  1. Unlocked this thread for two reasons. 1: For any RIP Tour Discussions. 2: Talk about previous and/or possible future UTH Tours. (Show them we want it back!)
  2. Here are more construction pictures. Credit: Orlando United And then there is this, which resembles the door above. ^ Taken from the Muppet Wiki, which you can read here: http://muppet.wikia.com/wiki/Wilson%27s_Pet_Store
  3. Official HHN 2009 Text Messages begin. Received my opt in text about an hour ago, like last year it says expect 1-3 messages per week.

  5. Some more info that most of us knew about/heard. Credit: Screamscape (8/7/09) First off, we’ve heard a few interesting rumors about The Spawning haunt in Sprung #2. It seems that some props used for The Fly segments at the Horror Make Up show may be put to use here, though the overall theme of this area may actually be a trip down into a dark nasty sewer. Silver Screams also may be a trip through horror films “greatest hits” as we’ve heard a little something about a Phantom of the Opera section. I’ve also got some hot tips on possible Scare Zone themes and locations. A little something called Army of Darkness is possibly set for the New York area, and I can only hope that it may have something to do with the film. A “Cirque De Freak” theme may be used near the KidsZone area. Finally we have another confirmation about a scary movie theater Usher character to be used as the Icon for the year. I don’t know if they have made a final casting call for who gets to play the character, but it was described to me as putting a modern day extreme Emo kid in a Tower or Terror Bellhop looking outfit. As for the website, no new updates, but it seems the three haunt theme clues given so far hint at Chucky (Insane) , The Spawning (Missing) and Leave It To Cleaver (Severed).
  6. That's awesome, and I just posted the latest video of him on my personal and HNN's Facebook pages. [ythq]Y0BGw_px7lY[/ythq]
  7. Here is what SS had to say about some of the houses, not much that we haven't heard or seen. -- Credit: Screamscape (8/6/09) The Parade Building maze (codename: Flashlight) will indeed be themed as the haunted Universal Palace Theater and possibly use the name Silver Screams. Meanwhile the Disaster queue area (codename: Plea Sant Vielle) will indeed be given a quiet small neighborhood theme with various storefronts, and I’m betting a butcher shop may also be a big part of this. I’ve also heard that Fangoria is involved here in some fashion, possibly with the design, and the rumored name for this haunt is: Fangoria Presents: Leave It To Cleaver. Fangoria isn’t done there though, as they are also rumored to be involved with our last unknown maze in Sprung Two entitled, Fangoria Presents: The Spawning.
  8. For those that want an easier way to check updates without having the page loaded and refreshing all the time, NickC created a great script to check the site for you. Here is the link to this handy little tool. http://www.horrornights.be/updatecheck.php
  9. This week will be the 2nd round of AGT, they will be in Vegas. I think now, it's up to America to vote, so everyone support your local Magician and some HHN alumni.
  10. Where are all the people's comment's that voted no?
  11. Nice, love the radio ad under the severed incident. At least now were getting some sort of a storyline.
  12. This is one of the biggest debates that seem to pop up every year. With the latest round of 'behind the scenes' construction pictures and videos making there way around the internet now, and sites such as CSW and HNN now banning any such links to pictures and videos of Restricted Areas I figured it's time to take it to the members. I'd like to hear everyone's opinion on this issue. HOWEVER, please keep this mature and respectful, there will be no member bashing. It is safe to debate back and forth if you have a clear point to make, but again.. do it in a mature manner. If it gets out of hand, the thread will be locked.
  13. RHPS & Whats going on in Kid Zone/Parade Building? Credit: Screamscape (7/20/09) According to Universal’s casting website we can now confirm that HHN will feature the Rocky Horror Picture Show Tribute show once again this year. They will be holding auditions on July 25th. Word is also going around the rumor mill that in keeping with the movie theme this year, we may be Shaun of the Dead come to life in some fashion, but in the park and not in the Bill & Ted show. According to one blog it will be used as the theme of a new Scare Zone, but I’ve also heard that they are somehow connected with whatever Haunt is being set up in the Parade building. This is the link to the blog in the article. http://poparitaville.blogspot.com/2009/07/...zombies-at.html On an interesting note, according to some sources, some "Shaun"'s have been cast for the house in the Parade Building. There is a "Shaun" chracter in the Drag Me To Hell movie, a female (young and old). However, the ones being cast are male.
  14. This thread was closed for a little while as we cleaned it up of all construction pictures that were taken by sneaking into restricted areas. It seems this is getting out of control with people now taking pictures inside the Sound Stages, so as of now HNN will not condone Pictures and/or Videos from restricted parts of the park. PLEASE if you want to post Pictures and or Video of construction, make sure its from Guest Accessible areas.
  15. Here is the 2009 Halloween Horror Nights Commercial Shoot Timeline.
  16. Rat Lady will be back in the Kid Zone area.
  17. Here is some casting speculation for you that has been floating around. Tent - Child's Plaything Tent - Soldier SS22 - Inmate House location speculation has the following locations. SAW - JAWS Queue Chucky - Sprung Tent The Wolfman - Sound Stage Icon House/Silver Screams? - Disaster Queue? Feel free to add, and speculate.
  18. Awesome update, can't wait to see where this goes.
  19. Posted the link in the construction thread. I'm kind of disappointed that the JAWS Queue will be used for SAW, as I think a Sound Stage would of worked nicely with the sets they could of built. As long as it turns out better than Reflections of Fear, I'll be happy.
  20. From things I've been hearing/reading, we'll have Scare Zones in NYC, Mel's Drive In, and Kid Zone. Can anyone confirm more areas?
  21. The HHN Music Database has been moved to the Main Site @ http://www.horrornightnightmares.com. You can discuss it here still.
  22. I think The Strangers would fit in with the 'Movie' theme and seeing that it was already used at HHN Holywood last year, it wouldn't take much to get it to Orlando.
  23. Not sure what to think of this, as the CDT has been a part of every HHN we've been too in some capacity. CDT was awesome at HHN 17, and sorry to say.. sucked last year. They were in one of the worst parts of the parks, and really had no good hiding spots. Putting them back in front of Disaster would be nice, and let them roam around at the Stay & Scream Area(s) again. BUT.. if they go, and we get another good "themed" SZ, then I'll go for that.
  24. Before I start, my message contains speculation about a certain Icon some don't like to hear about. However, I feel were a more mature group than that here and can talk about him freely. After looking at this I find an odd resemblance to Eddie, the outfit and a mask. I know this is probably unlikely, but seeing that Eddie (Sawyer) was/is a Horror Movie Fan, could he fit in as the Icon? I'll go back to a question that was asked on our UTH Tour in 2007 about Eddie ever getting his due. The reply from A&D was basically "never say never" and "it's possible down the road". Seeing that Jack had his way with Horror Movie Icons, if they use Eddie (Schmidt).. this could be his vision, and a way to link him to Jack again making it a "popular" connection to the main stream fans who probably never heard of or don't remember anything about Eddie Sawyer/Schmidt. Eddie as a Icon, Usher as a Mascot? Hrm. I'd like to see either.
