  1. good call! combines both academic and government. I'd have to agree.
  2. Government symbols usally have olive branches, birds, banners, buildings and such. Although I can see where you're coming from with the stars on the outside this just seems more academic to me with the crest and alpha and omega symbols.
  3. The pic with the shadow creek blueprints shows a crest that has greek letters on it in between the words shadow and creek. perhaps it is a fraternity or sorority that gets to really get greek with actual greek gods and monsters. ie; pledges get hazed by facing gorgons and psyclops.
  4. I know this year isn't a movie themed year..but a clever way to incorporate popular movies would be to place past icons in houses loosely based on movies. such as the speculation about the crazies. Imagine a house similar to the movie the crazies but instead of a person coming at you with pitchfork throw in Jack or the caretaker or sindy or any one of the icons stalking you with the pitchfork. I don't think this will happen but it would be cool to see popular movie themes taken over by the icons.
  5. Could this have something to do with the "every school has One" clue we recieved earlier? Could the new icon be the valedictorian? A supreme evil that surpasses all past characters?
  6. the best thing about using the 20 years of fear tagline is it means they are celebrating a milestone but they aren't giving anything away. I mean nowhere does it say reunion. They are simply celebrating the last 20 years. And let's face it, isn't it better to go into the unknown and be truly shocked rather than to have an idea of what's coming ahead? Don't get me wrong I love the backstories and the build up but what scares us the most is not knowing what to expect.
  7. Personally I don't mind the idea of one house being devoted to past icons, but I would hope to see a lot of new stuff this year. I think that the general public may not follow the stories of the individual icons or house themes but this being a halloween themed event during halloween is generally enough to bring people in. I mean it definately helps when you have movie themed houses but most people want to go to haunted houses during the halloween season. If they really want to bring people in they should do more nation wide advertising and lower ticket prices. I hoped to see some darker gothic themes this year and maybe a house having to do with common fears that people have.
  8. Well since the title of that piece of music is roughly "Day of Wrath" maybe the Gods are giving these icons one last time to wreak havoc. One thing I noticed about that scarezone in particular was how crowded it was with Icons. Possibly the red lighting could be relating to them being confined in hell just waiting for the chance to be let out. I mean Jack was pacing like a caged dog on the fire escape. Maybe what we should get from that scarezone was how immersive it really was. You were literally surrounded by hhn's past.
  9. I would love to see 13 ghosts become a house, the Jackal is bad ass! Of Course Silent Hill. But I would love to see one based on Dog Soldiers since it's my favorite werewolf movie.
  10. I realize this but it still dealt with Hell and epic figures in Christian mythology. And yes as I recall it was a hyped game people were just saying they ripped off God of War.
  11. It makes sense that they would try to incorporate mythology into this years event. Especially with the release of "Clash of the Titans" not to mention the two hot game releases this year being "God of War 3" and "Dantes Inferno". It also lends itself quite well to the event with it's menacing and vengeful gods. Another clever way to bring something new to the devoted fans and a way to get others to come face to face with characters they recognize from the movie or game. Not saying they would have a "God of War 3" house, just saying it will appeal to fans of the series.
