  1. I think they may wait until Mardi Gras is done before any announcements are made. I hope not as I’m now pretty impatient waiting for official dates so I can plan my trip properly.
  2. It could also be read as houses that are more scary than ever before, so scarier houses rather than more houses. Seriously, grammar is so important!
  3. Yeah I agree. It’s just too weird and from nowhere to be the final answer. Any other IPs with will-o’-the-wisps in? There’s the deadlights in IT, but other than that struggling to think of anything.
  4. The Ifrit is back (not sure how to insert pic of it). Riddle has been solved as “Will-o’-the-wisp”. Bit of digging has brought up this new film currently being filmed https://www.google.co.uk/amp/s/www.hollywoodreporter.com/amp/heat-vision/is-us-star-chrissy-metz-joins-horror-movie-will-o-wisp-1053916 its describes as an alien torture film, or signs meets misery. Bit of a curveball I think as I’ve never heard of this before. Sounds interesting but HHN interesting? Not so sure....
  5. I’m still not buying it. Doesn’t The Thing get rumoured every year? And what evidence is there other than heresay and the Facebook page liking it? I’d say take it with a pinch of salt until something more concrete is available to support it.
  6. Could be a bluff - that’s the kind of thing I would do to keep people guessing
  7. Even if there’s 10 houses this year? I’m all for more originals
  8. In that case I think he is saying that stranger things was the red herring by starting the countdown at 11 intentionally, knowing everyone would guess that. However, he then says it seems that we all will get our wish (ie strange things is coming). The seven i think refers to either number of IPs, or IT.
  9. Or the girl from annabelle creation. It’s rather vague and broad so can be interpreted a lot of different ways
  10. Could the seven actually be the IPs this year? Lots of people are speculating a 7/3 IP/original split this year. Either way stranger things will be pretty cool. Just hope that gets announced early!
  11. Don’t forget giant Pennywise climbing through the projector images in the garage!
  12. So assuming the theatre has a capacity of 1,500-2,000 (tried finding proper capacity with no luck, but I’d imagine it’s in the right ballpark), Stranger Things would need to take a steady stream of around 40-50 people a minute to match B&T. Seems about doable on a good run. Also got to take into account B&T was only set times, a house should be a constant flow of people. So over the evening it should even out. Although no indications one way or another, a dual park event would help congestion surely? Spread people out a bit more. However that would mean closing both parks early for HHN, which I’d imagine Universal would be loathe to do.
  13. What about alien vs predator? It’s kind of a sequel spun off from the alien and predator films, and neither have been at the event in their own right. And it was a prequel to the original alien films/Prometheus/covenant right?
  14. Could be a good distraction before the demigorgon bursts through the wall at you haha
  15. Well I’ve heard rumours of HHN going nightly throughout the run. If that’s the case then I’d imagine midweek (Tuesday/Wednesday) is likely to be a good time to go crowd wise.
  16. What about Halloween night itself? I’d imagine that would be pretty busy
  17. I do like Busch gardens. Couldn’t believe how empty it was last year though. I’m still trying to get the time off work to go, but looking more likely to be the back end of October than the beginning. Think a few friends may come out to join me for a bit over the break but if I can go I’m going regardless.
  18. Sounds like I’ll need to include HoS in the itinerary. Just checked and they put on free transport from International Drive to and from the event which is perfect for me (my usual hotel is a 15 min walk from the pickup/dropoff point). Even have time to do a few rollercoasters before the event starts!
  19. My thinking on this is go to Orlando for two weeks, but get a frequent fear pass without saturdays. Go to Busch gardens on the first Saturday for howl o scream. Second Saturday would likely be a non-HHN night anyway so seems to work well. But that plan means needing a hotel in tampa one night so pricey given I’d already have paid for my orlando hotel. Thoughts?
  20. So planning a case for an October holiday got me looking at YouTube videos of HHN and other haunts to see whether I should build in those as well as HHN. When i was told about HHN I was told that even though you were in a conga line it was scary. However when I was there I didn’t feel scared at all in the conga line. I only felt scared when I was alone. From youtube videos I’ve seen other haunts pulse the crowd so you are on your own and that gets a better reaction than the conga line approach. Albeit the sets aren’t as detailed and the immersion isn’t there. So so here’s my question. Do you prefer uber detailed and immersive settings in a conga line, or less detail and immersion but more alone and isolated when it comes to a house?
  21. But how would they do it? Puppet? Could be cheesy or pretty epic. A one armed Georgie screaming “you’ll float too” turning into a demon voice then getting right in your face would be pretty scary too.
  22. Whilst waiting for IT to be confirmed (hopefully) I’m reading IT. If you haven’t read it yet please do so. It’s really well done and fast becoming one of my favourite books of all time. Love the film, and love the book too. Both different in their own ways, yet both satisfying. I do find the book more scary but mainly because of it being left to your own imagination - standard comparison to book and film I know but very true. What do people hope to see from an IT house if IT were to happen? i dunno how they’d do it, but if they could do the film reel in the garage with a monster Pennywise coming out that would probably make me crap myself haha.
  23. I’d be happy with those, but I think cult would work better as a scarezone than a house
  24. I’d be on board for those properties (IF I can get there next year!)
