Not to be a downer, But HoH overlays NEVER work out. It always feels like they just throw characters into HoH. Prove me wrong Murdy!
-
I am very optimistic about this maze. Last year it stunk as a SZ, But I think it could def work as a house. We are finally getting what we asked for, ORIGINALITY; And I couldnt be more pleased.

Hey guys. Just thought I'd pop my head in to add my two cents to the mix. I found this video on Halloween Blues' blog.
These kids think they have confirmed that HOTC will return. I neither agree nor disagree.
-
... I think they're just fine. And the videos of Orlando's that I've seen don't make them seem any better. Eh.
I think a mod should move this thread to General Hollywood.
Or better yet LOCK this thread since no one has posted anything in months, and this could have easily been posted in another thread.

I highly doubt Murdy was there, unless he went after HHN was over. Hes always out and about during our event. But thats beside the point, did I miss spec on the house code named "soap opera?" If not, ideas?
-
I dont see them skiping any of the movies honestly there most likely gonna do all 4
Thats true and untrue. If anything they'll use small elements from 2 & 3. They didn't have too many USE-ABLE environments. I see 1 being a bigger part of it, as well as 4.
Maybe they will. I haven't seen the original Nightmare on Elm Street maze, but from what I understand, they incorporated all of the major scenes very well. If they do incorporate all the major scenes, I'm sure they'll reuse props for the high school; especially if this maze ends up in the Shrek queue. YOU THEY WILL.
The original NOES was horrible. Home Sweet Hell was much better and thats the one that included elements from all the films.

OMW (Om my word). I just saw a picture they posted on the FB page for Scream 4. The image showed a bloddied hanging body in a living room with the words, written in blood, above the fire place: "What's your favorite scary movie?" To me, that has maze potential written all over it. Just looking at it, I can just picture walking through there with Ghostface jumping out at me. >
Dude, just saw it. And it looks amazing! Def has the potential to be a scene in a house.

Would FOTL pass be an issue if we had a FFP and attended the event 3 nights? We are usually able to do everything in one night in Orlando without any passes during 'Hell week' when all schools are out and it's packed. If not one night, certainly two nights with doubling back on the houses as well.I'm fairly certain we will stay in the same hotel for the entire stay so we don't over complicate things. We may not be able to make it to Knott's due to the distance then. Do they have any special shuttles or commuting options to get there? Doubtful, but thought I'd ask. I can't imagine an hour long taxi ride to be cheap either
Through Universal's site I was able to get a price of $1450 for the Sheraton hotel. It's about .2 miles from Universal so that's perfect. Much more reasonable. After looking around at ticket options on Uni's site I got an idea. They have a "Starline Tours of Hollywood - hop on, hop off" ticket for $29. It goes to Knott's. So, I'm thinking, we could take that tour and hit Knott's for an entire day and then taxi back depending on rates in the area. Seems like a great way to save a few bucks on getting there plus take in some sights en route.Thoughts?
You wont need a FOTL if you're attending multiple nights. You'll def hit EVERYTHING within 3 nights, and can do so within one night if planned properly.
I would def take that tour bus down to Knotts for a day and night of fun. BUT that taxi ride back to your hotel sounds pricey. Idk. I def think Knotts is worth your time, just not too sure about that taxi ride back to the hotel.

I plan on doing both events for my 21st bday celebration :] :] I figured "what better way to ring in such a big birthday but partying as hard as I can?" And what better way to part then at HHN??? lol
YES! Just keep in mind we are a DRY event here in Hollywood. So if you want to get your drink on, do so BEFORE HHN @ one of the many nice establishments @ City Walk. Just do us all a favor and don't get obnoxiously drunk
-
We also seem to have more people coming from the East to see our event. Our baby event is growing, dare I say "crawling."
-
Just to add to what DTH said, I would recommend getting a FOTL pass. I went opening night last year and had to skip a maze, not to mention the fact that we rarely get on the rides or see shows with the exception of B&T. As for hotels, I've never stayed @ the Universal Sheraton but $2500 sounds way too expensive for 2 people. Definitely look around, maybe just stay there while attending HHN, and if you decide to hit KSF (which I recommend, simply for the fact that it so different from BOTH HHN's AND quantity of mazes) stay at a hotel in Buena Park close to KSF, and it wont be such long trip to Disney (should you choose to visit)

Doubt it. Wasn't received well by the GP.
By the way, welcome to the site ThatBoyIsAMonster! That almost sounds like the name of some screamo band. lol
nothing could be further from the truth. its a quote from a lady gaga song.

Wow, Spec is starting to pick up again. I love that the TrT fan page is taking initiative on FB and posting its trailer on the HHNH fan page. I haven't looked that page over in so long, its full of bullshit.
-
what do you mean?
Mark arm? hmmmm that one is tuff
Sorry should have been more specific, Meaning they didnt tear the structure (maze) down. So it was self explanitory that Saw was a returning maze.
-
TrT is the most logical right now and we did know about SAW at this point
Yeah but thats mostly due to the fact that they didnt take ANYTHING down.
-
I'm VERY skeptical on those mazes. While I wouldnt mind either of those, theres no way Murdy would release maze names this early. We never get any solid info earlier than August, let alone March!
-
well too continue on from the last time. yes a custom event would save the park millions instead of investing in different properties.
the park needs more decoration, and festivities.
longer hours and more days.
more actors.
and a way better improvements too the terror tram.
and they should desperately lay off the chucky and his army theme for awhile. wasn't even scary.
Agreed. But I did love the Chucky army costumes, they were pretty much amazing, But I def DONT want to see them again, at least not for a while.
-
Well Murdy just posted on Twitter that as an added measure the houses will have code names this year.
And he released the first code name which is "GV Black"
-
Huh... Not sure how I missed it. Where was it played?
On the escalators to the lower lot. BTW Twisted Transistor by Korn, hell yes.
Also I want to submit Spin Me Round redone by Dope. Go listen its pretty amazing and could totally hear it @ HHN.
-
I was disappointed not to hear Dragula by Rob Zombie this year. And no Thriller?
Another vote for: Twisted Transistor - KoRn
Dragula was played. Its normally a remixed version. As for Thriller, I dont think theyve ever played it. I wouldnt be opposed to it though.
MonsTer-lady gaga
I dont think Murdy would ever play Gaga @ HHN unless it was part of B&T or some sick joke. (not that I hate her)

I'm back! (for now) WOW. 20 pages of wishful thinking!? Theres no way I'm gonna sift through all that. Can someone just give me a recap of whats in the lead?
-
I'm gone for a few weeks and Freak & Grind are mods!? Congrats guys, we finally have some HHNH mods.
-
Wow, Ive been gone about a month and I return to zombie bickering?! Truly disappointed lol. But if I'm not mistaken the Grinch taking over the Mummy tunnel is JUST an overlay. Dont quote me though.

I love how Anu always finds the best gifs to express how she is feeling.
I second that.
No Frequent Fear Pass This Year!

I am very upset that there is no pass being offered (as of yet). But I also understand that at the end of the USH is a business, and devoted fans or not, they have to make money off this event. I just hope they will offer it still.
