I'm so excited about both announcements, i think TCM was a great house at 26 and i wasn't able to experience Brides or Tooth last year because of travel restrictions so at this point Universal could give me anything and i'd be over the moon. What does everyone think about all the preview merch?

Hello all!! I have no idea what’s going on this year. I’m an essential worker so work has kept me too busy to keep up, then my husband’s idiotic coworker came into work for a solid week after being exposed to the virus. Told absolutely no one until the day before he got his test results which were positive!
My husband tested positive (he has asthma). Had symptoms, they never got too bad. I tested negative once and my second test results are still not in. I’ve been an anxiety riddled bundle of quarantined joy since the day after my birthday.
Anyone wanna catch me up on this year?
Sorry to hear this, i really hope you're both okay! Nothing too much has been said so still just a lot of speculation at this point. Universal have just released hotel & ticket packages and it mentions Express as well as R.I.P Tours on their website, so it looks as if we could potentially start getting some announcements soon! https://orlando.halloweenhorrornights.com/site/hhn/products/package

Unless it has to do with a spoiler for the new movie, why would Invisible Man be considered too offensive?
I think it would be because of the domestic abuse theme - i could be wrong though

This is a major reason why I don't want any more houses. Because it feels like more and more things are becoming "problematic." The more houses they have to make, the more topics they have to cover, which works directly in opposition with fewer topics that won't offend someone.
That said, Invisible Man has been considered by some as too offensive and that's being floated as a possibility now. I think people aren't giving it enough credit for potential as a house, depending on how creative they're allowed to get with it (it IS a Universal property after all)--imagine an entire house that relies on sensory effects, similar to the Graveyard Games tunnel. Can we agree that that would at least be something new and unique?
I always was such a hater on the idea of Invisible Man having a house, but when you compare it to the Graveyard Games tunnel and really think about how it could be effective through just sensory, i'm honestly down. Your comparison has changed my views!

Here in Kentucky everything considered non-essential is being closed. Still logging on to this website at least every weekday to see if anything is going on.
Same here in England - we're on total lock down! Hope you guys are all okay & keeping safe

Anyone Else see the new Ifrit post?
"Rumor says that we may face Weeds
A raft where an oil slick feeds
The dead awaken from their sleep
And panic comes, when they creep"
Creepshow?
I think Creepshow too, and i hope so because the characters would be so cool in a house.

My personal opinion is that I hope they don't theme the lagoon show around Billie Eilish, i really enjoyed MoM last year and it seems such a shame to turn something as amazing as it was into a teenage attraction.

Nightingales was very out there with the smell but I remember the poop smell from Dollhouse very well and of course the smell of burning flesh in Roanoke that same year, those definitely stayed with me during that event, I couldn't get away from that smell in those houses lol also remembered the same with Interstellar Terror with the scareactor injecting two electric tubes into himself and you smell burning flesh as you pass by him.
I will never be able to get the Dollhouse smell out of my nose, so bad

I'll join in with my top 10! Got back to the UK last Sunday & did HHN 4 times whilst we were in Orlando. I'll start with houses...
1. Universal Monsters
2. Nightingales: Blood Pit
3. Graveyard Games
4. House of 1000 Corpses
5. Yeti: Terror of the Yukon
6. Us
7. Ghost Busters
8. Depths of Fear
9. Killer Klowns
10. Stranger Things
I do think its worth saying though that every house was incredible in their own right, i loved the whole set design in Stranger Things and also in KKFOS but they just weren't my favourite. For scarezones...
1. Rob Zombie's Hellbilly Deluxe
2. Vanity Ball
3. Zombieland
4. Anarchade
5. Vikings Undead
I think if they had put Vikings in a different location i would have enjoyed it much more, i love the design but always use it as a walk through and it always seems so busy. I know the same could be said for Rob Zombie, but the energy and the performances (Living Dead Girl in particular) were so energetic and i honestly just loved the vibe so much. I think its so interesting seeing where everyone else ranks their houses & scarezones and just goes to show how great the event really is when something that's number 1 on one persons list can be number 10 on someone else's. Hope everyone attending enjoys their last few nights!!

My thoughts to especially since KKFOS is a passion IP for the team. But yea I agree was surprised at the lukewarm and negative response to KKFOS as I also recalled the scare zone being loved last year, I sure found it to be my highlight from last year, and so was surprised at the response.
Me too! I'm really looking forward to it though
