That is an awesome shot.
Thanks, I got lucky, You guys were surrounding us by the cage, and I just snapped a quick shot and was really surprised with the results.
Idk if you remember me, I had a Homer Simpson doll in my sweater. I didnt call you by name, nor use the "secret attack" word. I just wandered aimlessly and snapped pictures.

I think HHNH should look into queue videos like HHNO. I know not all mazes @ HHNO have them, But some do, all they would have to do it project it onto a blank wall, or hang some canvas. And seeing as how 90% of our houses are movie bases, all they would have to do is make a montage of that movie(s). Bam done.
-
Come on now, I like creative scares. I see no reason for The Flasher to be cut. Not all scares outside of mazes should be weapons being swung, chainsaws being revved, sliders popping up, things getting banged, and cans getting shaken. The flasher was also funny!
I couldnt have said it better myself. BRING BACK THE FLASHER.
-
Why isnt "Burn down HoH" an option? LOL. But in all seriousness, DRASTICALLY changing HoH should be the first option. Forgot to mention, THE FLASHER. Bring him back next year. Give the pigs the axe and bring back the Flasher, and maybe some other Hollywood stars that are "zombified." It could be its own SZ.
And I mentioned this in the other thread, but how bout some queue videos? Make a montage of wtvr horror movie that house is based on and project it onto a bare wall, or hang some canvas and project it onto there.

Sorry it took me so long, here are a few of my favorite shots from Thurs 10/21:
This ones for Trev, 5 Freakz in one shot, SCORE!
Totally saw this same exact shot on the FB page 2 days later, Guess I'm not as original as I thought lol.
I still have a lot more that I'll post later.

I love how we have hoodies our 5th year, and HHNO has been beggin for them for years. But IMHO theyre not great, all it says is "Halloween Horror Night 2010" on the front.
-
Freakz & Klownz definetly own this year! Fish girl is still my wifey.
-
Trev, I didnt know you are the only one playing Lizard boy. Ive seen you quite a few times then.
Oh and I saw some slider trap these girls in the phone booth on Baker Street, He even jumped into th phone booth with them, it was hilarious.

Electro, if you're going late into the event, GO ON A WEEKDAY. I can't stress it enough. Sundays, people have all day to sit around and do nothing until about 11 or 12 when it's time to go home and call it a night. Thursdays, people have to get off work and then go to bed early for the next day, making it the least crowded day between 7 - 9 and 12 - 2.
I had already gone opening night, and Thurs the 21st, and even that Thurs was pretty packed. The only reason I had an AMAZING time that Thurs night was because we took our friend who works for USH and was able to get us FOTL for every maze. Didnt wait for anything all night.
-
So this maze REALLY sucked last night, Not because of the talent, and not because its a repeat; But because they were having technical difficulties. The music wasnt on, the sound FX didnt work, nor did a lot of the lighting FX. My friends and I were literally the last one to walk thru, and while the scareactors tried, it just wasnt there. Its funny how UNscary mazes become when theres no loud music, sound fx, and lighting fx.

Last night was HORRIBLE. Not because of the rain, But because of the crowds. I never go to HHN this late in the event, and now I know why. Waits were up to 110 minutes. And of course the weather didnt help. I just read today that last night sold out, so it all made perfect sense. I was only able to do HOTC, NOES, and Saw, before calling it a night @ 10:30. I just couldnt hang with the weather and crowds. But def hit HOTC first and the upper lot mazes before heading down to Saw, and I would leave TT for later because waits are never longer than 45 minutes.
-
Glad I got to go thru this again and see more of the skims (skrims? wtvr theyre called) in effect. Overall, still the same as opening night. Got ZERO scares they kept scaring my friends in front of me
-
This maze wasnt as fun the second time around, But it was still fun. At one point we walked in as Jason was resetting and putting the head back on a dummy; My friend and I laughed and I said "Haha hes putting the head back on the dummy!" Then he turned around and scared the **** out of us lol.
-
Just be glad you didn't have to see 'Fear Factor Live: Dead Celebrity Edition' in 06. That show makes any year of Bill and Ted seem amazing in comparison.
Ha I saw that show.
But yes this years B&T is awesome! And HOTT!
-
Finally got around to doing this house last night, And I'm so glad I didnt waste any time on opening night waiting for it. This was a major FAIL IMHO. No offense to the scareactors, they tried. But we know this maze all too well, we know where the boo holes are, hell I could walk this maze with my eyes closed and not bump into a wall. Although I will admit that the Turned Priest costume was amazing, as well as few others. But HoH really needs a COMPLETE redo.
-
Went again last night. This maze is still top dog. Although it wasnt as scary as the first time, Most likely because I knew what to expect. Just really worried that because this maze is so popular, its a def return for next year
And I kept my glasses this time
-
Yes Creep, from opening night to last night the smell in Saw has def been toned down. Other than that, no improvements have been made, still the same stale maze it was opening night.
No offense to any of the scareactors in there, god knows you tried, But I think we're all tired of Saw.

Lunaticz was freaking awesome with those strobe lights and the thick fog. I couldn't even see where I was going! Plus Freakz was awesome.
I loved the fact that even in the "dead areas", there were a couple of roaming Chucky soldiers in front of the Animal Actors show and a hidden bushman by Shrek. That's something Orlando hasn't done!
Yes the fog and strobe lights are an amazing effect on Baker Street.
I too was surprised to see some Doll Soldiers and even a bush man by Animal Actors. NICE touch Murdy.
But I have to say that after last night Klownz has become my absolute favorite SZ. They are simply amazing and agressive. My friends and I were standing by a bin watching them scare people. I dont have a phobia of clowns but I do find them creepy, the stilt walking Harlequin however I find pretty fucking scary. So I was watching someone get scared when he ran up to me and scared me, I ran, he chased. I finally stopped and he took my Homer Simpson doll my friend won for me, and placed it on top of the school bus. He would not give it back, he was insisting it was his, and laughed when I attempted to get it. So he challenged me to a thumb war to get it back, I lost and he laughed. So I challenged him again, and he totally cheated, But eventually gave it back to me. He definetly made my night, and gave me one final scare as we walked toward La Llorona.
Not to leave out my other favorite, Freakz. I finally got a picture of my girlfriend Fish girl <3 shes pretty amazing. But the stilt walker was hilarious. Dog boy seemed to have a thing for my friend, and goat boy, and the chicken guy looked amazing! I'm assuming they have something that makes the animal noises for them? Because they sounded perfect.
-
Aside from Chucky's army, TT is still disappointing. Althought La Llorona got my friends really good when walking by the burned down house.
-
Idk Creep I went last night too, I saw wait times up to 65 and 70 min. 70 for Saw & 65 for HOTC. That was around 12:45. But the crowds were fairly light, they opened up early and let every in. Although HoH wasnt open till 7:30 I was finally able to go thru was disappointed. Aside from that HHN was amazing last night.
This is my first year attending with a FFP, and I have to say I LOVE going later in the month to see little improvements and how much the scareactors have embraced their roles.
-
Took a lot of pics last night. I'll upload them soon.
-
A chimichanga is a fried burrito. I didnt eat one @ HHN but have had one. They also have them @ Disney.
-
Going tomorrow night & Sunday night, I hope it doesnt rain.

Can anyone tell me the name of the song that plays on the stairway that goes, "Halloween! Halloween!" It's rather fast-paced and has a slight modern rockabilly flair to it. I love listening to it while moving to and from the lower lot. <3
On a side note, it's funny to hear the stairway telling you to shut the hell up.
Funny I found this thread today, I just remembered this tonight. It was hilarious. I was like "sshhh sshh listen to what hes saying"
Maze & Scarzone Of The Year
in Halloween Horror Nights Hollywood 2010
Posted
Thank you for clarifying that Freak. Just because we vote one maze & scarezone popular, DOES NOT mean it should return next year.
Btw its spelled LA LLORONA. I keep seeing it mispelled everywhere on this forum, once again LA LLORONA.
