Anybody got a good guess on our first announcement?

Id love a Puppet Master maze! (hince my profile picture) Lot's of amazing scenes they could replicate, and hopefully some Animatronic work? Im just not so sure the rights are quite out there. To see the increased support and love for HHN just warms my heart. I think the event is only going to get bigger and better. Every year they always have these compeling ideas to bring our favorite films to life. The amount of fan service that goes into the event is definitely increasing slowly but surely. My main concern is, what's next? You have 10 houses and a pretty kicking stage show! More houses? Another show? IOA? Some of these suggestions may seem pretty outlandish, but the more you think about it, are they really? HHN is truely the Heart of the fall season for most of everyone on this forum and I love to see everyone in one place talking about it. I am extremely lucky to have found this forum because back 3 years ago I found myself talking Horror Nights all the time and people would look and be like "Your aware it's March right?" And after that I just thought I was crazy and it was just something I could not let go off. Eventually, I found the forum and it was reassuring that I wasn't that crazy after all xD. I think as long as HHN has a growing fanbase and party obsessed teens they will continue to make a great time for all of us. What I am trying to say is I truely appreciate the Forum. That's enough sappy shit, lets get back to the blood, gutz, and mayhem! So I came across a quite intresting video of someone having a VERY illegal Unmasking the Horror tour at Howl-O-Scream. Take a look, it's a great video.

Been going through my Horror collection recently and rewatched alot of Classics and more recent films. I rewatched SOTL and I can see it being at the event this year more then ever. There are some good scenes they can replicate even though it might be tough. If Either SOTL or Child's play (2019) is present at the event this year in anyway, one basically confirms the other. Pretty sure they are on alright terms with Orion so it opens the door. Watched Happy Death Day 2U and I just hope to god they realize that it will not make for a good house even if there are some alright scenes in that movie. I still hate the movie and it makes me hate Blumhouse more then I already did. If they do that better be the only Blumhouse property. Unless we are getting Halloween 2018 (which I really doubt) I agree with a Blumhouse street, why the hell not. Im worried about Scare zones this year.... I have no clue what Properties would make good Streets besides a Blumhouse one. I feel like they rely on Blumhouse to much sometimes tho. Anyway, I need a house announcement, im dying over here.

Child's play remake trailer came out... And it could be worst? I've still got my money on SotL. I feel like our first announcement is gonna be a big one. They obviously wanna get those preseason sales especially with the new promotion for BOGO. Im thinking ST2, House count, and Islands (If it is there). Im thinking mid/late March for our first Announcement. Anybody hoping for Gremlins? The way Murdy mentioned gremlins in the QnA seemed like Warner propertys are not completly out of the realm of possibilities. Keep your fingers crossed!

Are we concrete about the Usher being the icon for 29 or?

I know some will disagree but I would be all for Uni cutting some content or cash for this year to make 30 the best it can be. For example, only having 8/9 houses and 3/4 scarezones. Sometimes we just have to make these cuts for a greater cause. This is fine by me, but others might not like there experience being taken away.

Sometimes Disney and WB piss me off because it feels like they are holding all these great properties hostage from us ever getting them at HHN. I think one day we can hopefully sort something out with both of them, whether it being buying the whole property for other reasons besides HHN or paying big bucks for them, but untill then we are kind of left with table scraps. Not saying table scraps are all bad xD

Fair enough. But I think if they really wanted it that bad they could work something out. And what is Miramax's deal?

FNaF ain't happening. Scott has only a "Rough script" at the moment for the film. Plus, pretty sure he is still associated with Fright Dome in some way, but im not too sure..... As he states things to his Steam community, it looks like he just wants to focus on the movie and little side projects at the moment and not his property at the event. Unless you think a HHN house is a side project xD As for what I think is gonna be at the event this year.... Stranger things 2 - Willing to bet my life savings that this is returning Killer Klowns from outer space - Great zone but might be a challenging house to create for already well stated reasons Halloween (2018) - Made money, broke records, Blumhouse property. What else do I have to say? Alien- 40th anniversary Silence of the lambs- This would be a good PG-13 house to use. We have seen this type of format the past few years, like with The Shining and Poltergeist. And for people stating this wouldn't translate well, dig through last years topic someone made a house map thing. (Idk what you guys call them) Child's play (2019) - Unfortunately it just makes to much Sense... The Chucky zone did good this year and it is some people's fav zone. The only thing I could see interfering is MGM Horror games- I could see a few possible canadites.... ( Ill make a post about this soon) Nightingales/ Giggles and Gore sequel- Will take either one. Unnamed Originals....

Honestly I hope Horror made here kicks the living shit out of hollywood, Why? Because im kinda sick of all the corner cutting that Hollywood does. Plus if Murdy is smart he will decide to step up his game since he has new competition that has some powerful IP's. Also makes me scared we will never see new line properties again

Im doing this just to get some kind of idea what to expect because shit has really been changing in the last couple weeks. Imagine that you have a friend that is remotely new to HHN and they ask you based on the clues and codenames we got, what will make the cut? Create a lineup that includes Originals as well now that we are possibly getting hints for those. Thanks if you choose to participate. I just kinda want a lineup to work off of for a project im working on.

Is it just me or did anyone else see the scarezone announcement for Hollywood?

Anyone know if I can watch Murdy's live presentation at Monster Palozza? If so where can I find it. According to his Twitter he could be revealing more info there today.

I agree, but there making a movie and the merchandise is selling well so it's still pretty popular. Especially since if it wasn't then they would of called of the movie. Plus there getting Chris Columbus to direct the film which has drawn a bit of attention to it.

Another property I just have to mention because I kinda see it as a future IP for the event . Since Blumhouse at the moment has a Five Nights at Freddy's movie in the works I could see it as house for HHN either this year or next year. Why you might ask? Well let's look at the facts! 1. Blumhouse is really familiar with Halloween Horror Nights. So if there is ever any property that Blumhouse owns and uni wants it, you can basically call it as good as theirs. 2. FNaF is extremely popular. It would also bring in the Younger demographic which would boost the attendance extremely. But the con to this is that I really don't even more whiny little brats at the event when I paid good money to come and enjoy the event, so there is that. 3. This is easy money for Uni. It probably wouldn't be that hard to pull the property because like I said earlier Blumhouse has partial rights to it. And it would make LOADS of cash from the attendance boost. Think about it Pull the rights, attempt to make a decent house across the different games in the series, and watch the money flow. Sounds like a huge opportunity they could take to lure in the younger crowds. 4. It could actually be a great house. They have PLENTY of opportunities to make this a good house when it comes to environment and props. They could have a few Animatronics in there along with some cool puppet work. And we all know that usually HHN makes good with Animatronics in there mazes but sadly we don't see them often because they can be quite pricey. But here is my main concern, Scareactors, I just could not see how they could give every scareactor a nice looking costume due to budget restrictions, but if they were to do this property i'm sure they would figure it out. Overall, I see it as a property at least worth mentioning. I don't think it would tie into any of the clues that they are currently dropping as of today. If not this year then most likely next year.

Thanks for informing me. I was just explaing what I read on diffrent news pages. I guess they were a bit to quick to assume that it was in the works already. But maybe it's a good thing because I really don't want anything to do with Chucky when it comes to a film or a tv show in this case. We just had a film that can be debated to be the worst in the series and I think it's time to put the Franchise on a shelf for a bit and let it sit until they get some sort of Gold opportunity like making a remake of the Original. But im not to sure if we will ever see the Chuckster again at HHN (Besides in the Titans of Terror)

Ok this is my first post yay! Not sure if anyone has mentioned this yet but apparently there is a Child's Play TV series in the works at the moment. Is this a possible HHN canadite for 28? If so I don't want it to be because it is extremely hard sometimes to get scare actors to meet the criteria they would be looking for if they were to do this property.
