Both times I saluted the zombie (most likely you) it was in front of the van. I do remember a few nights before, however, a zombie chasing me from the bullhorn area (though I don't remember him having a bullhorn at the time) and giving me the vault sign. Just last night I did it, I think it was during a shift change when I came through. Butters=the megaphone man at the beginning, right? And the cast opposite to the blonde one with the gap in the teeth?
I wear glasses, have the glowing vault shirt, and have a bit of a mustache. I'll call out your sn next time it happens if my memory holds through till next time lol.
Yeah, thats me. I was a member of the vault, so I know the shoutout. Not many do. I like the salute. It's fun. I got you from that last spot too, I was filling in for the guy that is normally there. I am supposed to be by the van but I get moved from time to time. And do it any time, I will always salute back if it's me.

Yeah, next year I'll probably ditch my good ol' vault shirt, this year I really wasn't able to afford an HHN shirt XD. That's pretty awesome, I may try sitting there before the event is up and see what happens to me.
Also, is Invader Butters the one at the end of Zombiegeddon? There's a particular zombie that always makes the V with his hands, and I always salute him, and he returns the salute. Always puts a smile on my face. In fact, I don't think I ever made a shoutout to him, so here it is lol. I usually salute my scareactors. The captain in Hallow'd Past really seems to love it.
I think the zombie you are seeing is me... does this happen in the last room of the house? Or outside? Cuz I have been placed in that last spot also. I know I remember someone saluting me in both spots... Not on the same night of course.

Can someone tell me what was happening to this house around 9:30? a bunch of people were being send back in the line, but there was a small line still waiting to get in the house,
(I was in the Hades line)
Then after I got out Hades there was a bunch of water in the floor outside the houses, what was going on? the fish hooks again?
Heard through the grapevine that it was some kind of busted water pipe. House had to be closed for about 2 hours or so... If I am wrong, someone please correct.

So what's supposed to be the point of having a throne there if nothing is supposed to be there? Don't quite get the logic
Maybe they are trying to point more towards a "Fear DID sit there... He's just out for a stroll in HHN XX. Will be back later..." kind of approach... Maybe that could be written on a piece of paper and placed on the throne... Any takers?
**I am in no way asking anyone to really do this... but it would be funny as hell to see in a pic of the throne.

Quick question for you guys... I won't get to hit the event until Oct. 17th because I am working in ZombieGeddon. My wife got to go to the event on Saturday and was walking into one of the soundstage houses and saw the video playing on the stage. She said it had video clips of scareactors from years past. We were both cast in Interstellar Terror in 2008 and I guess she said we made it into the video.
Did anyone happen to record that video? I want to be able to see it before going. Or can anyone try to catch it this weekend? I would greatly appreciate it. Havent seen myself in any kind of media from Universal yet, so this was awesome news when my wife told me.

Not a scareactor but a photographer, do not know who you were, But I thank you for letting me know you had to use your flash. Some I expect it from (Mark, Michele, Ect..) and those are fine, but for a complete stranger to let me know is commendable.
That may have been my wife. She is rather nice when it comes to taking photos. But not too sure. I havent flipped through her pics yet.

got to scare Brian tonight in Zombiegeddon. Last room in the house, zombie mechanic just after the door by the van. Got him good too, definitely both feet left the ground. My partner in the room got him too. Awesome to see him come through.

Really... how LONG was it... I love how when something isn't brand new, it's OLD news... Some people have lives and we may not have time to browse the web to catch the NEWEST stuff... I didnt see this until 2 days ago. Lighten up.... Some people aren't FANBOYS and don't mind things being a surprise.
EDIT: Aside from that, I love this video. I love the creepiness of Fear controlling the girl. It's the same thing in the videos with the Icons. I like the concept.

That info won't be posted till after the event starts. It's still not open to the public, so no pics or show info can be posted yet. Employee preview is still considered one of our rehearsals. So just give it a couple days... you'll see the list somewhere.

seriously thou, I love the arrogant scareactors, who love to post things that mean nothing, so people will ask them... Just so they can say "I can't tell you." its so mature..
At any rate.. Even thou it was said that the humor house would not be the one we are thinking of... I have a feeling it is Zombiegeddon.
I think it's because of forums like this that make people arrogant. Look at how many people post info videos about HHN from July to September and take them down by the time the event details are released.
This is the same crap that happened on Vault, scareactors being looked to for info and some of them take it too far. I understand the termination thing, I'm an employee too. But I won't go around trying to post about things in a "beat-around-the-bush" sorta way. If I can't say it, I won't say anything at all. Not some stupid hints or odd-ball clues to make people ask me for info. I bet this guy also has people PM him for more detailed info... And if he's so worried about getting terminated due to what he says, maybe he should stay off the boards and quit wasting his and our time...
Just sayin... But I won't say anymore because I don't wanna get terminated. hahahaha

That is because we aren't allowed to give any information about our SZ's or houses. We could be terminated if someone from Universal discovered that we have posted specific information in a public forum.

You may not see anything from us until mid-way through the event. We don't have much to talk about anyways. The event hasn't even started.

AH the question, year after year, nobody seems to no the answer too. Every year I go in every day to all the stores and ask "When will the lanyard be out?" "When will the merch be out?", every year we get as many answers as the people you ask, and every stinking year the merch comes out either later the same day I asked and nobody at Uni knows.
For example I've already been told the lanyards came out last week and they sold out (har har), last Friday, Today (Monday) and opening day (this Friday). All by guest services employees.
I had a myriad of similar answers about the merch for this year from various employees. So I guess the only real answer is ":Wehn it comes out"
Not talking bad about HHN employees, but the services people never seem to know any details at all... I've noticed that they are the WRONG people to ask about any kind of date or time anything will be in stock or restocked. It's just a matter of ignorance or sometimes they were never told so they won't have an answer. Iunno. I don't expect much from them...

and I just sent you an IM on FB, because the ASM didn't actually put a word in, this was me talking to Patrick, the ASM was there with us. See, my thing is I have a low level light camera. I could actually shoot the house, and probibly have halfway decent results in a few rooms (god bless 1.2 Apature) but it's the whole not stopping to setthe shot that most people will have an issue with I think. In general, should pics be taken? No. They won't turn out good, 99% of the people will end up stopping trying to get whatever shot they want right (which probibly still won't do them any good, etc.)
But, the ruling given by the show director (which of course means NONE of the house attendants know and/or will follow it) is that the photos are allowed, sans flash, and if you keep walking.
*shrugs* Take that for whatever it's worth I suppose.
Nah... Read the signs... ask anyone else in charge (Patrick can be leniant and sometimes just give you an answer b/c he has no time to talk) and they will tell you, NO PHOTOS in houses

That is, in essance, the exact rulign I was told.
But it is WRONG!!!! Why do you think the ops people stop people from even having their cameras out? It's because it's a RULE that is to followed. Did anyone see the video posted by MattJohnson a few posts up? This is exactly what the ops guys have to stop all night long.
I don't care what the ASM or Patrick told you, obviously they are not looking at a SOP booklet to give you a correct answer. The rules are set down for a reason and everyone tries to find a reason to break them. I know you want pictures, but how many scareactors here have been blinded multiple times a night by guests, probably 15% of them being forum members, because someone else told them pics were allowed in the houses?

this is coming from a discussion between myself, my ASM, and patrick, about how we were supposed to have friends take pictures of us in makeup/costumes since we can't do it backstage. they said it was aloud.
As a "verteran" I would have to disagree... Chemowasabi, I know who you're talking about and that person is wrong, and I tried to point that out to them and they didn't understand.
Photography in houses is a very sketchy subject. It is really only acceptable in the streets. But if you can "sneak" a camera in and use it without the OPs people knowing, then obviously it can work. But if you are snapping photos and are caught, you could suffer consequences for it.
My judgement here, Don't do it. The pictures usually come out crappy anyways unless you have the steadiest hands in the world and can shoot in complete darkness without flash. OR if you have infrared on you camcorder to record video. But this is is very hard to come by and usually a pain to set up unless you plan on not enjoying the event to play with settings on your equipment all night. There is a reason they say "No flash photography" outside the houses on the signs... It's actually like them saying "No Photography" in the houses.
People complain and argue over this subject every year and I know someone will have a disagreement to this comment, but please understand... Technically, it's not allowed. And vouching for it from what a "newbie" ASM says is not the way to go. The ASM Chemowasabi is thinking of didn't have a definite answer anyways... I know you guys are going to do it anyways, so who cares either way, just stating my 2 cents...

Yes... In Hollywood (for 20 Years of Fear) and in NY (for Saws n Steam)... Eddie is supposedly located in the 20 Years of Fear zone or in Fear Revealed. Not sure which one but it's rumored he is on either one of those streets.

Not necessarily. The Underworld of Greek mythology was hardly a place of hellfire and brimstone. Your exact punishment in the afterlife depended on what your evil deeds in life were, so fire would have a specific connection.
Theoretically, fire could be seen just about ANYWHERE in the houses. Hallow'd Past could have the lantern with flames erupting out of it like in the commercial, Zombiegeddon could include guys with flamethrowers near the entrance or exit, etc.
No flames in Zombiegeddon. Maybe in Zombie Gras, but not in the house. I hear it may be in the Orfanage, but possibly also the Hallow'd Past house... Not too sure though.
