So let me start off by saying that I had a great time last night. I was pleasantly surprised to finish all of the houses by 9:15 and the weather was wonderful outside. My friend and I arrived 20 minutes early and we went straight to Legendary Truth: The Wyandot Estate first. This was a great starting house!! Loved the neat effects in this one and the scareactor who is an object you would not have suspected. Not spoiling it! I sure hope to have another Legendary Truth house down the road.

Next, we hit Psychoscarepy: Echoes of Shadybrook. I really enjoyed myself in this house and kudos goes out to whoever was the "hand" on the left side of the hallway of hands on jail cells room. Thanks for high-fiving my friend :) You pretty much made his night and he continued to try to get high-fives throughout the rest of the night and no one else would break character lol!

Then, we hit Hades: The Gates of Ruin and found this house to be intense, if I had been leading us through this house I would have totally walked into scareactors left and right (I kept walking into stuff throughout the entire house and agree that there are too many items hanging up). I was pretty lost in this house and it was dark. I feel this is the "scariest" house of the whole event. I got sprayed too lol.

Ok, so our route through the event was stage houses, parade building, tents, went on MIB, Orfanage, and Zombiegeddon last. It worked out well. We had 15 minute waits for stage houses and pretty much just walked right into the parade house as well as both tent houses. Our only waits were about 30 minutes for each Orfanage and Zombiegeddon.

Horror Nights: The Hallow'd Past was fantastic. I loved getting to go through the warehouse and ogle all of the props. Lots of fond memories from the previous 4 years I have gone. Great collection of rooms from Horror Nights past. Loved getting to see the gentlemen and zombies again.

Catacombs: My friend really appreciated the attention to the doctors' historically accurate appearance as far as having gas masks to try to protect themselves from their patients. I thought that this was a pretty decent house.

Havoc: I honestly just wasn't that interested in the storyline. The scareactors in here are definitely an aggressive group, though I didn't hear the "insults" others have heard or quite as much yelling as I was expecting.

Orfanage: An interesting house with some nice touches for the entrance to Good Harvest. I felt that this house had quite a few "dead" areas though. This is the first house I've ever been in where it made me feel sad (historical treatment at some orphanages and all). I did get to see Cindy at the end of the house though! I also liked seeing a kid in there who was wearing a mask that reminded me of The Skoolhouse.

Zombiegeddon: Enjoyed the video out front and music. This was a pretty fun house to go through. I got to see the zombie baby when I went through! Nice storyline here, and it was great walking through the garage with the van we were speculating on for so long, this room was full of zombies and I definitely love the tie in to the scarezone at the end.

After we finished with the houses, we got something to eat and then hit scarezones for 45 minutes before leaving at 10:30. Again, I was shocked that we got everything done that we wanted to do so easily. That, and my friend had a very early morning ahead of him. I'm curious to see if the recession will keep people away from the event or not.

As for scarezones I really really loved 20 Years of Fear scarezone and getting to see favorites return. Mary Shaw on skates or whatever it was, if she had gone after me she would have got me good. I wish I had got a picture of when I saw one of the gentlemen sitting on a park bench off to the side next to an older couple. It was just a kodak moment and the woman was creeped out.

Fear Revealed was just like everyone says it was so I didn't stay there long except for hanging around Chance (excellent girl playing her, and got a great pic) and Jack. The Coven was ok. It was nice and dark in there but no one went after me :( Saws and Steam was great, loved the mini show and the chainsaw guys were excellent. Two of them tried to get me at once but I didn't flinch. Pretty proud of myself. I'm still a coward in the houses though. I went through the alley and tried to tape it. I haven't reviewed it yet to see if it came out good. Lots of guys in there. I really enjoyed getting to watch the scareactors in the ZombieGras scarezone. We were waiting on a friend that we saw in line behind us so we spent a good 10-15 minutes just watching them work and they've got a lot of spirit in this cast. We were hanging around 9:15-9:30 I think. When I first walked in this zone after Orfanage they tried to work together to get me here as well though once again I didn't flinch. I love getting the attention though. Escueleto Muerte is beautiful and despite what others said they do go after people. I don't find it scary but a few of them hissed at me as I walked past them. I found the creepy music interesting for the zone since you expect a party atmosphere but it isn't. Go to ZombieGras for that ;) They do give out some beads from what I saw before ambushing everyone.

One last thing for this year, I find it very hard to rate my number 1-8 as far as houses go. Quite a few of them are kind of tied for me. #2-6 are all just kind of a jumble for me so even if it seems like its "low" on my list I still thoroughly enjoyed it. This is the first year I can say that. These houses were all pretty decent if you ask me. Here are my lists:

Houses:

1) Horror Nights: The Hallow'd Past

2) Legendary Truth: The Wyandot Estate

3) Psychoscarepy: Echoes of Shadybrook

4) Hades: The Gates of Ruin

5) Zombiegeddon

6) Catacombs: Black Death Rising

7) Orfanage: Ashes To Ashes

8) Havoc: Dogs of War

Scarezones:

1) HHN 20 Years of fear

2) Fear Revealed

3) Zombiegras

4) Saws N' Steam

5) Escueleto Muerte

6) The Coven

It is a pretty great house, like I said, this year was just different from others since it was tough for me to pick my favorite houses from others. Catacombs is just as good as the stage houses. The scareactors in here are really working hard to get everyone if you ask me. This one is up there too at number 3 I would say as far as which house is the "scariest" one. My friend, who has never gone before, really liked this one since it is the only house based on something that actually happened. The sets are excellent and do make you feel a little claustrophobic like someone else said.
