  1. Did you read the poem that Legacy posted? I think this one has to be for the war house. Too much of a coincidence! Also - I have other reasons to believe this clue specifically points to our "female" house, but unfortunately I'm not at liberty to explain why. =(
  2. I think the later half of this post belongs in the "Wishful Thinking" thread... and I'm afraid you will have your hopes dashed =P
  3. Hadn't even thought of that, but I think that's hitting the nail right on the head. Seems to fit... and actually makes me quite excited for that house if it's true!
  4. Dr. Jimmy... I was thinking this might go more for the WWI house. If our suspicions are correct, the war house needs to be in 23B. This is the house with the largely female cast of "nurses." I'm thinking perhaps our "nurses" are of a supernatural nature and that they might be after our soldiers. The war house needs to have an "enemy" of some sort, and I would bet that enemy will be supernatural.
  5. Haha - Did you know you were psychic? Apparently you knew about the helicopter before you knew about the helicopter. I'm leaning toward 23A myself. And I must say, I'm pretty excited about the possibility of an actual helicopter in the Thing house! That's a pretty impressive prop, if it's true!
  6. This has been misconstrued. We tried to guide you away from looking at pirates in relation to every hint we were receiving from our mutual friend, because we assumed we'd be getting a clue specific to a pirate house. Which we did some time later (jn theory, at least. Still not 100% it's pirates). As we said then - we weren't shooting down your "pirates" idea. We were simply stating that you were stretching to fit what you wanted into clues that were meant to be house specific. I'm not sure everyone would agree with you on this point. No one is going to share info and then attribute it directly to their source. As far as I know, everyone who posts hints and information here are secondary sources. Part of speculation is learning who to trust and then following what that person says each year. Dr. Jimmy is a good example of that. People listen when he speaks, because he has proven that his information is correct more often than not. But you'd rather have him not post or guide discussion without a bibliography or justifying every theory? My point is that - if you don't have sources and you still want information, then you have to be patient and learn who to trust. You don't need to know the source directly if you trust the person who is distributed the information. Yes, there are people who just say: "No. You're wrong." And don't try to guide conversation. Others, like myself, will tell you you're off track but also try to guide you toward the light. My example above with your pirates post should be an indicator of that. We don't always have a way to explain our "why" in a public way, but we're trying our best to do so. Furthermore, the owners and staff of this site have asked us not to remain silent when we know newer members or members not "in the know" are going down a wrong path.
  7. Agreed. This is why I share what I can, but don't flaunt information that I'm unable to share. It's one thing to withhold information to protect sources... it's another to withhold information just to dangle a carrot in front of someone's nose to seem "in the know." There are definitely both kinds of people in the community, so I understand the frustration. Just as it's difficult and frustrating to not have all the information, it is also difficult and frustrating to try to share as much as you can and then be lumped together in that secondary "elitist" group. So that's my final say on this subject, and I will gladly move back into regular speculation. =)
  8. Just as a follow-up response, since I feel I was just indirectly insulted and called "elitist" for discussing the window... I live in Nebraska. I have no direct contact with the window. If someone chooses to share the window contents with me, then it is up to that person to share the information with the group if they so choose. They haven't chosen to do so, nor have they given me permission to distribute the picture they took. I feel like this point has been brought up multiple times so far by Legacy, but I want to reiterate this: those of us who are more "in the know" typically have allegiances with sources. We reveal what we're allowed to or direct conversation as best we can without directly stating what we know. This isn't some sick game we play to feel powerful or "elitist." It's to protect our sources - otherwise we wouldn't continue to receive such information. If I am given permission to share, then I do. I know others on this forum who are "in the know" are the same way. "Elitist" seems to be the hot button word this year, but please trust that we're not doing this to screw you over. We're trying our best to distribute the information we have without losing our sources.
  9. Yeah, the last time we skipped a week we received two clues the following week. Hoping luck will be on our side this week as well!
  10. I think the rabbit's foot/horseshoe videos are teasers for the theme and event as a whole, but NOT specific to a house. The games on the website are the clues to the houses. I feel like these videos are hints to our "Luck." As a very brief recap of current speculation for our locations: Soundstages: the Thing, Cemetery and WWI house. Not sure the exact order of what will be in SS22, SS23A and SS23B, but the current spec is that these will be our Soundstages. Disaster - Horror Holidays Television spectacular of some sort. Jaws - Saws n Steam Parade - Pirates/Columbus/Spaniards... shipwreck? fort? something of that sort. Tent 1 - Runes/Demons... etc. Tent 2 - This is our mystery house still. Poe? Icon house? Something entirely different? We're not sure yet. So that leaves Tent 2 as the only possible location. Not everything from that window will be able to be at the event. I assume some are hints, while some are there as decoys. I'm assuming the cowboy hat is a decoy. Perhaps a scarezone though? Who knows.
  11. I don't think it should be ignored. I just think people are way off on the wrong track. Even if they posted the "clean" version on facebook, it would seem that multiple versions of the "distressed" version have gone out. Wouldn't be that way if it wasn't intentional.
  12. I am just not seeing what you're seeing... at all. I can't even disagree with you, because I have no clue how you're related those two images. I feel like the person who couldn't do those 3D mystery images that were so popular in the 90s. LOL. But I'm going to say that I don't think it's a Castle. I think it's the Mast of a ship.
  13. Agreed. Also: On the question: True or False, no one has ever left after being accepted into the society (paraphrasing there, obviously). The answer is True. Wanna bet it's because they've all been killed? Seems like we're getting tricked into joining this Utopian society where we're likely just being recruited for our bodies.
  14. The facts: 23B has a role named "Nurse." This is likely a codename that has little to nothing about the actual role. It might make sense once we find out the actual role... it might not. "Nurse" does not have to literally mean "nurse." Yes, they did a Psychoscarepy: Home for the Holidays house in 2007. Psychoscarepy will not be back. It is part of the previous era of HHN, and it's also be done four times. Time to move on. Also - HHN Orlando has been known to do sequels or prequels, but they never repeat a house literally. So although there seems to be a Christmas room in Disaster, it will NOT be Home For the Holidays all over again.
  15. There will be no SAW house this year. There will be Saws, and perhaps Saws n Steam... but no SAW. =)
  16. As a refresher, Disaster includes the television studio/production props, as well as the holidays scenes. We know for sure Easter and Christmas, but the role names seem to suggest there will be many other holidays as well.
  17. Nice find, Ely! I work at a museum and we just did an exhibit on 1968, so I knew it had to be right around that time =) Love that you found the actual ad!
  18. Perhaps a nod to the Charles B. from our own HHN fan community? Wouldn't be the first time they've done a nod to fans. I agree - late 60s/early 70s for the time period of the house. I don't think our event will tie the houses together, except for perhaps on themes of chance or something along those lines. No single time period, however.
  19. Wow... Are all of you using Safari? There seems to be an issue with the games and Safari. Try a different browser.
  20. If you go in expecting the "color" coded zone to be Chinese New Year, I think you're going to be disappointed. I do think the colors might all tie together... but that specific scarezone isn't Chinese New Year. This has been discussed before, I think on this thread - the pictures will be clues to houses. 8 cards, 8 houses. The picture is from a room of a house... which we suspect to be Tent 1. =)
  21. I would imagine the lack of the "e" at the end of the name is important, to differentiate Lady Elizabeth from some famous people with a similar name. I would venture to guess she's an original character, not something you'll find in a google search.
  22. Not to step on JWFearman's toes, but I fear he's busy at work and I want to make sure you guys have the new clue: Había cuatro naves y se fue de España; Navegó por el sol, el viento y la lluvia. Tres barcos continuaron explorando, Pero, ¿qué pasó con el número cuatro?
