  1. Dr. Jimmy, you are KILLING me with your inside knowledge! I want to knoooooow. *pouts*
  2. Aaaahhh! Ok, I finally see it! Thanks! And yes, I meant the actual lantern. It's obviously Jack in the flame.
  3. Ok - I can see the Director's profile and the flashlight now... but I still just can't seem to get the clown face that everyone is seeing. Is it a profile? Straight on? I feel like I'm playing one of those 3D pictures where everyone can find the image but me!
  4. This has already been discovered, discussed, and picked over many times. Probably over at the Web site update thread instead of this one.
  5. Yeah, but you can't deny what seems to be the Caretaker's watch or the Storyteller's glasses. Especially now that their faces are jumping out from those locations. The rest of the suggestions I don't really see (the flashlight, for example), but the previous two are obvious.
  6. Man, that original RUN house must of been terrifying. It's sad at time that HHN has gotten too big to create houses like this in the future. I've been to a Haunted House in the Denver theme park Elitch Gardens during their fright fest in 2008 (my desperate attempt at feeling better about not being able to make it to HHN that year), and it was terrifying because they sent us in 6 at a time. That meant plenty of free space, and I really was running to keep up with the group of teenage girls I'd been sent in with so I wouldn't be alone! It was a huge difference from the comfort of having someone in front and behind at HHN. I've only had that experience once at HHN during a rainy night when the park was nearly deserted. I can only imagine how scary it must have been to have the possibility of getting lost!
  7. I'm not sure why the faces are contorted, but perhaps the new icon is torturing our icons by keeping them in his lantern? Someone has already mentioned this theory with a little more detail earlier in this thread. Anyway - read back through the threads or read the thread about Bloody Mary's copyright please. That question has been asked/answered a million times on these forums.
  8. Oh wow - what a cool find! Good catch! VERY intriguing...
  9. Hmmm... that fourth image is intriguing. I just can't place it! And with all the casting clues and now Cody's hints, I'm convinced the Jaws house will belong to Cindy. Now, I just have no idea anything that's happening in any of the other houses or scarezones! hahaha
  10. I sure hope not. I, for one, hated the RUN maze from 2006. It was so forgettable to me that all I remember doing is waiting in line for it. I also am not crazy for the super gory houses (Leave It to Cleaver is the exception), so I guess to each their own!
  11. So I absolutely had a dream last night that I'd been cast and was getting ready to go through rehearsals at my house (which was the Disaster house, btw). It was so fun! I think this means I've been spending too much time on these forums between reading the speculation and wishing I lived in Florida to audition this year! hahaha
  12. When I was in college, I typically attended HHN twice a year - once with my fiance and perhaps a few friends, completely sober, and a second time with the co-ed Honor Fraternity Phi Sigma Pi, of which I am now an alum. My fiance doesn't drink due to a history of alcoholism in his family, so I never drink around him. However, during that second trip with college friends I would definitely go nuts on the drinking. I have some HILARIOUS stories from visiting HHN drunk - I rarely drink, so they are some of the best drunken stories in my arsenal. Really, I think the event is enjoyable both ways, with separate perks. While sober, the scares are that much more real. Plus, you remember every little detail of the houses. Downside: You are annoyed with all of the drunks and teenagers in line with you. While tipsy, the houses become a little funnier, mainly because you're laughing at your friends for getting scared in front of you. Or your friend goes through Caste Vampyr creating her own blinking cup rave completely oblivious to vampires trying to suck her blood, to the point where even the scareactors laugh. Or you make friends with an employee working E.T. who helps you cut the line because you're three cute college girls and you have to chug your drink (again) and actually get scared on E.T. Seriously, that ride is terrifying when not sober. I actually still have that employee's phone number in my contact list as "Awesome Andrew." Plus we made a ton of friends in line, instead of being annoyed with the drunks - they became our new best friends! Downside: Having a drunken friend chase after a zombie in a scarezone thus separating your group, so that it takes 15 minutes to find everyone again while dodging other zombies. This eliminates your buzz, but does make the scarezone that much more real! I definitely had some of the times of my life while drinking at HHN, but I would only attend that way if I knew I'd have another chance to attend while sober so I could appreciate all of the houses.
  13. Hahahaa. I'm getting married Oct. 2 and we're having a joint bachelor/bachelorette party at HHN the night before! HHN fanatics think alike =)
  14. Love that you point out the reference to Buffy. I always thought the Body Collectors looked exactly like the guys from the Buffy ep (one of the best/most creepy episodes of the series!), but never had a chance to have it confirmed because I missed both HHNs that happened to feature them! Ugh! I think you're right though - it's normal to expect houses with some basis from pop culture. We just shouldn't be expecting a blatant tribute like we've had in previous years. And that sounds just fine to me!
  15. Yeah, especially the SAs who "anonymously" tipped their roles that have NUMBERS attached to them! Pretty sure that's easy to identify! I could be wrong, since I've never been an SA, but it seems like Con Artist #13 is pretty specific.
  16. I think that's exactly why. People are trying to connect the dots using references they know, either movies or previous houses. It's just easier to do than try to figure out an original house theme based off a van/possble garage! LOL. I do like the idea of it being a period house though - could lend for some really cool/different scenes in the rooms!
  17. Congrats!!! Keep us posted whenever you're allowed on where you'll be stationed! I can't wait to see people I "know" in houses this year!
  18. Nope - you're not the only one! Funny - I got scared half to death by a wolf in the forest too! We were going reaaaaallllly slowly through that opening scene and nothing was happening, so the suspense was building. I KNEW there had to be SAs scattered in the trees so I was trying to look everywhere and spot one. JUST before I made it into the cabin, a wolf came running out and got right in my face. I jumped out of my skin, even though I'd been expecting it. Darn it! hahaha
  19. Ahhh.. you were one of the Jasons! I'm not an easy scare, but I'm a tiny 5'4" girl usually leading my 6'2" big guy of a fiance (he likes me to go first so he can laugh when I do get scared... such a gentleman ), so I get targeted quite a bit because I look like an easy mark. We went through the Friday the 13th house first because there was no wait, which meant there was still light in the rooms. To me, this actually made it feel more like a Camp! Anyway, I came around a corner and spotted a huge Jason way down a hallway. He spotted me too - and came charging up the hallway at me. Even though I'd seen him, he was so huge that he was still able to scare me! Come on - Huge guy carrying a machete! How can you not be scared? For other scares: HHN 2001 - My first trip I was that stereotypical high school girl who was afraid of everything. I went to HHN with a group of friends without really knowing what it was, so I wasn't prepared. The chainsaw guys got me a million times (back when they were all over the place) and I remember the Midway of the Bizarre in Amity being terrifying. But - my best memory was a group of us heading to the bathroom, which happened to be behind a scarezone. We thought we were safe, but we were tip-toeing through anyway - suddenly a SA wearing a mask spotted us and came tearing after us. We screamed SO loudly. LOL. HHN 2003-2006, nothing that impressive. HHN 2007 - Had some great scares here and there (as mentioned) but my favorite moment was witnessing a scare of other guests. The fiance and I were going through Psychoscarepy Home for the Holidays behind a group of three young girls. We entered the kitchen scene, where there was one SA with a knife slamming the ground, and another with a severed arm dragging it on the ground. The girls froze and tried to run backwards, but we were right behind them. They huddled together in a corner and the SAs continued taunting them getting closer and closer, until finally one of the house employees called the SAs off in order to keep the lines flowing. Of course, the girls tore off running, which gave the Fiance and I some great scares after since we were the first ones heading through the rooms. I remember the girl with the turkey in the next room coming right up in my ear and saying: "HAVE SOME TURKEY!" hahaha. Also - a Nightmare on Elm Street - I've always been scared of Freddy. I was really reluctant to do this house, but went anyway because I'm a trooper. In one of the rooms, I happened to push through the plastic sheets right as a Freddy was going for a scare on the girl in front of me. This meant I collided with his claws - he slinked away into the darkness, but I will never forget accidently feeling Freddy's claws! *shudder* HHN 2009 - We hit Leave it to Cleaver first thing with 0 wait, which meant we were in the house pretty much on our own. This meant pretty much every scareactor went after ME. I loved it so much, we headed back and visited it one more time right before the park closed. DRACULA - My only REAL scare last year - a bride popped out of the wall when I least expected it and scared me half to death. Although this wasn't a scare, it was a highlight of my trip - I'm a HUGE Shaun of the Dead fan. So when we entered the bar scene, and I saw the set, I squealed with delight. Like I said, I'm not an easy scare, so a couple of the SAs saw my delight and tried to take advantage but it was no use - I was too excited! On the way out of the room, an SA playing Shaun's friend saw me dancing to the Queen song and came up and starting dancing with me with his Xbox controller. We were laughing hysterically and it was a great memory. Oh - and I know I made some SA's night in Wolfman. In the end scene with the wolf on the bungee, an SA yelled "GET DOWN!" and had a gun pointed at the wolf. He was convincing, and I ducked for my life! I'm sure he was laughing about that later.
  20. Just a question for you veteran SAs I just thought of...Back in 2007, I had the chance to go to HHN more than once. During my second trip, I wanted to take friends to Psychoscarepy Home for the Holidays, but when we approached, the House was closed. I always wondered what would cause them to actually CLOSE a house? I can't think of anything portion of HftH that would have been "technical difficulties." So would you have any answers from experience on what may have caused the closure?
  21. It's official - I am in full HHN obsession mode.

  22. Dr. Jimmy, I was one who actually really liked the idea of that event. But that's mainly because the timing of this year... and using Halloween Horror Nights to celebrate the night before my own event on October 2 =)
  23. I've heard (possibly on this forum, even) that they were installing nets onto Rip, Ride in order to allow it to run during HHN (it goes over quite a few of the Soundstage queues). They were test running it last year while we were waiting in line for Dracula - it was torture! haha. Should be interesting to see if they decide to keep it running.
  24. This was the first year I actually went into a Haunted House - I'd been to HHN in 2001, 2003 and 2004, but had been too chicken to go into any houses! I just did scarezones and rides before that! Finally I worked up the nerve in 2006 and became an addict. We didn't get to do very many houses in 2006 - we went on a really busy night. But I remember loving the All-Nite Die In, the Psycho house. We also went into Run and the People Under the Stairs - wish I'd skipped those and gone to Psychoscarepy instead - I LOVED, LOVED, LOVED that house in 2007, so I'm sure the one in 2006 was great too!
  25. I only created an account in order to post in protest of the deletion, so that wouldn't really effect me, but I get your point. Such a shame that its being run by people with no sense.
