  1. This thread died out CRAZYYYY quick haha I'm just assuming everyone is in the same boat as me though in that, they're waiting for the full reveal. Guess there's no point in spec when we will know most of the details, if not, all of them in a few days....I don't know how much longer I can wait! :)

The closer it gets to the event, the more it slows down. I don't check at all once the event starts. I usually log back on in May or June.

  2. It's not even the fact of them announcing those first. I've recently heard that Penn and Teller is confirmed? I'm sorry, I've never heard of them. Pardon my lack of knowledge on has-been Vegas shows. Literally no clue how they are relevant, how they are scary, and how anyone will know who they are. Yeah, us on the forums know them, but we make up less than five percent of the audience at HHN. I'm so, so SO incredibly disappointed in Uni this year. Words cannot even describe. I'm contemplating even wasting my money on an event that seems to have been created for the sole purpose of "LOOKY HERE, WE'RE RELEVANT." When they NEVER needed to do that in the first place. At this rate we have room for three original houses. So not looking forward to it. I know people are going to say "Hey, calm down you never they may be really scary." When truth be told I could care less if they were actually scary. They have sacrificed artistic freedom for popularity which to me, as an artist, is terrible. Again, excuse me for being crude, but I hope something clicks this year to make them realize that originality will ALWAYS get them far. People's opinions of Alice Cooper, Penn and Teller, The Walking Dead, etc are GOING to influence whether people go to the event, whether they like it or not, and whether anyone agrees with it or not.

  3. I don't really know where else to post this because it's not really spec or wishful thinking, but I am so so so so upset that Uni Orlando is turning to relying on media inspired houses. When I first heard of Silent Hill I was excited because we usually have a house or two based off a movie. But now that more and more and more houses are being released and there is absolutely no original concept to them I'm severely disappointed. I came to HHN for the originality. If I wanted to see the Walking Dead, I would watch the Walking Dead on t.v. And I didn't because it never interested me. With originality, it was all new to EVERYONE, so no one could say "Well I didn't like the show so...." or "The movies suck!" And to top it all off, Uni has AMAZING ideas and shouldn't have to rely on these pop culture houses. That's all I have to say.

  4. I think Comcast just realized that HHN Hollywood was attracting a lot of guest due to movie based properties and therefore would make Universal a lot more money as a whole if Orlando followed the footsteps when it came down to mazes being based off of movies and not being original themes.

No, HHN Hollywood attracts more guests because the population is like three times that of Orlando.

  5. I'm not upset because I think Penn and Teller isn't scary, I'm upset because I feel like they've kind of given up on originality and they're giving into advertising. But, to each his own I suppose.

Sorry I'm a little behind, but are we expecting an Icon, or are we expecting someone with a lack of a personal storyline?

  6. I need some advice from serious photographers. I got a Nikon D3000 a few months ago, and I love it. It takes great pictures. I'm only going to be at HHN for one night, and I'm contemplating taking it with me to get some nice quality pictures for everyone, and myself. But I don't know if I should, any advice?

  7. same thing with the spanish

although, if it spanish from Spain, then is a different story because some parts of Spain their Spanish is very different sounding than the Spanish from America (the continent, lol) i mean, not only the accent but, some parts of spain, I couldn't understand if I ever went there,

that is making me wonder, but, no, i do not understand any of that in spanish

And in French, there aren't that many different dialects, they all sound pretty much similar. I'm pretty sure it's all English. It's just hard to decipher when so many words are spoken at the same time.

  8. I don't think it's French, I speak French, and if these people are speaking French, it's very poor. The French "R" is very distinguishable, it's made in the back of the throat, almost like your choking, and I don't hear it at :13, I hear an English "R" (Sounds like he's saying "In the front." or something.). Or at around :18 I hear another English "R", like she's saying "I need homework."

  9. And that's three saying the same thing.

Now we can move on to something else...

    EDIT - Moving on.

Street locations are listed as Hollywood, NY, Lucy, Shrek, and IFB.

    No idea what IFB is.

I recall hearing somewhere that IFB can stand for "Invitation for bid." Maybe they haven't decided yet? Idk, maybe I'm just thinking about it too hard, but I can't think of what IFB means either.

  10. Another thing, I know I've said I don't see how Cindy would relate at all, but logistically thinking, it just wouldn't make sense. Chance is the same age she's always been, but Cindy is suddenly somehow old enough to be a showgirl in a casino? it just wouldn't make sense. Especially is the date this year is set before we first saw Cindy. It would just involve so much change to Cindy's character, and if they're going to put that much into it, just keep Cindy as is and just write a new character!

  11. I don't think we would get a video game house, sadly due to the connotations and stigma people have with video games. Unless that video game has already been a popular movie, such as Resident Evil or something. I'm not an avid gamer at all, I play the sims at best. But Bioshock is a FANTASTIC game, one of the few I've played. And as much as I love it, I don't think it would work just yet as a house. Although, last time I checked there was talk of taking the Bioshock franchise and making a movie. So maybe sometime in the future, but I don't see that happening anytime soon.

  12. Ok so...they delted this idea and suggested i move it to wishful thinking.......Floating house on the lake???? people pop out of the water as you walk and when you reach the boathouse a suprise scare

I don't think that would happen, due to the difficulty building the house, when it's only going to be torn down after the event, not to mention the liability. But it's definitely a cool concept.
