Hollywood is doing a Q&A tonight on Twitter and somebody asked how many houses would be based off a TV show this year. They said "More than 1." Now they could be including WD but I don't think that's what they were talking about. I think this could add a little more credit to that Ash VS Evil Dead rumor.

Just to put an end to the whole no Torrances in the house argument here's what HHN Hollywood had to say when asked what character we would see the most in their house. "Jack Torrance since he's the main antagonist but lots of other characters too" And while that goes for Hollywood it stands to reason that there wouldn't be an issue here in Orlando either.

So here's my opinion on the scarezones, I think they all sound pretty good. I'd maybe prefer not to have the Purge again BUT it was such a great zone last time and they've added even more characters that we haven't seen yet to the line up since Election Year came out so I'm fine with it. All the original ones sound beat to me so no problem there. My main concern is actually Trick r Treat. For years I've wanted it at the event but never once did I think as only a scarezone. Will it work as one, yes. Especially in Central Park where they can bring back the pumpkins. However I just personally feel like it's just such a wasted opportunity to make a great house with some great locations. For this reason alone I really hope that this one is wrong and maybe it's just a generic Halloween zone or maybe a sequel the The Skoolhouse from 2008.

Could Time be a Saw scarezone? A horror IP having to do with time screams Saw to me. Especially if it's the scarezone in Hollywood that's leads up to the house.

Well IF the Icon is Cindy and IF the "Icon" code name for the scarezone is actually for the icon then she'll be getting 1 house (Dark Fortunes) and 1 scarezone.

What if Cindy was the main Icon but she's called forth other various figures of death to help her. You could have the Voodoo Queen doing her thing, Lady Death bringing in the Day of the Dead stuff, and even good old daddy Caretaker doing some more autopsies somewhere. Carve- Voodoo Queen Time- Caretaker Phenomenon- ? Culture- Lady Death Icon- Cindy That's just my 2 cents.

Maybe we'll get that Blumhouse mashup house from Hollywood. That would be a suitable replacement for The Conjuring in my opinion.

If you hover over a person's name you'll see an option to "Ignore User" which basically hides all their posts. I've only ever used it once to rid myself of some negativity.

I can see both sides of this argument working but I'm leaning more towards the Torrances being in the house and here's why. Firstly, how can you have a Shining house without any of the 3 main characters? It's not like Walking Dead where you can get away with just zombies, or ghosts in this case, because while the Shining is a classic film I don't think a lot of the younger generation has seen the movie. The only things I think they'll recognize are the Grady Twins and the "Here's Johnny" scene. Secondly, the official YouTube videos for both parks clearly mention them in the descriptions. Orlando: "Face the tormented Grady Twins. Experience Danny Torrance’s blood soaked premonitions. And it’s “all work and no play” as an axe-wielding Jack Torrance pursues you through a snow covered hedge maze. This legendary masterpiece is now the most terrifying haunted experience imaginable. This is “The Shining”. Hollywood: "All work and no play makes Jack a dull boy. This fall, for the first time ever, The Shining is coming to Halloween Horror Nights at Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal Orlando Resort" And finally, Jack Torrance makes 2 appearances in the announcement trailer. If there was such an issue with character licensing, no matter how recent, I doubt Universal would have just released it with the Torrances still in the video AND the descriptions for BOTH parks. Is it possibly, yes. Is it likely, no.

OK everyone, let's get back on topic please. This is the HHN 27 speculation thread and not an open discussion on if men or woman are equally as scary.

Just for the record, you should never take the music played at HHN as a clue for the following year. Literally almost every song is from a movie or TV show and is chosen purely on where it will be played and if it fits. I mean they've played the Shinning theme alone at the event for at least 3 different years. Now I'm not saying it'll NEVER be used as a hint but...you know.

Unfortunately I don't have a HQ version of that photo so I can't really make a wallpaper. However as soon as I do I'll let you know.
