House of a 1000 corpses was done at HHN Hollywood back when they had the movie but didn't release it. The house was designed by Mr Zombie himself. Of course they also did an Undertaker from the WWE house also, weird how could that not be a huge hit,,lol

Was reading something about Red Lights on here Back in the late 90's when I started going they had red Lights in all the street lamps it was very cool and spooky looking. Also back in the old days as you came in the area toward city walk they played horror movie themes, Jaws, the exorcist and such was very cool..Remember that HUSH?

IOA was way to small plus they used ques for Houses which didn't work at all way to small. 2nd No use of seuss Landing so you lost that whole area of the park. 3rd the funnel from Jurrasic Park was a nightmare way to crammed. 4th Scarectors could hardly scare in certain areas. Also what is a Greek House? Not sure of that concept what so ever.

I agree he is passionate about movies..But he is an Original Person and doing a remake of 2 Already Established franchises as a house is very strange. This is a Man who brought US Jack and worked on Shows at Both Universal and Busch. So I think he would be aimed at making a very Original House as the Center Piece of the event... Seen to much of his work to think he would go to 2 horror Franchise as a Center piece....

Wow so far as I read a lot of these things, I see Nothing Original...Is all people wants are remake of Old ideas and Movies? Also I don't see JMR wanting to make a Center Piece of NOES and FT13th, I have to Call BS on that Idea. I would think people would want to see original Houses and unique scares Not recycled ideas over and over again. Frightantic I saw a mention of was an Original concept and was 2 houses split in to 1 building Fear in First class and Carnage Crew and had the most amazing centerpiece Ever. If you want to see What HHN used to be like asked anyone who saw those days. I have seen the Original Houses That people say they Heard about and Most were as amazing as they were talked about. except the Original RUN the people who did that House will tell you if HHN did that again people would be pissed. It was all dark, with Strobe lights and Fencing, That was it no real sets just dark and flashes of Light. ScreamHouse is and Was a classic the theme fit the Event perfect the rest of the houses from HHN 12 are forgettable and rated as some of the Worst ever. Screamhouse Revisited which was done the following year was Not as good as the Original. The Original All Night Drive In was another well done if not almost perfect house were the sets flowed perfect from one Horror Icon Movie to another. Scary tales another classic that the sequel the next year didn't feel as good. The odd thing is when Universal does a 3rd version of a House they seem to better then most 2nd Versions. I want to see Universal Push the envelope and try some different things this year some new concepts and Try to start the next 20 years as a new Benchmark in originality and Horror. For the large number of you who have only found this event in the last 3-5 years it is not the event it was when they did make the park into more of a dark and scary place. It wasn't bars and shot girls and lines that were insane. They used to sell out nights and actually kicked people out who deserved to be. So lets see some Original thoughts and not rehashes.

Oct 8th Good Night Choice Yes Stay and scream, I am an annual pass holder I go early in the day ride till about noon and come back at 4 and then Hit Finnegans. Good call HHN fan on that I forget about it till closer to HHN. RIP is very pricey But I do suggest doing unmasking the Horror while your there. Express passes for the 8th should be cheaper then certain nights. I am sure a number of people on the board will be there and can help you that night.. I myself am going to be in town for Spooky Empire Horror Con and Zombie walk... so funny to read the Wish List you can see That a number of people have been coming under 5 years..I want to see a Return of 1 of my first Houses Motel Hell and a return of Museum of Horror. I don't think we will see any New Line Houses, We may but I would be surprised. I think we will see a combo of Silver Scream and All Night Drive In I hope they redo Castle Vampyre and not redo rip off version of Vampire After Hours... Michelle I am with you I would be very disappointed with a redo of HHN 16

First when are you planning on going? 2nd, Stay and scream is the best option 3rd Frequent Fear Pass depending on when your going 4th don't buy tickets at full price 5th Express Pass is a must for newbies.

Voodoo such a great theme. I would love to see something in that vain but with a twisted magician. Some were between the Movie magic and the Wizard of Gore. The tough thing with Original ideas is so much has been done it is had to figure something really original. I give HOS this last year the evil sorority house was an original idea, not scary (very hot) but it was original.

When old Houses come back there not the same. Sadly if you missed them you missed them That is part of HHN. I have done this since 97 and the houses they redo are similar but not the same. They did back to back years of Scary tales and Screamhouse and it was not the same as the originals. When they are original they have a different feel to them. If they came back and did the Houses exactly as they were the first time old timers would holler, it is a no win. Trust me when HHN has done a true original it mostly works, 15 was original in theme but the houses were just ok. I would like to see a new beginning of Icons and House just because they have done some of the same themes numerous times...

What year did they use the Zombies in New York, I think it was 16 that was the year they had the zombie Hunters on the Motorcycles. Thry had zombie hookers, Business men zombies, doorman zombies, that was done well and it was a big zone. Horror Nights Nightmares I still try to forget about how bad that house was, It had so much potential and just Flopped. It is hard to run 4 story lines together In a House with 8-10 sections it just doesn't work. If they had a similar story line and it flowed maybe. Basically it was different scenes from each Icons Commercial if I remember correct. I was so excited to do that House and was so Disappointing when I walked out.

At Hauntcon HOS did two of there haunts with a few scarectors and the lights off, it was really Cool. I am sure something like that at HHN would be a nice addition, I would enjoy that.

Eddie as a SZ, I like that Idea. and trust me that is not something I say a lot. I am not sure what they can do with the Caretaker, we have seen 3 versions of Scream House not sure how they can change it up. I think we will see The Director in another All Night Drive IN type House, Lots of Horror Movies to Work with out there. Storyteller needs to be replaced by The Terra Queen and she gets Her Motorcylcle and a Scare Zone. The Motorcycle zone at 15 was great and would work great. I really more then anything want to see something new and Inventive this year, something that people will say Wow I have never seen or Thought of that before. Trust me some of the Big Dollar Haunts do things that would blow your mind but they also have the luxury of better guest control and smaller numbers. I will bet we will see The Gentleman again in a zone, I just really think we will have either a Vampire House or scarezone. The Thing I would really like is an amazing entry zone, the last few years have been flat, I would like to see HHN really grab your attention as you walk through the gate. I am sorry if you thought Containment or The Oz zone was great IMO was dull. The last really great Entrance was at IOA with the Terra Thorne and then at 12 with the Followers of Caine al over and his video playing on the Fog.

I hope they keep Bloody Mary in That Mirror she was in, And never bring forth anything with ROF house. I like The all new idea with the Icons story being told. HHN 16 kind of just took us forward with them Going back would be a cool idea.

I agree Dead Silence was one great House, It worked perfect and funny it was from a movie that bombed at the box office. in 1998 HHN did 2 houses that ripped on Titanic, SS Fritantic and Fear in First Class very good houses and the best Entrance to a House Of all time. It had to be seen hard to even explain. We won't see anything on HHN until after WWOHP opens I think.
