  1. If you are cast in a permanent role (non ABU) you will have two rehearsal nights and the employee preview night which is essentially a dress rehearsal. Rehearsal nights are typically 7pm-12am or 7pm-11pm. All of the rehearsal dates will be listed on the audition sheet that you fill out and you are able to mark exactly which ones you can and cannot attend.
  2. The doors to the HR building won't open until 5:30 at the earliest, unless it starts to pour rain. Anticipate waiting outside, bring an umbrella. The auditions start at six and the amount of time it takes for you to be finished is entirely dependent on how early you get there. In essence if you get there earlier you don't have to stay as late. If you get there later you just finish later in the night. It's fairly likely you will have to wait a long time no matter when you show up.
  3. No. If you go to the audition and are cast then they will have you fill out the application there.
  4. I really like this new history site. All of the videos are great and the layout of the sections is a great way to build up the event through the years.
  5. Actually roles are given over the phone, and sometimes there is only 2 of certain characters. It becomes even easier to trace someone when they say i am "such and such #11". Bottom line is, if you are cast, and you then receive a phone call with your role, do not disclose it. It is ok to say "I'm Cast B in Hollywood" but don't post your role until the event starts.
  6. Actually calls did start going out today.
  7. Internal means he works for UO. The outside bit means he works outside of the entertainment department. Your supervisor has to sign off on your transfer to entertainment for HHN.
  8. I will definitely let you know where I end up this year. I only work horror nights right now, but I remain a seasonal employee all year long (I get to keep the id and some of the team member benefits). I am learning how to walk stilts right now so that I can work Macy's and Mardi Gras.

  9. Last year I was active backup and worked 13 nights. I was in all the houses except for Cleaver and Saw. The last four nights I was the Usher in Shadows of the past.

  10. Haha, yes indeed. This will be my third year scaring.

  11. 1. I know quite a number of people who have full time jobs that also work horror nights. They seem tired during the run but they have just as much fun as everyone else. The gig is only for a month so it's a temporary strain on yourself. That being said, working the event is very tiring physically and mentally. It is a lot of fun though and an entirely unique experience. 2. When you go to the audition you'll be given a form that will have every event night listed. You can mark off which nights you would like to take off. Your availability is a key factor in whether or not you are chosen. If you request many nights (5+) off your odds of being hired are reduced. However, if you have a commonly used body type you would still have a good chance of being chosen for Active Back-up. You should be able to request a night or two off without it impacting your ability to be hired.
  12. Yes, and I'm going to be working as a scareactor again this year. I imagine you'll be coming down this year to see the 20th anniversary?

  13. Hey Michelle how have you been?

  14. I don't think that would accomplish what we want. The page would just be deleted again for the same reasons it was before. The solution is to recreate the page using Wikipedia's standards for a page, i.e. using independent sources to reference everything.
  15. Can't we just put up the page again? We can start from scratch. The old one was kind of disorganized and long winded anyways.
  16. Auditions are held in the Universal Orlando Human Resources building. 1000 Universal Studios Plaza Orlando, FL Character typeout just means that they will look at you and determine which body type you are in order to place you in a role.
  17. That is the description that has always been used on the audition page. I wouldn't view it as a clue to this year's theme.
  18. That is the music that was in Shadows of the past. Not that version, but that is the song. This is the version they used http://www.amazon.com/Theme-From-the-Shining/dp/B0029RXCHK/ref=sr_1_6?ie=UTF8&qid=1276277251&sr=1-6 .
  19. If I understand correctly the leaked items are room names for the houses. These room names are always descriptive of the room much in the same way that on a DVD menu the names of the chapters are descriptive of the scene, albeit in a usually funny or ironic way. If these are real, they are most likely good indicators of what the room will have in it. /spec
  20. Rachael ... A scareactor? Wow. That would be cool. What are you doing in Orlando this fall?
  21. Via Facebook: A look at the palace theater via Photosynth http://photosynth.net/view.aspx?cid=d480aa....92233009708738 This is mentioned in the new video on the theater page.
  22. Site updated with the behind the scenes "sneak peaks" of Wolfman, Dracula, and Frankenstein.
  23. NickC posted the video to his site. It's a misslinking problem in the flash code. http://horrornights.be/media/hhn19/hhn19_v.php Click on Spawning Creature.
