  1. Here is some speculation you can put to rest. C_D will be purchasing a FFP this year. So as many thought I was just venting I will not be a member of the HHN19 team, I will be a guest. I am happy with my decision and will not revert. To much drama being a scareactor. Seems that alot of the new scareactors are more on the Drama Queen side, many do not understand the art of the scare.

    BUT

Should my interview go well in the morning you can bet I will rock HOS this year.

Although It will suck not seeing you at HHN, I respect your decision and understand why you chose that way. HOS? hrm, never been.. we always talk about it though. We'll see what parenthood brings us at that time and plan it all out.

Anyways, I hope they don't add more houses and take away from the others. 8 is good. Unless UNI won powerball and has a bigger budget, keep HHN as is for now.

  2. Had some interesting table mates at lunch today. Look for construction to begin middle to the end of May. Oh and you can check out my table mates website HERE!

Cool beans but I herd from Nancy that construction might start in March :) Who knows but they are starting early this yr then in yrs past.. Basicly right after Mardi Gras is over.

Nice. If they do start after Mardi Gras, could that mean more houses? (See last survey), or maybe more detailed? Who knows.. could just be to work around all the construction that's going on. Either way, any HHN news is good. :)

  3. So those lobsters must have been scared shitless on the plane ride over haha. and waiting on your doorstop.

Sounds like some hassle to me. I think ill just stick to paying too much to eat them.

They are in somewhat of a shock state when you take them out of the package. It's not that bad once you try it.

  4. Wow, i wish i could pull off something like that, how hard was it? Or was it extremely simple! Whered you get the lobster from ? That interweb site? THey were dead im assuming :P

Oh and what was the cost :P

It's not hard at all, but I grew up around it living in New England. We boil them, as you can see.. you need a setup somewhat like the above due to the size of lobsters. If you go smaller you MIGHT be able to pull it off in a large pot on the stove. They come with directions, but its like 10 mins for the first pound + 3 mins each aditional pound.

The lobster actully comes from Bourne, MA, and you can order online at http://www.lobster-online.com or http://www.lobstertrap.com. As far as price, it varies depending on size of lobster, specials, etc. They have anywhere from 1 1/4 LB all the way up to 8 LB lobsters. They ship it overnight.

No, they are not dead.. it's not good to cook lobster that is dead, unless it's been a short time (like 1 day or less), if kept COLD. You just put them into the boiling water alive.

  5. This is a little late, but I finally edited down the pictures. This was Jenn and I's Christmas Eve Dinner, which consisted of two 4 LB lobsters and 2 pints of (Real) New England Clam Chowder (or Chowda, how it's said back up at home).

The pictures really don't do the lobster size justice, but here they are. It was YUMMY!

  6. Your DSLR money is going to diapers now mark.

No No. I have the excuse of - I need a better camera to take baby pictures and HHN. :)

To keep it on topic, either the Canon 50D or the Nikon D90. Debates.

  7. Thank you!

I just started using a DSLR during HHN last year, but since I haven't had a job since, oh, September, I've had plenty of time to practice. Practice definitely helps. I got Photoshop CS3 and Lightroom 2 for Christmas, and they have really helped the pictures look better after processing. I'm still getting all my network set up, but I'll share some more pictures later.

Awesome, always love to see your pictures. I can't wait to get my DSLR. Make sure you take pictures of the snow, when/if it snows there. I'm sure you can get some pretty landscape shots.

  8. Oh god they listen to the vaultheads saying they wanted Chance back cause she soooo coool... IMO she was a rip off of a famous character in the Batman Universe.

So could the Universal classic Movie monsters be Chance guest and NLC could be Jack's guest?

Oh I herd House construction is a go for a March start.

I won't say anything C_D. You know me. SO GLAD YOURE A LIVE BY THE WAY!

On a side note Charles, I very much know so that she's a rip off. I hated chance. She didn't appeal to me at all.

HATERS! :) As I liked the character, I do see your points. I also agree that 18 was up there with 12 and 13 for me personally. I think 19 should be original again.. 20 or 21 we all sorta knew something/one would be back.

  9. Not sure if it will be 19 or 20 but a wedding will be upon us in the next 2 haunt seasons. So all you Jack Lovers better get ready for the party, and all you Jack hatters just chill.

Yes our good friend Jack will be wed, not to the previously mentions Jill, But to every Male Horror Night fans delight Chance will be the Bride. Yes Jack and Chance will be tying the knot.

As I said it was unsure if it would be 19 or 20 but the invitations are already being planned.

First: OMG! It's Bryan.. long time no see, chat, talk, etc. A Welcome back?

As much as Jack has been overused and I really don't want to see him back anytime soon.. I just LOVE Chance, if Erin plays her.. she made that character awesome. If not well.. I'll have to judge at that time.

Should we mention Jack's brother? Wonder if he will be on the invite. It seems like it would be almost like a Sweet 16 type event.

  10. I've added 30 second sample's to the HHN 18 list, through Amazon.com. This is just to test out, and if all works good I will add them to the other lists. The songs that don't have a sample just means Amazon has no preview for them.

Just click on the little red "play" button next to the song, and open it with your favorite music player (it's a .m3u link). I use Winamp myself, but I'm sure Media Player and others alike will work also.

  11. The Halloween Horror Music Database, is online now. First I'd like to thank Dusty (Dkrfla) for compiling these lists, along with a number of others over at the Vault for there continued support of finding what is what.

If you have any additions, corrections, or other missing years feel free to talk about and post them here. This is the forum to discuss all HHN related music and themes.

Hope everyone enjoys this little addition.

  12. Since doing that survey a couple weeks ago that asked how many houses/scarezone's there should be, I was just wondering what everyone else thinks?

I say stay at 8 houses, and 8-9 scarezones. Technically there were 9 scarezone's this year if you add Dark Reflections, CDT and ZDT. So they could officially pull off 8 or 9 zones.

I'd like 3 shows, B&T, Main Stage, and RHPS or 360. No more, no less.

BUT really Universal needs to ask themselves, do we have the budget to make HHN bigger by adding more houses, zones, and shows. Can they staff that many? Every year we hear about something getting cut due to budget reasons, 17 showed that they couldn't even staff the streets which really made streets suck that year.

This year was great, everything seemed to flow nicely and all was staffed pretty good. 12 SZ's, I don't know.. if they can pull the staffing off without affecting something else, then maybe.

  13. For me it was included with another course i was taking but there was a fee. They'll probably have this tour again next year since it was a huge success. Keep an eye out on the IAAPA Expo here in Orlando during mid-november every year.

Awesome. Crazy to think they still had the houses setup, and then put some scareactors inside them. IAAPA won't be in Orlando in 2009. Great review.
