think it’ll be something unique in that area instead of the usual wooded creatures even though I love them and the pumpkins in the trees, to see a new theme is nice

On Facebook someone commented “Rapture is that you?” and I don’t know why I didn’t think of this sooner! If this is HHN’s love letter and closest house we will ever get to a Bioshock house then my hype and love for this house is already through the roof.

Very interesting....not sure what I had envisioned during speculation but it wasn't this, just kept thinking they would re-create Knott's The Depths house. Not saying negatively just legit not what I had thought at all would be the story. This house feels like such a wild card to me, I am eager to see how it turns out I'm genuinely curious whats the end result! It sounds like a really cool concept and unique, very eager!

Also just re-watched a video on YouTube of HHN 26 scare zones, and I personally liked the Chance In Hell scarezone but remember it getting a lot of crap that year. Then made me ponder on 28 with Chucky and I hated that zone and thought his jokes were awful and yet that zone got a ton of praise. I would always bolt through that zone or avoid it altogether .... but in essence the two zones are the same.... it may just be pure aesthetics as I love Chance, and bought as much Chance merch as I could lol.... idk it is just something to ponder as why does one work and the other doesn't as the joke and pick on guests scare zone seems to be a trend at HHN right now. Even though Chance In Hell worked for me I think it would be great if that style of scare zone took a break for a couple years.

I am no insider and this forum is my only way of knowing. But do we really know for sure that “something is going on behind the scenes” it really could just be a slow period since we have the spec map as detailed as we have and they are just low on announcements and quiet with Hagrid’s about to open. I mean not trying to say you are wrong but it could just be possible that we are on hold until Hagrid’s? I think they can get one more announcement in before Hagrid’s but I imagine a lot of the focus is on that right now.

Yea super quiet on here....guess we are all just waiting for an announcement? Also the other tickets won't go on sale until after the BOGO sale ends on June 5. And no one has anything to speculate about scare zones so I guess here we are .... and wait
