Here is the scarezone from HHN Hollywood 2013 when they were basically promoting the new "Curse of Chucky" movie

Chucky takes over HHN Hollywood's twitter:
"Hi...I'm Chucky...wanna play? ..I'll be your friend to the end!..
I used to have a show at Halloween Horror Nights, but those bastards took it away from me! I've been waiting...and waiting... AND WAITING! I'm through with waiting! I'm coming back!!!! If they won't give me my show back... I'll crash theirs! Time for the CURSE OF CHUCKY!!!! I couldn't help noticing there's a cute little toy store on BAKER STREET...I hear they're getting a shipment of GOOD GUY DOLLS! Hmmm... I hear the LAKESHORE STRANGLER has been hanging around, when he isn't frequenting that VOO DOO shop down the street.... Heee Heee Heee... this seems like as good a place as any to take my revenge!!! Time we put the CURSE OF CHUCKY on HHN! AHHH HA HA HA HA HA!"

So much recycled props and very little effort made in Hollywood that year for this scarezone. The quality is terrible. But thats what happens with John Murdy at the helm.

Yeah that zone is what made me wary of this year's zone, but from what I've heard this one actually sounds very interesting.

Is there a reason why these new "Dead Exposure" related postcard tweets aren't being also posted in the actual designated "Dead Exposure" thread?  Like seriously, whats the point of having house threads (and new content relating to it) if we're not even going to discuss all things related to that particular house in its own thread? Spec should be for the stuff that isn't announced yet.

I can see @mz_ moving them.

BTW, this marketing is fantastic. Gets me so pumped for this house.

Short answer? No. because they've had SZs in 2 of those locations. FFL just doesn't have the space or the need since it is the main show location. As for San Fran & MIB, they've both had SZs official & unofficial in years past. In 2008, they had a zombie brigade in the MIB/Coke plaza. Another year, chainsaws (technically the Chainsaw Brigade would also stop in this area for fun as well). San Francisco (aka-Supercharged), has had actual official SZs in the past but also have had random chainsaws in the area like in 2007 to tie into the TCM house.

Basically, it all just comes down to laziness, budget, and higher-ups...

After a discussion on IU, it seems that the area in front of MiB and FFL can't be used because of crowding issues from the three house entrances and exits combined with the show and the somewhat narrow paths.

F&F area could work but as Legacy said Uni hadn't anticipated F&F's failure, so I hope to see the South Street zone moving in front of F&F next year.

Could you put a zone in the bypass path next to London? That'd be a Central-Park-esque area with a bit less space.

A bit of new information from yesterday. "An interstellar circus tent has landed on South Street. At this circus of fear, the joke's always on you."

So that confirms the speculated location of this zone but what about the circus tent?  They've never used this area before for a full scarezone so I have no idea where they could put it.

I’m thinking either something near F&F’s backstage entrance or just a smaller tent.

Just rewatched the film w/ my gf, she loved how campy it was and noted that the clowns would be especially scary in a zone. It’s more campy of a film than I remembered, but I imagine the zone will be adapted darker to fit a scarezone better.

This year will be different, maybe, but in the past FFL area is always very crowded as there are rows of pop up bars and food and tons of people milling around leaving or waiting for the show in FFL to load.

The food & beverage booths can be placed in San Fran.

Well, half the park is parade route or half too narrow for the amount of traffic that is expected to get through and enjoy it is crazy.

It works out to appear that there isn't any safe zones

Yes half of the park is the parade route, and Uni puts most of the zones in that half. This makes the other half feel barren with 1 or 2 zones at best, AND makes the other 4 zones have less theming.

Is there any reason that a zone can't go in front of F&F, MiB, or FFL?

A&D is getting creative with Chucky just like they did in '09.  The house had many toy monsters. If the costume isn't too cumbersome or hot, I'd love to see the Barrel Monkey on the streets.

Also, the wording of the description leads me to believe we are correct in our speculation.

    "Chucky commands"

    "he dishes out"

Chucky is most likely going to be a puppet with a voice actor.

Terrible cellular data won’t let me use my praisejesus.gif, so just try to imagine it.

  8. This is my most anticipated IP, including the speculated ones.

This movie was one of the first I watched to familiarize myself with 80s horror, so I have major nostalgia of watching this with my cousins at 2 AM.

The key to this zone will be the costumes, the creative team has to balance mobility with authenticity or this zone will just flat out not work.

Also, while it may be too much to ask, I would REALLY appreciate the parade float tearing through the streets and the tent spaceship somewhere visible from the zone. Those two things are the only things I can think of that can’t be pulled off in a house, so this zone is their chance.

    VERY hyped.

  9. I’m a bit wary on this one, as Chucky has never been scary to me and even less so in an open street. I have a feeling I’ll enjoy the general theme of the toy fair and the evil toys more than the Chuckster himself.

I can't get over that Orlando has announced 4 houses, 5 scarezones, and 1 show, while Hollywood has announced 2 houses (not even exclusives) and a scarezone that isn't even on their website.

I think we know what happened to Orlando's dismal marketing group from last year - they got transferred to L.A.

Yeah seriously, the Hollywood spec thread is insanely barren but I don’t blame them, I blame the marketing.
