  1. Could be. I'll post the other 'codenames' over here and discuss my opinions on them. So far we have "Agana" and "Big Boy". We all know that Agana means Blood, so what could this be? First thought is Blood Mary, which would be OK if its placed in a SS or the Parade building. After last years bad placement for the Icon house, and the not so good feel to it, this could be a way to make the house as it should of been all along. Second thought is Dracula, which works with the "classic" word, and the previous rumored house lists that were floating around. However, the word Blood could mean ANYTHING as far as HHN is concerned. I prefer the first. Big Boy? First thought would be Frankenstein, which again goes with the whole "classic" thing. Second thought, Michael Myers? RZ's version, MM is "Big", and it would fit the latest news of UNI signing a deal for Halloween in Hollywood. I prefer the second. As you can tell, I'm not into the whole classic thing. I however wouldn't mind seeing them in one house , ANDI style. If a classic has his sole house, I'd prefer Wolfman to go along with the new movie. As always, this is pure speculation, nothing official. Credit to OutKastz for the above 'codenames'.
  2. Here is a article from Fangoria. It seems they talk more about it related to Hollywood, but I'm sure if UNI is paying licensing fees for Halloween, they will want to get there money's worth and put Michael Myers at both parks. --- Freddy & Jason out, Michael & Jigsaw in for Universal's HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS? Sunday, June 07, 2009 12:38 AM Credit: FANGORIA.com Back in February, SAW franchise producer Mark Burg told Haunted Attractions UK about plans to bring a little Jigsaw action to Universal's HALLOWEEN HORROR NIGHTS in Orlando and Hollywood. "This is very exciting – we have just signed a deal with Universal to bring Jigsaw and the world of SAW to Halloween Horror Nights this fall, both in Orlando and LA. I know in previous years they have had Freddy Kruger and Leatherface well this time Jigsaw gets to do his thing!" he told the mag. Now comes word that an upcoming FANGORIA coverboy may be joining the fold. Bloody-Disgusting reports that Universal did not renew their licensing agreement with New Line, so Freddy Krueger, Jason Voorhees, and Leatherface will not be joining their annual Halloween bash. Instead, Michael Myers from Rob Zombie's upcoming HALLOWEEN II (and the cover of FANGORIA #285) will join Jigsaw to torment theme park guests this season. Additionally, a third themed-maze is yet to be announced. The official site for the Orlando attraction is already open (and it includes a Fango quote on the homepage!), with tickets on-sale now. The Los Angeles site is currently under-construction, and can be viewed here.
  3. A true Halloween/Michale Myers house would be nice. I really don't care to see NLC this year, if they ever renew that they should wait till next here after the new Freddy comes out. If Orlando gets a Halloween house, that throws off the list's that have been going around. So I thought a little about the "Classic" thing.. maybe instead of all the "Classic" monsters having there own house, why not put them all in one (Silver Screams) which more than likely will be like ANDI.
  4. These are the options/ideas we had in one of last years survey's for those that never saw them or forgot. I believe the 2nd survey was the one about urban legends and which ones we heard of. ---- Halloween Horror Nights: SAW Jigsaw wants to play a game and his sights are set on YOU. This year, Horror Nights gets brutal as the maniacal puppet master takes over Universal Studios and brings the most deadly games imaginable. If it’s Halloween Horror Nights- it must be SAW! From the carnage-filled homecoming dance in Carrie, to the plague-ravaged wasteland of The Stand, to the mazelike hallways of The Shining’s Overlook Hotel, you’ll cross the line between fiction and fright as Universal Studios brings you nightmares and dreamscapes “From the Mind of Stephen King”. Halloween Horror Night's of the Living Dead Horror Nights will become overrun with zombie hordes as Universal Orlando marks the 40th anniversary of Night of the Living Dead. Teaming up with the film’s director and horror legend, George Romero- Universal Orlando will spread a brand new virus this Halloween. Halloween Horror Nights 18: Once Upon a Nightmare Behind every great man, there is a greater woman. But behind Jack the Clown, there is a nightmare beyond your wildest dreams. Bent on turning your happily ever after into a night of hellish hallucinations, Jill walks the line between trick or treat and you can’t help but follow.
  5. I don't think they should stop and pose the whole time they are out there, if you know someone like a friend or family, that's fine. I rather take pictures of SA's in action than just standing there doing nothing or posing. Well, in a way I'm glad you'll be working HHN.. your one of the best SA's at the event. Do you want Firecrew? I agree with Matt, if you audition early and there is a Frankenstein house, I'd bet your in it.
  6. The point here at HNN is this. If you say you have information, post it. If not, don't say that you do. With that said, let's get back on topic and speculate about Houses, Icons/Mascots and Scare Zones.
  7. The whole 'Mascot' vs. 'Icon' thing is something that is debatable, and basically is one's own interpretation of what the character should be called. Usher or Director? Usher and Director.. maybe? Would be like the Terra Queen and Storytellor. Who knows, we'll find out soon. Now that we have ideas about Houses and Icons/Mascots, anyone care to speculate what type of Scare Zones we'll have?
  8. Great post Jimmy, and great summery of what we know so far. Official information should be around the corner. so we'll see if any of this makes sense and comes to truth. If there is a ICON/Mascot. let's hope they put the house in a SS or the Parade building and not the Jaws Queue again.
  9. I attend for the atmosphere, have fun, and drink. <g> Also to hang out with people/friends that we only see one month out of the year. I never was the get scared type, although I do get one here and there IF there scareactor is really good.
  10. Nice find. Seems like Horror in Wax has a lot in common with the rumors for this year. Frankenstein, and an Usher, just to name a couple.
  11. Since it's a magazine about Horror stuff in general, I'm sure they could think of something. "30 Years of Horror", who knows. Here is the cover of the June issue which is the 30th Anniversary edition.
  12. That's why I've been posting all along that the list is pure speculation at this point and take it for what it's worth. It's cool to talk about it either way. IMO, I hope some houses would change, and a couple sound good.
  13. Here is the rest of the list that I received by various sources. As I always state, I have no solid information ANY of this is legit or correct as far as full house names. Take it has pure speculation. Doll = Chucky Squarehead = Frankenstein Hairy = Wolfman Magazine = Fangoria Screen = Silver Screams New = The Spawning or Leave it to Cleaver Blade = SAW Fangs = Dracula Why there are names listed for "new", I have no idea.. maybe there the same, just different names, maybe they have two options to use? We will soon find out I suppose.
  14. Hmm. What is this? Could it be... "Squarehead" and his Bride? From HHN 14, Horror in Wax.
  15. How is everyone doing figuring these out? Don't be afraid to post what you think, or came up with. I'll wait some more before I post what I have, to see what you guys come up with. Magazine is a tough one, I have no clue yet.
  16. This is it, minus the contact information. Even though I have no idea who it is, I still respect the privacy of others. ---- Hello. I have some information you might be interested in about this years Halloween Horror Nights. Eight houses and one icon. Doll, squarehead, hairy, magazine, screen, new, blade, fangs and usher.
  17. Yes, we have a thread for the Hollywood site in the HHN: Hollywood section.
  18. I also believe there will still be 8 houses, 2 in SS 23 which housed NOES and PS:HftH during HHN17 and was just the queue line building last year. As far as the JAWS queue, it does have it bad points. Depending on costume design and theme, it can be HOT for the Scareactors. It's not that great when walking through it during daylight times, and it gets really congested when B&T starts and lets out, specially if they use the same setup as last year where you have to walk around the bathrooms.
  19. It has officially started. Here are the building permits listed as "review" submitted today.
  20. Well, were getting closer. Reminder TXT messages are starting to go out, and by replying "UNIVERSAL" keeps you signed up for updates (5 per week so they say). This will include HHN TXT messages as well. Not sure if this works for those that didn't get the message, but you could always try sending a TXT to 64646 with the message UNIVERSAL and see what happens. Lets us know if it works or not.
  21. SAW and Wolf Man I can see, but Chucky? MAYBE use Chucky for something when the remake is released, but for HHN's sake PLEASE do not waste a house on anything Chucky/Child's play related. The Insult Emporium that they used at Hollywood may be ok, but that is as far as I would like it to go. This maybe the 'off' year that we all anticipate.
  22. Talk of a Halloween Horror Nights "Coffee Table" Book has come up again with the 20th Anniversary of HHN upon us next year. If we start some mature discussion of what we would like to see in such a book, maybe the Universal higher-ups will let A&D create such a collectible. I'd love it to include the history of HHN 1-19, with some inclusion of 20.. from thr fisrt "thoughts and concepts" of creating Fright Nights, and then involving to what we know it has today, Halloween Horror Nights. Inclusions of Concept Art, Blueprints, Set Design, Behind the Scenes pictures, etc. How they came up with the idea for an "Icon" and the creation of them. Even a DVD/BluRay to go along with the book would be awesome, with footage from the shows (B&T, Main Stage, RHPS, etc), House and SZ footage. Planning of the Webpage design, and interviews with the A&D team, former and current. A 20th Anniversary Documentary so to speak. What would you like to see?

  24. I really hope they bring it back. It's a good way for the fans to see the detail they put into the houses, and enjoy some one on one with the A&D Team. Sure beats the whole LT thing.
  25. For those that haven't seen any video footage of the SAW Attraction in California, here is one from DreadCentral along with the teaser trailer it had. Teaser Trailer SAW Walkthrough
