So basically, if IT was making an appearance, that would've been the first announcement.

Don't blame yourself. I think the reason it's so easy to believe is because of how successful the movie was last year. If someone told me the highest grossing horror movie of all time, which released last year, is making an appearance at the most popular horror event of the year, it's easily believable.

Alrighty then, nevermind lol.

So basically, it's The Thing or Jaws. I think I've unfortunately given up hope on IT.

"A seaside town" - Not sure if this qualifies as seaside, but there is a river near Derry. "Amidst a flood of people found awashed in blood" - Might be referencing the kid disappearances? Then when they're finally found, they're dead? There was another riddle posted earlier and I really hope it's not referencing the loss of IT. IT would be great for a mega house IMO. Lots of scenes that can be recreated... Who's the person that runs the houses for HHNO? I'm still holding out hope that IT makes the cut

I am going to be EXTREMELY disappointed if IT doesn't make an appearance at HHNO. I can't possibly fathom a reason as to why there wouldn't be a house for IT. Pretty crazy how they put Insidious the last key in the blumhouse house before the movie even came out, but wouldn't have the highest grossing horror movie of all time.. Don't get me wrong, stranger things is cool but it doesn't scream "horror" to me. Universal is capitalizing off of that show's popularity and should do the same for IT. Man I hope it pulls through
