  1. My first year was '08. I earned the money needed for the ticket all by myself. Since my mom is terrified of these kinds of things, I ended up going to the event with my bro, my mom's boyfriend, and his daughter while mom waited in the hotel. We got to do 5 houses (Dead Exposure- my first ever HHN haunted house. I remember wondering if all the houses were going to be that dark, Body collectors, Reflections of Fear, Creatures, and the Hallow) and I got to do all the scarezones except for Path of the Wicked (my first ever scarezone was Asylum in Wonderland, I remember being pretty on edge. The lighting effects they used really disoriented me and thus I felt extremely vulnerable. Not many scares in the zone though). That year is still one of my personal favs. I remember my favorite houses were Body Collectors and Creatures, and my favorite scarezone was The Skoolhouse. Unfortunately we left around midnight becuase my mom had set a curfew. Still was a fun night that I will never forget. I loved the atmosphere of the park, the copious amounts of fog (one of my favorite things is coming home from the event smelling like fog), and the neat lighting used in every zone. To me, it was like the best, most coolest halloween party I had ever attended. Needless to say, I was hooked from then on.
  2. SO glad to see so many people will be there on Opening night. We should pick a spot and a time to all meet, that would be AWESOME!!!!!
  3. I'm hoping the faces will come to life as we walk through.
  4. Yeah, I can't wait to experience this zone first hand. It's already beautiful during the day (had the pleasure of walking thru it on my last trip to USF) so i can't imagine how flippin awesome it's going to be at night (with the fog effects and snit!!!). Definitely my most anticipated scarezone!
  5. There is NO WAY I'm missing this house (actually, I don't want to miss ANY house this year, they all look SUPERB!)
  6. Sorry, but I had to butt in. I'm a native Floridian and I much prefer it to be cold than hot (you can always put more clothes on, you can never take more clothes off). In fact, I have to have my room chilly in order for me to be able to fall asleep. So ya, chalk up another one that LOVES the cold (doubt it will bother me much, besides, I always wear jeans to HHN).
  7. Of course the House always wins in HHN!!! Universal= The House. We fork over TONS of money for souviners, beer, tickets, express passes, etc. They get tons of our money, thus they win haha.
  8. I was there yesterday. The scarezones are lookin great, but still have some work to be done on them. The most surprising thing is that you could clearly see into parts of the rooms for HoH from the Disaster queue (colored lights, etc.). I did take some photos, but we'll probably never see them because Hulk got angry and stole my camera. When I got off it, it wasn't in my pocket any more, so I assume it must have fallen out.
  9. I think i kinda like the no facade idea. It's edgy and different. Can't wait to see how they pull it off
  10. I was waiting in line for Zombiegeddon when this woman behind me started throwing up everywhere (This went on for a while, the group she was with would just stand there and laugh at her). Eventually crew members came in to clean the mess she made (and was still making, she managed to hold it in until they left). I hoped they would escort her out of the line, but they failed to do so. I let her and her group go in front of me for Zombiegeddon (The last thing I needed was to have her throw up on me as I was walking thu the house) and the result was her and her group ended up holding up the line because she could barely walk. Worst experience I've had at HHN thus far.
  11. Well, Cleaver may have been a jokey house but it sure had its scary moments. In the chainsaw hallway (like, 2nd to last scene or so) you had to walk down a long hallway where they had these plastic strips either hanging down in front of you or next to you (almost like what you'd see in a factory/butc plant) all the way down the hallway. All you could hear were chainsaws and every now and then a guy with a chainsaw would pop out and scare you. Was pretty scary cuz you never knew when or where the chainsaws would attack. It was pretty hard to go down the whole hallway without me having a freak out.
  12. I agree, Plague Doctors would have to be creepiest character I can think of off the top of my head. Body Collectors were pretty creepy too.
  13. Ya, I'll probably buy one first thing and just throw it on right away. Wear it for however long I'm there.
  14. I like the idea of Nightingales during the witch trials. Would most definitely make an awesome haunted house.
  15. Can't wait to be tempted by the 7 deadly beauties when I go!!! (see what I did there?)
  16. hahaha, awesome!!!! great finger puppet, I'm sure the scareactors will LOVE him (you should name him little Poe...or maybe just Edgar). The walkthough vid looks twisted and amazing in all the right ways!!! I think I'm officially psyched for this house.
  17. I LOVE how we are going to be caught in an EPIC battle here (almost reminds me of Creatures in a weird way).
  18. OH GOD!!!! I THINK I JUST DIED!!!!! Man, ya...Acid Assualt is going to be LEGENDARY!!!!!! (also LOVE he look of the scareactors in here!!!) First I was like: and then I was like:
  19. I'm sure you'll have an awesome time!!!
  20. thats so neat!!!!!! Makes me appreciate you guys a little more now!!!! Can't wait till opening night! I've got one request for the forum, can we open up a Scareactor QnA thread? I'm sure I'm not the only one here with a bazillion questions for these talented peeps, and I don't see any sense in clogging up this thread with numerous questions. Thanks mucho much!!!
  21. Zombiegeddon would have to be my favorite with Cleaver coming in at 2nd place
