  1. Do you think this house will re-use the body with that "Thing" coming out of his body and attaching to the ceiling?

If they do reuse it, it would might have to be refurbished repainted. It was used it Hades last year, and was bloodied up quite a bit.

Here's a picture taken from UTH by JWFearman (thanks Jeramy!):

I'm suprised that this house is quite low on the "Most Anticipated House" poll, for I'm quite excited to see it this year. I do understand that many of y'all saw Assimilation and it wasn't too fantastic, though. From the facade rendering, this house looks like it will have amazing sets!

  2. No, but stuffed Sharks are allowed! =P

I was just about to say that Lizz! You beat me to it! :P

While other members have pointed out this could very well turn out to be a steampunkified Saw house, I have a feeling it will be more of a steampunkified Havoc. No, it will not have test tubes and supersoldiers, but I just feel it will have the similar intensity and pace.

I have a feeling I'll love the art direction in this house...

  3. Why is it everytime I have a bad driver/tailgater/complete moron behind me, they seem to have a handicap placard hanging from their rearview mirror? That placard does not give you license to drive like shit...only to park like shit in your designated humongous parking space.

*And I'm not saying everyone with a handicap placard drives like a total moron, but they always seem to be the ones who insist on driving so far up my ass they could be changing the station on my radio for me.

That right there has made my day.

  4. 1) Nightingales: Blood Prey

    2) The Thing

    3) The Forsaken

    4) Nevermore: The Madness of Poe

    5) The In-Between

    6) Saws N' Steam: Into the Machine

    7) Winter's Night: The Haunting of Hawthorn Cemetery

    8) H.R. Bloodengutz Presents: Holidays of Horror

    *I edited my list

After hearing all the talk about EP and seeing the released house videos, all 8 deserve the top spot. :D

  5. I didn't make up a whole thread for this, so I guess I'll just ask it here...

Can someone please describe the witch room in The Hallow ('08) in the most detail possible. What was the lighting and audio like, what were the scares, what did the room itself look like, what type of props were in there, any special effects, ect.

I started actual house construction on Raven's Halloween Haven yesterday, and I'm currently working on the witch room.

I'd also be great if anyone could describe The Hallow in general!

  6. that black and white picture is obviously telling us that that house will be black and white

Houses are (and will be) in black in white mostly because of relations to some sort of media. Photography was black and white (Dead Exposure), and video/film was in black and white (Organ Room - Silver Screams). I'm not so sure this whole house will be in black and white, unless we're seeing it through photographs, film, or perhaps even a news paper. However, the only house to be currently rumored as a television/film themed house would be the Diaster! queue house. It has me quite confused, for I can't relate a presidential/red button crisis/ect. scenario to anything along the lines of the Diaster! house, which is expected to be holiday/t.v. movie marathon house. What is also confusing me is how a holiday and a t.v. movie marathon can link together, unless it was the President's Day holiday. But that still leaves me wondering why a President's Day room would be in black and white. Now, the actual room doesn't have to be in black in white. The photo just could have been edited to black and white, with a color splash on the red button. Perhaps A&D just wanted to hint that the photo is supposed to portray a room/house from a time in the past But who knows, it could always turn out to be the "ABC Family Presents: 25 Days of Christmas" marathon... :P

Another thing... the previous picture of the wooden blocks are in black and white, but noticed from other photos, the blocks aren't actually the colors black and white.

(Not trying to put your ideas down, just speculating as a whole...)

  7. I brought this up in the Construction thread. But, since according to the most recent updates the walls in shrek alley have wheels. Does anyone think their might be scarezones that "change"?

I would love to see that!!!

It could possibly be an actual maze that changes design ever so often.

A "Rat Run", if you will...

  8. Some more pictures from the "Rumor Window." Some of these are older so you may see different objects in different places from the last set of pictures I uploaded.

The cowboy hat is behind the black hat (the one with the little balls hanging down) from last year's scarezone. There's not a really clear picture. But, in person, its definitely a cowboy hat.

I spy... a Esqueleto Muerte hat, a pirate hat, and is that a Chinese dragon type of decoration hanging up?
