  2. Just caught wind that veterans who were not cast are getting offered positions via email now. So don't give up all hope just yet.

  3. Having attended all 22 years of this event, last year was the first year that I was truly disappointed. The crowds were horrendous, the drunks were out in full force and just something seemed to be missing...it was missing that old HHN vibe that I remember from previous years. Many factors are in play as to our attendance this year, I always have hope that the event will return to what it once was, a celebration of Halloween. That the focus will be put back on the ambiance and overall atmosphere of the event and not so much as to how many beer carts or shot girls can be placed in a queue line. Each year I try to have an open mind when we start to get tidbits of what to expect, this year is no different. Everyone has their own opinion about the event, good, bad or indifferent. I'm hoping that perhaps this year can sway my mindset back to the days of when I loved it and couldn't wait to step out into the fog and see what was waiting for me. Here's hoping....

  4. The first Havoc was, seriously, like 90% new hires. So, it's possible that's where you'll be.

  5. Watch the first ones to prime yourself to watch for all of the (and I do mean ALL of the) references in the 2013 movie. Watch the 2013 movie to prime yourself for the maze.

  7. I guess I'm a bonehead because BOB is her real name. Or at least what we call her, a cat's real name is only known to the cat per T.S. Eliot.

  8. Aww thanks. i suddenly became OK with the build up method this year and felt like taking a glam shot. I had my cat furball snap the pic so sorry if it isn't the best quality... (of course that's not her real name as only a bonehead would give the real name of their cat online). But I'll get a better one sooooon so I can prove my identity But in all seriousness, I am chomping at the bit for some real investigative work... c'mon LT.

  9. THAT musician house would also (St.) anger metalheads and HHN fans even further. Metal-heads: "First the black album, a documentry movie, and now a maze at HHN!?" Metallica REALLY sold out". HHN fans: "First Penn and Teller, Alice Cooper, the movies houses, and now a METALLICA house....something that barely relates to horror? HHN REALLY sold out!" It would be weird, but that didn't stop Hollywood from doing a Dubstep house. Being a metal fan, I have to admit that would get me out there, though.

  11. And there ARE local haunts in Orlando every year. A Petrified Forest and the Enzian are two of the bigger ones. That's not counting all the start-ups that pop up regularly.
