HHN fan

I liked the whole movie concept last year, you know the movie and it is cool having to live the movie, which is what US is suppose to do right, immerse you into the movies. So if they just brought back movie houses of the past, I would be fine with that, one of my favorite houses was a movie house. Dead silence Sweet 16 had 3 movie houses. People under the stairs; under construction, all night die in: take 2, and psycho path. 3 of the 7 house were movie. So maybe for 20 we will have 4 movie houses from the past. That will take care of one past icon for one of the houses can be the directors. If that rumor is correct. I would love to see Dead silence done again. A house for the year of HHN 15 with the terror queen in it would be cool and that would take care of the story teller Icon house, and there were trees heavily intertwined into HHN 15. All-night die in could come back and satisfy ether the director or the Usher. It’s nice to speculate, but I wish they would start the teaser site at least, or the draws would be cool. It’s only 3 months 28 days till the event starts. Maybe next week we will start seeing something. I predict we will not see our first HHN 20 stuff for Orlando till HP opens or a week or 2 before, as recourses are pointed at HP that will free up when it gets closer to HP open. Just a theory.

they did that for HHN 14 midway of the bizarre the nights I went through I thought it worked well, lots of fog and it made it hard to see and easy pray for the scareactors.

I don't know guys USO hasn't even updated the park hours yet for sept and oct, this is the lastest they have done this in the 7 years we have been going that they have released that info. I think we may get alot of information at once, or we my just get it later this year because of HP.

if they are bringing back houses, I would like to see Dead Silence done again. It was my favorite house that year, and is a close second to my favorite house of the 7 years I've gone, castle vampyr. I am a vampire lover. I also like to see houses from years before I started going, like 16 they brought back several I had not seen before. if they do the Icon thing and have a house for each icon, I hope the put BM in a sound stage. I wonder if USO has seen how they are keeping HP secrets so tight lipped, maybe they will be successful this year with HHN, I know that has always their goal but something always slips out, or someone slips in, like last year. I am very surprised how they haven't updated the calendar yet I think this is the latest they have every released that info, at least in the 7 years I have been coming down to HHN. I never buy my airfare till I know the dates and I have never bought my airfare later than the middle of May, so I don't know what is going on down there, so it appears they are trying to be tight lipped about 20, and maybe the hole tree thing was creative poking fun at the enthusiasts, and to give something for the rumor mill. only time will tell. we should be getting a teaser page soon I hope, I'm kind of tried of the usher.

well since HHN 20 will be in USO not IOA, I don't think HP will be a factor during HHN 20, except the extra people who come for HP and stay for HHNs. I think this year may be busy, especially near Halloween.

I don't know why people think JKR won't let US use the HP part of the park for HHNs, it is my understanding that JKR loves Halloween. so I don't believe this will keep HHN from going to IOA. I think the fact that IOA can't handle the crowds that USO can, this is why IOA will not be used, it has nothing to do with HP. USO can hold more people which means more money, more money = HHN being done there. I enjoyed the 3 years we went to HHNs that were in IOA(we missed 2002). JMHO

What about Ironman 2 and they'll have to do or say something about how to train your dragon. and don't forget shrek.

you have to remember that what ever uni has cooked up for HHN 20 it's already planed out, nothing we say here will change the ICON.this event takes a lot of work planning and 4 months out, not much will change in 4 months IMHO Jim

I have done the unmasking The Horror tour every year they have offered it. The first year it was just a walk through the 3 of the houses, which were in soundstages, no pictures. The second year it was the same tour through 3 soundstage houses, and you could take as many pictures as you what’d and it was sweet 16 and they had a museum with props and pictures from the previous 15 years. HHN 17 they had 2 tours; the 2 hour tour was the same as HHN 16, the 3 hour tour had all of the 2 hour tour had plus 1 hour Q&A with USO creative members. On our tour they talked with us for over 2 hours. HHN 18 didn’t have the tour. HHN 19 the tour came back, with 3 soundstage houses and pictures in all but Wolfman, understandably with the movie not out yet, no museum. The detail that goes into each house is what I what to see on the tour. The Q&A is cool, but not a necessity, museum was cool, again not a necessity. First you are incorrect RHPST was changed after the first year, after the first year the show was made shorter, to add an additional show. they cut out some of the movie parts that wear mainly on the big screen. but I do agree you can't compare the 2 show types. last year at a pizza party while we were in Orlando at our condo fUBAR plaied a DVD that had the RHPST from the first year it was done, and Judy and I saw it last year and that was the difference. I agree the B&T has not been as good as it could have, but one thing to think about, the target audience is 18 to 25 maybe 30. so some of us maybe are outgrowing the show. it's like the last Weird Al album I bought I think they parodied a song off of it one year, I didn't know the songs that were being parodied so I didn't understand the album. I still go to the B&T shows i get a laugh or too. the best year for me was 13 had Bush and the terrorists. i think I said this in another post but I can do without RHPST if it means something more ether in the streets or an extra house.

I don't think midnight syndicate had to sign a HDA as they gave USO the right to use their music as long as USO give them credit. I have spoken to them at Gen-Con about HHN and their music.

I love RHPST but, if we have A big stage show like 16, 17 I could have a great time without RHPST, and if it means more in the streets and houses it would be fine with me. I just hope the put something down by MIB and Simpsons or between them. last year it was so dead there. I understand why they don't have anything in amity with B&T and a House it's too congested there already.

Friday and sat nights are usualy peak nights, so they are probably going to be expencive. two nights, if you do stay and scream you should be able to get all the houses done in the 2 nights witout Express.

Well Universal Hollywood has done they're usual change to the HHN web site, it’s a non-descript web site about HHN 2010. It says to look for updates in early June, so it shouldn't be long before the Orlando site changes. Hopefully with a hint of the theme, but I’m not counting on anything.

same here I wasn't able to partake last year ether. i did tase the jello shot, I liked them better in syrenges then in blood bags. the blood bags were cool the blood mary year, but I stil like the syrenges better. I bet it a logistics thing: the bags are easier to clean up and dispose of than the syrenges.

well if he says they will not do it this year, I have 2 e-mail address i will send to ask the reason why? and ask didn't they make money doing the tour last year? But I am pretty sure they will bring the tour back hopefully they will make the UTH tour a HHN staple like the RIP tours are. Like I said earlier we don't need a museum, it's the chance to see the houses with the lights on. Last year some of the back story in the houses was explained during our tour that I missed only having gone through the house once. $40 times 15 = $600 per tour I'm not sure what a tour guide makes, but let’s say $15 hour 600 - $30 = $570. $5 for the lanyards, $565 and let’s say $65 in miscellaneous cost, and they still make $500 profit per tour. how can Universal pass on that kind of money in this bad economic times. just my 2 cents Jim

The museum was cool, but if it means no tour, I would rather have the tour with no museum. As to the 3 hour tour with the Q&A, that was cool and I would pay extra for it. Last year TJ was on my tour and he asked about a tour at night after HHN ends so like at midnight, and they would keep some scareactors around to show some things. This sounds fun but the walkthrough the houses is what I like the most on the tour. USO creative does such a great job and the detail they put in is awesome. My wife and I have done the UTH tour every year it has been offered. last year I did a quiet E-mail campaign with a couple of upper management at USO and the tour came back, during our tour TJ thank me for what I did, and our tour guide told our tour group that they had us to thank for the tour being brought back. Ok enough patting myself on the back. I think they saw they can do the tour at a profit so as long as they don’t do anything crazy the UTH tour can become a HHN staple.

there was an entire family of British on our tour HHN 17. so some do like the event as much as us.

Judy and I were talking and we usually come down during the last 2 weeks of October. We have noticed that there are a lot of British in Orlando during the last two weeks, they told us that the kids get a school holiday around Halloween that they will take two weeks and come to the states, so there are like three weeks, the last two in October and the first in November that there are a fare amount of them here. I’m not complaining the US sure can use their money. That being said with Harry Potter opening this year there may be more British here in October to see harry and that may also mean a jump in attendance for HHN. I guess we will not find out as we are coming down for opening scareamonies. Just thought I’d give us something to talk about till we get more info.

well I called VIP tours the other day and asked them to put my name and e-mail on a list for information on HHN 2o tours. I was told they hadn't started one yet but wouuld put my information in the HHN20 folder, so I would be added to it once they started it. WOHO

Nope no calendars update today. I called USO and told them they are making it harder for me to plan my annual fall vacation, and I have already missed 3 airfare sales. I think I said this before but I had my tickets last year on 2/25, my car rented 2/26, and condo reserved 3/1. I wouldn't have if the calendar wasn't updated. The excuse they don't have any idea what their attendance will be especially with harry opening 6/18. Mid to late oct the park is going to be busing during the day, and maybe at HHNs too. The British have a school holiday around Halloween. IOA will be busy this year we are planning on 10 days 2 in a hotel and 8 in our condo. I hope USO gets the calendar updated soon, I would feel a lot better about our vacation, if I could get it reserved and that way I can pay it off before we get down there and have more money available for the trip. Ok I'll stop wining

I agree jack has been the Icon too much, But I still love his blood angels from HHN17 carnival of carnage. I too would like to see Cindy and or her dad.

Hush thursday night we find out about harry potter. What is it with at midnight with USO, it seems everything is announced at midnight.I wish we could afford to come down for HP opening, but I quess it can wait till the end of september. I am glad we are not going the end of october, the park this year may be packed with british people who what to see harry potter. and then they may also go to HHNs. the british school kids get time off from school around the end for october and they take 2 weeks and come to florida. I asked one year because we had been to disney and USO and had seen alot of british. with us comming the end of sept first of oct, depending on when opening weekend is.
