  1. Well now I know that I've pretty much gotten used to my best spot now, we had 2 houses and our opposing cast come through to practice on. So ive figured out my best spot. EP for me is doing farther experimentation on people who will actually be scared. So I would venture to say some will be excellent, I know my room in my house is fully ready, all three of us.

    So EP is still awesome!

  2. Gotta say that I am pretty bummed that they aren't offering the IOA add-on from 4-7pm this year :(

It has been our groups' tradition since HHN moved back over to Universal to ride the coasters at IOA to get pumped before venturing into Horror Nights. I have an annual pass this year so it doesn't really matter much to me but the rest of my group won't be able to get into IOA early, which pretty much sucks.

This is the first year that they haven't offered it since moving HHN back to the studios, I wonder why? Looks like our tradition is getting the ol' shaftarooni...

Better not be because of Potter...

    :( :( :(

It's funny you say that. It is also my families tradition and I was very upset too. Today I called up there to make sure they weren't doing it and he did say no. However he did say instea thy are doing a Universal early ticket. he said it will be from 2-5 and that it had literally jut gotten approved before igot onthe phone with him. I'm guess we will work similar to stay and scream? Get in the holding areas around 5? Has anybody else heard about this? Was I literally the first guest they told? He did say it had just gotten approval, and to expect it on the site in the next few days.

EDIT: sorry for the excessive grammatical errors I am doing this from my iPod.

  3. yeah carnival or carnage was an amazing year, but, I feel there are a lot of dead zones around the park,

You know, Is been raining so much in the afternoon these days, I really hope that by the time HHN starts the rain will also stop, it's going to really suck if it rains as bad as it is now,

I guess I better buy a Poncho just in case...

That might be a great way to get intense scares........just buy a Walt Disney World poncho haha, you'll be a huge target!

I believe they do have the different lighting troughout the park, I don't ever remember saying to myself "man I wish it was more halloweenish here" I guess it's one of those little details they do for us that we don't notice but subtly appreciate.

  4. My question is all this build-up to the "release of the commercial" with these big Whig Hollywood directors and its worse than the past few years commercials?? i felt like it was shorter too, im gonna say with the mediocre site and commercial i hope this event at the park will be off the wall!!

  5. Gotta be honest with you, I see this being a major problem. Maybe I am wrong, but on peak nights, you will have tons of people that will want to walk through the coffin out of there own stupidity and then you well have a traffic jam. Just my two cents. However, ESQUELETO MUERTE looks amazing and so does my scarezone, Saw n' Steams. Like with many of you, I am just excited to see what we will be wearing to go along with the setting. Can't wait for rehearsals next week and some more construction pics.

Dont ya think as long as the SA stays in his area, it shouldnt be too much of a problem. I see this working that he/she will jump through the coffin at someone then once done turn right around and jump through the coffin again but scare someone on the other side? Then again i am a rookie SA so i dont know too much, just a thought.

I will say thanks Calvary, that shot gets me super excited for Shadow Creek, it looks to be moving along great! Also this is a legal picture which is always good haha :P

  6. I don't see why this is even an issue, I, like jwfearman, am a Christian also and wouldn't be offended at all. And ifthere are people who are offended it doesn't matter anyway, allthey have to do is cover them, problem solved and time wasted on an issue easily solved.

But as has been mentioned I'm extremely excited they're starting early too, I feel like that because they are starting so early that it means the streets will be amazing, lots of props and whatnot, which makes me wonder about how amazing the houses will be because they have already been working in them for months.

  7. Last night on the Brian Brushwood show he was interviewing Patrick from Universal Creative. He said 2 things that peaked my interest. The first was when he was talking about the Catacombs he said we are "going to see a character we have never seen before" and then he started smiling. The second thing was about the Legendary Truth house and him specifically mentioning seeing ghosts "walk through walls." He said a bunch of other cool little hints and tidbits but those 2 stood out the most to me.

Wow that sounds like The LT house is going to be a true embodyment of fear. I mean ghosts are a real fear for me, because they have no limits like humans do. Plus a house made mostly for fanboys/girls like us, yes!!! I think this will be my favorite house, despite the fact im in Hallowd Past as a SA, haha

  8. I hate to break the hatter aboutthe vendor and the epically amazing dancing security guard that I and everyone else loves but

I was thinking today, how every year dis we know which house was where? Like for example when the big reveal came out last year, how dis we know that silver screams was in b-79? Was it based on what we saw construction wise? I mean in the site descriptions they don't exactly put an in SS23 we have.... I couldn't remember for the life of me how we knew. Can someone jog my memory?

  9. No its facing towards everything. Back towards JAWS is nothing (been that way for a long time) except the orphanage. but even if it was facing the other what difference would it make? People come and go both directions and there is only one front. You wouldn't face it towards disaster or away from disaster either as it would take up too much room and the the front is facing no one.

This confirms the mardi Gras theme scare zone but causes trouble with "one picture one area" idea as the glowing skull guy everyone assumed would be here. unless he is elsewhere...

My bad perspective on that because of lack of observation. I thot it was closer to the cart there that sells those bracelets but you guys are saying there's a walkway between this prop and the cart that sells the jewelry & bracelets?? Therefore placing it in the middle of the fake cable car turner as Dr Jimmy said. Man my perspective on that picture saw differently

  10. When you compare the two pictures of the Pegasus float it looks like they may be destroying it some. Maybe like a Mardi Gras parade gone horrible wrong.

The way they have it positioned is very weird, facing away from everything? I mean I guess it could be something we see in the disaster house but it doesn't match the theming speculation we've had for the disaster house. And it's facing away from the rumored scarezone. Unless as someone said it's a Mardi GRAS parade gone wrong which if it's a bunch of crashed floats and SA's walkin around sounds kinda dumb, I like the idea of a new Orleans+ marxdi GRAS+ voodoo Feel

I think it's time for Dr Jimmy to give us a speculatory breakdown on how this could be connected.......

  11. Maybe not the Caretaker himself in that old Victorian manor, but perhaps another very close family member...

....as in, what if Cindy's house isn't Jaws, but Soundstage 22? I know sequel houses are a taboo topic here alongside movie houses and Jack, but given the idea that the Disaster house may, in fact, be the RUN house that never was starring Eddie, then 22 could possibly be the Screamhouse that never was starring Cindy (even though, in theory, it would essentially be the same as it was in 2002 but with a little girl instead of a caretaker as the star).

Not that I don't like this idea, but I Thought we've been hearing about a small amount of past and more so new terrors developing. With all this stuff about bringing back houses it kinda messes up that ideal. I figured we'd have the parade building as our little tribute the all others as original stuff. But as always speculation is speculation and makes the weeks up to the reveal so much fun :)

EDIT: maybe they can take the profit off HHN this year, not do HHN next year and finally put tents over the parks :P

  12. ^^haha thats funny, and yes it required a post to state the obvious

Now i was just thinking about this costume, and if you disagree, just disagree dont do some kind of ripping apart of my post

but could this be the zombie of the parade building? just throwing it out there.

  13. Okay so thinking back to Shadows of the Past was there any type of latern in it? I mean if this lantern is such a big deal shouldn't it have made a little appearance seeing that Shadows of the Past was suppose to be a preview of this year?

Or maybe you were inside the lantern viewing the horror it holds, of course this has all been discussed in the previous pages, I myself like that ideal.

  14. All this speculation is making my head hurt. I really think many of the answers are going to be far more obvious than we think. Just my opinion. I really know nothing, and I understand it is fun to speculate, but some of the analysis, in my belief, is overdone.

I can't wait till full details arrive and we all notice how much we were wrong/right.

'tis the beauty of speculation, in the years I've watched the forums at the vault then here this year. I have seen speculation hit right on the dot and I've seen off the wall stuff which is just funny to read.

I do love that A&D is so tight lipped this year, this has been my favorite/ most hair pulling pre-release of info speculation yet(if you can understand what I'm saying) and it is because they are so secretive, normally we have great stuff leaked by now. So kudos AGAIN to A&D we only know that the event will happen and that it's only in USF, I'd say job well done.
