Okay, So I read it like you asked. And am still semi confused, LOL. Just PM me.
-
I could def see them bringing Psychoscarepy to HHNH, And I personally would love it. I loved the Asylum in 06, it scared the hell out of me anyway.
But what I hate is that Uni isnt even willing to TRY an original concept for a maze. Yes the big names and big movies are what bring people in, But why not use those names and titles to reel them in and then slap then with AT LEAST one original maze!? Just my opinion.
-
Sorry, But I hate coming back to find like 5 new posts, and they all say "No PR yet WTF?!" or "When are we gonna get an update?!" or my personal favorite: "Its already (insert day of the week) and still no update!"
Not to sound like a dick, But all you guys are doing is spamming the boards; and it makes other people think theyre missing out on, oh idk...... SPECULATION. So please stop posting every day saying that there is no update. What would be useful is Spec and someone posting useful info.
/rant.

Guys, Like I've said before. Uni does this every damn year. They say they'll give us an update on a certain day and then keep postponing it. Why are we acting like this is our first HHN!?
-
As I was reading, I was thinking, OMG they were right! Hahaha. Until I got to Zoolander. Good one.
-
How are the auditions to become a scareactor? What do you have to do to become a scareactor in a maze? Please give details whoever knows the answers to these questions. Thank you very much.
Oh, and cananyone give any tips on how to do great at an audition.
From what I've heard from Scareactors on the Vault, They say to give it your all and be very outgoing. Go big or go home basically.
-
Like I said before, Uni ALWAYS lags with the updates on the site. Why should this year be any different? We're gonna get an update soon, and you'll all be disappointed; just like it is every year. We just need to play the waiting game and be optimistic. Until then go watch some horror movies
-
I would imagine that scareactors have to be at the park AT LEAST one hour prior to opening. To get their costumes and make up done. Although I'm sure with all the scareactors they hire they probly require you to be there 2 hours prior. Thats just an educated guess, I'm no scareactor.
-
Wait, so how was it confirmed that we're having 5 mazes?
And, I honestly wouldnt mind having a Scream maze. I love those movies. And I think a room full of those costumes would make a great scene.
-
behind Waterworld, the front gate, New York Street, and Shrek 4d its Huge and holds the actual Shrek Queue Maze
So its where The Asylum, NOES, and MBV have been?
-
Ok thanks i was confused by the way he phrased it
HOH=Wolfman then
Fucking HILARIOUS!
I'm having a n00b moment here, where is Gibson Lawn?
-
also to post whether be true or not. go to google search bar. type in halloween horror nights. and click the news tab. and scroll down to universal studios amps up the scare ante. pretty interesting news. sounds like hollywoods event is finally is competing with orlando's event this year.
all in all sounds like this year might be the motherbird of them all. i can't wait only 3 or 4 more months. cause the media can squeeze out information that other people can't get.
Heres a link to that article:
http://travel.latimes.com/daily-deal-blog/index.php/universal-studios-ho-7109/
How do they have the dates when Uni hasnt even released them yet? If these dates are correct, we're getting a few extra nights! As many nights as USO HHN if I'm not mistaken.
AANNDD according to the article TT will make a stop @ Kong!!?? As much as I wanna believe all of this, I have to say "I'll believe it when I see it."
[great find gasmaskman!]

"Phrenology (from Greek: φρήν, phrēn, "mind"; and λόγος, logos, "knowledge") is a hypothesis stating that the personality traits of a person can be derived from the shape of the skull. It is now considered a pseudoscience. Developed by German physician Franz Joseph Gall in 1796,[1] the discipline was very popular in the 19th century. The principal British centre for phrenology was Edinburgh, where the Edinburgh Phrenological Society was established in 1820. In 1843, François Magendie referred to phrenology as "a pseudo-science of the present day."[2] Phrenological thinking was, however, influential in 19th-century psychiatry and modern neuroscience."
From Wikipedia. Just thought it might help in the spec of these characters.

*Update*
Murdy Just Tweet a Sample of Character names
"Timmy Tumor" "Burny" "LockJob" "Coop" "Phrenology Phranc"
So sounds like a hospital theme to me so what do you guys think? Maze or SZ?
For some reason after reading that tweet, I assumed he was talking about a SZ, it didnt dawn on me till now that the people inside the mazes are also called scaractors *facepalm* But I think I'll go with my gut reaction and say its a SZ, Because last year thats all he would leak was SZ concepts. (Aside from the MBV drawings he leaked later in the Summer) But I say its a SZ because I dont think he'd give away any hints of a house yet. Just my 2 cents.
-
They do this EVERY year with the updates guys, you'd think we'd be used to it by now, but nooo. LOL.
Murdy recently posted that hes working on audio for the houses, But he wont tell how many mazes there are this year. I really think we may have 6 this year seeing as how hes being so vague. That or he just wants to be a tease!
But back on topic, I agree that the space in between Shrek 4D and TT needs to be utilized.
And "mutant insects!?" Thats scary, I hate bugs!
-
Okay,
NLC - Out!
09 mazes - Out!
Wolfman - Maybe
I'm really excited for this year, I cannot wait for an update.
And yes Freak, it is nice to have spec back in full swing, seeing as how it is almost Summer. Can you imagine Summer w/o a site to do our speculating on!!?? *gasp*
-
I think it will since it will be extended this year.
According to Screamscape, it seems like HHN Orlando construction has already started! I don't think it should be that long before that PR comes out...COME OUT ALREADY!
According to John Murdys Twitter, Our construction begins after the fourth of July.
Hmmm... I predict the tram will go through the lawn towards the Great Outdoors country house. That's just some prediction at the top of my head.
That was something I had posted on the Vault, def hoping that happens, theres sooo much space behind that cabin.
-
Terror Tram is definetly one thing we have over Orlando. Although IMO it can be amped up a little. I'm just sayin.
-
Couldnt agree more with everything! While I do enjoy the movie themed mazes, I'm dying for some orginal concepts like 2006's "The Asylum." I loved that maze, and it was scary as hell IMO.
As for the chainsaws I too find them to be obnoxious. I never found them scary, just really annoying, especially when theres 3 SZ that contain them. And lets not forget about that gut wrenching smell. I can understand ONE SZ containing them, or maybe even a CDT, But anymore than that is just ridiculous.
-
I would want to see them all come back again as well, but I do agree with you... in the crowd of slasher-fan kids and young adults, the classics would be seen as a waste of time. There's most likely only a very small percentage of people that still like Universal's monsters and would appreciate it, but the rest would want the violent films they're used to. Looking at the HHNH Facebook every often, I've seen things like Scream, Hellraiser, NOES, among others being mentioned.. even some of those being repeated time and time again on the Vault.
But if there's one thing that Ripped from the Silver Screen showed me, is that even the old-timers can still be amped up to keep up with the newer creatures.
So yes, the classic monsters should be given their time to shine... and not just in the House of Horrors but in mazes of their own. I know the Creature from the Black Lagoon musical wasn't favored by a lot, especially some of the Vaulters, but it gave me a bit of optimism and I'd like to see him come back if even in a maze or a scarezone... although, missing that weird hair-like growth they gave him...
(And just for the heck of it, dust off the costume and use it as a meet-and-greet character for normal park hours year round too. If Dracula, Frankenstein's monster, or even a Mummy can be one what's wrong with a Gill-man, or Wolfman?)
Totally agree! And I cringe everytime I read what the GP writes on the HHNH FB page. While I do like SOME of the movies they mention, about 95% of it "bring back Freddy" or "The TCM maze was dope, bring it back!" Please people, we had those characters TWO YEARS IN A ROW! Let them RIP.
Sounds like we're getting more scarezones this year. Hopefully the park won't have so many dead spaces like in the years past.
Couldnt agree more, theres so much dead space that could be utilized.
-
I know this was brought up on the Vault, BUT I really would like to see all the classics come back. (I.E. Dracula, Frankenstein, etc.) Like what HHNO did last year. Make them scary again. But I dont think the GP here would respond well to that. Just a thought.
-
We have a few scaractors on the Vault, But I dont think theyve made their way over here yet. I would imagine you would need to be 18+ as Megz said; Due to the late hours.
-
Still havent seen the Wolfman. I wouldnt mind him having his own maze. They seriously need to "re vamp" HoH; its really tired.
Thanks for the welcoming guys.

Same here Wix, seeing as how the Vault is down. I guess we'll have to get our HHN fix here. This is going to take some getting used to.
