  1. Not sure if this should be posted in this thread or the ticket thread but.... I wonder if the  AP party being held in the kidzone like usual?

Last year it said kidzone on the confirmation and this year it says you go to battery park over by transformers for check in.. I know in the years past it was blocked off over where you get your wrist band so others couldn't get in..

It is probably nothing but just something I noticed.

  2. So, for the houses that have those Vortex Tunnel things (if any this year), do they offer a path around them? Those things make me super dizzy and I would hate to miss a house because of one of those tunnels.

I personally don't close my eyes because I hate the feeling of not being able to see what I am doing. I personally stare at the ground while I'm walking and just focus on my feet until I get out of the room. I hate how they make me feel as well.

First time ever doing the APH event. Are you "locked in" to an area from 5:30-6:30 and then let loose or can you roam the park freely even though the rides and stuff will be closed? How long are the waits for the APH event houses normally? Can I expect to see all three houses in the hour time frame? Are there any special perks or free items that they normally give out?

Basically trying to decide if we should attend or not. We are doing Disney from Sept 22nd to Oct 1st and then Universal (and HHN) from Oct. 1st to Oct 6th. Thinking of taking a taxi or something from Disney on Friday the 25th to enjoy the evening and prepare my friend (who has never been inside a haunted house and hates scary movies) for the 4 straight nights of HHN we have later in the trip. Is there any other options besides a taxi that work well to get between the two? Have a car service taking us to check in at Cabana Bay on the 1st, but I have never traveled between the two resorts in the same day. Seems like a round trip taxi will be like $100 so I need to figure out if the houses (and the park itself) will be empty enough to make it worth it.

You are locked into the area where the AP party is  held (normally kidzone) and can't actually leave it until actual park opening although they have left us out like a few minutes early before which does help with getting in line for the next house. I have also been able to see all the houses in the AP holder party and sometimes more than once. I don't think it is worth it for you to have to travel from Disney to Universal though since you will already be going a few days.

Although if you go to stay and scream by finnegans when you go.. they usually let you out of the area early enough that you are able to hit a soundstage house or two before the front gates open.

  3. Yeah, I'm guessing they just got slammed and it messed up something on their end. I was just hoping it wasn't only me and something was wrong with my pass all of a sudden. :o

It just worked for me so try it again. I was able to rsvp for both nights I am going without any issues.

  4. My username is a nickname that I've had since High School..... I used to complain about having to do chores all the time so my mom would always call me "Cinderelly" or "Cinderella".....and well  115 stands for my birthday- January 15th :) That is how Cinderelly115 was born!

  5. Anyone else having an issue logging in? I tried to RSVP for the 25th and I'm getting an error all of a sudden. I'm also getting an error logging into the Passholder page on Universal's site, too so it must be something on their end.

The page just opened to RSVP's so they may be having difficulties. I went to the page earlier today and it wasn't open yet to RSVP but I see now it is.

  6. How could you even know what was in that zone back in 2009? As I recall you spent most of the time crouched down on the ground with your hands in front of your eyes? :P

    (ducks for cover!)

Well..... I saw it the first night or two I went into it! After that it was over. I really miss that zone.  :P

  7. I can't wait to see this zone! I think it sounds super neat and one I might spend some time walking around in just to take in everything. The evil fairies is what makes me the most interested in this zone.

  8. Oh GOD I am excited for this scare zone!!! I am really crossing my fingers that We'll see Bloody Mary appear in this zone!!!! God I miss her....

Wait.. Someone actually liked Bloody Mary!!?!? Kidding..well only half kidding!

As far as people complaining about this scarezone name... At least we're not getting Iconz.

That sounds a little better actually! This name sounds rather dull.. haha

I love the icons.. stone me for it if you must but I am excited to see them come back! I have heard nothing but complaints about it being too soon for the icons to come back but, well... I've missed them! You can't have too much of a good thing...right? ;)

  9. I've never been a fan of 3d houses because they make me feel weird, so I usually take off my glasses in the house.. BUT that doesn't mean they are bad houses..just something I can't get the full affect of!

I think this house sounds super neat though and can't wait to see how it is all put together.

  10. HHN fans complain.. it is what they do.. They complain when they bring IPs in..they complain when they have originals..

Reality is many people who attend HHN (who aren't hardcore fans) have probably never seen the original AWIL house. The house was a great house that they were super proud of so why not bring it back again for the anniversary?

The way I look at it is.. if you aren't happy they are bringing it back.. don't go in it!

I am excited for the AWIL house. I think it was a great house when they first had it so I have no doubt it will be a great house this time around!

  11. I am torn on this house... I LOVED the scarezone last year so I really hope the house doesn't disappoint like the last time a scarezone I loved got turned into a house *coughSAWSNSTEAMcough*

I think this has great potential to be a great house although I'd rather sit and watch the purgers in a scarezone :)

  12. Well, while that's why we're seeing the complaints, I don't think that's why they're complaining.

While it's "great" to have Jack back since he is a Horror Nights original, his return (and so far it's only HIS return) is indicative of what people have been complaining about for the last three years regarding TWD: Repetition. Truly, Jack is somewhat worse considering this is his seventh appearance and fourth year as marketing lead. It's not TWD again, but Jack doesn't fix the problem.

I feel like Jack is so different than TWD .. they have so much more free range with Jack than they do with Walking Dead.. I love the icons and always welcome them back because they the ICONS of HHN..

  13. Will Potter be open?...

In the restrictions for the FFP+w/express and ROFw/express. NOT VALID for Gringotts and Hogwarts Express appears.

Oh I hope it will be open! That will save me from having to buy a day ticket just to go see it!! *fingers crossed*
