Guess we were right all along about the whole gambling theme. I mean, it is 21 after all so why brush it off like that? I think it's very likely we'll get a casino-themed house this year. The question is, what kind of approach are they going to have on it? I think we will get nine haunted houses this year judging by that 7x7 hint, but alas only four scarezones instead of six. I hope they will be descent-sized scarezones. Like we expected, the price went up to $82. Sigh.

Over in the construction thread, Madmonk has speculated that maybe they will use both sprungs for one really long maze and use the warehouse for two mazes. I moved the idea over here since I think this belongs in the speculation thread, but here's what he said: That's actually a splendid idea! The only thing is, would that cut back the number of scarezones? It would be great for them to do a house like Madmonk suggested to change things up a bit. But thebn again, 7x7=49. 4-9. Four scarezones and nine houses?

With these rumors floating around for a two-path house this year from the construction thread, I wonder if we'll have something like Frighgantic (Spelling?) this year?

I may be beating a dead horse here, but looking back at the posts of spec, I have seen one of the hints that Emeric has posted. Can't remember the exact words, but it was something along the lines of "...he (Fear) has only showed his visible soul once, but now he plans to stick around for all of the frights." and "Fear has many faces". Does this mean that the next icon could be a next face of fear? Maybe...oh....DEATH?

At least we've been given something before Emric left. I think somebody quite a few pages ago has speculated on maybe a house with alternate paths or something. That could be a possibility. Any other possible leads?

I'm probably in the minority here, but I'm just not quite ready for a sequel house to Catacombs yet. Like JW said, I would like to see it spread out a for a few years if there's going to be a complete trilogy. I hope it's something like a Norwegian mythology house on vikings or something like that.

^That would be a cool house to base a theme on, but didn't they do something like that during Tales of Terror?

From the Dictionary: (Wikipedia had too much words so I went with the dictionary it's the definition is straight-to-the-point. I always thought a viking-themed house would be cool. I wonder if this could be it. If this is so, it would be awesome to hear some Amon Amarth in the queue.

If they do have a casino house this year, hopefully it will be more colorful than dark.

I actually love the ideas you just posted. Though I like the ghost version, the only downside is that the environment would have to be dark and eerie like Legendary Truth last year, therefore not allowing the colorful flashing lights and sensory overload that would compliment a casino-themed house. In that sense, I think the vampire version would work best. As for the ghost version, I think it would be nice to use that as the sequel house (a la PsychoScarepy) for the next year. "The mafia has one owned this casino, only to have been over-taken by vampires. Now, the blood has run dry and the vampires have fled the casino and Carey, Ohio. The U.S. government has condemned the building and wishes to tear it down due to its state and gruesome history; unfortunately, the workers that have tried to demolish the place have been mysteriously murdered by what seems like evil spirits of those who have died in that former vampire-ridden casino. Now Legendary Truth is looking for some extra volunteer investigators to rid the place of evil spirits.

Speaking of a casino theme, where are the odds in Vegas of getting a maze on The Thing this year? (Bad transition, I know.) It would be awesome to have it inside of soundstage. That way, they can make it as cold as they want to, therefore allowing it to snow in there. Maybe put some wind machines in there.

Actually, now that you mentioned it, I think that would be PERFECT for Sting ally. It's small so I don't think crowds would be an issue. I guess that sort of thing would probably fit better in Hollywood or the Terror Tram; though we kind already (had) that with the sheet maze, I guess. I think it would be cool to see a Medieval-themed house that involved an inquisition theme of some sort. I don't think it has been done before and I think that would be an interesting theme for a house. Knott's had one based on the maze on Beowolf and even that looked pretty good. Imagine what HHN could do with it inside of a SS....
