Alright so according to IU here's some details about the maze thought to be Gothicombs(it's very easy to see how they could get confused) - Battle between Heaven & Hell - Angels vs Demons - Most likely will go from a cathedral to underworld Note: Take all of this with a grain of salt because we know nothing official about this house till it's announced

It's fine. The Ifrit stated that this house will "be more steamy than baroque and dreamy" so maybe a steampunk Angels vs Demons? Idk, this house and the vampire one are the only things that we know little to nothing about

Apparently it might just be something along the lines of Angels vs Demons. Also may I ask what the other cool idea was?

Guys Legacy on IU stated that Gothicombs might not be happening, and that no original houses from the past will be returning as new houses

So Bayou of Blood and *possibly* Blood Ruins might be in the same soundstage? That's a lot of blood in one place

If Blood Ruins does come and ends up in 24, does anyone know what the other rumored house there is?

Maybe they're rebooting forgotten houses but with a modern twist. Last year they added more content to Ghost town and maybe this year they're adding plague doctors to Blood Ruins. Idk, I feel like Catacombs is coming back in one way or another because it's been so heavily rumored

Maybe it's a Catacombs prequel set in Feudal times? At least now there's something to speculate on

Do you guys still think Gothicombs is coming? I've heard so many different rumors about that house that at this point I don't know what to think. The only two original houses that I know for sure are coming are the Bayou of Blood maze & Field of Screams(which may be called the Harvest of Souls since Ifrit liked a tweet that said that which referred to the scarecrow house.)

True; they really need to stop saying "Soon" because it's annoying to everyone and at this point more of a nuisance than a suspense builder

The thing with Ash vs Evil Dead is we haven't seen it before. Evil Dead in 2013 was NOT Evil Dead 1 & 2, while the house was based on the remake. The original Evil Dead has never actually been at the event so technically it will be a new house. Also the next announcements for both coats will most likely be next week, and it will be the Blumhouse Mashup. For Hollywood Murdy said that our next announcement wouldn't have a codename(only mazes without codenames on our side are Blumhouse, Jigsaw, Evil Dead) and that it would be next week. Using guesstimates it's speculated AvED will be announced at Comic Con, Jigsaw will be announced with the trailer release in late July or Early August, which leaves Blumhouse. Both coasts have really terrible when it comes to announcing this year, like Hollywood was supposed to get our Insidious announcement this week but John didn't do it.

Not that the GP would want it/care but I wish they would try to make the event have an overarching theme that connects everything('17, '19, '21). At least this year we're getting 4 originals

^this I think marketing had more control this year and while it's still gonna be a good event, it's not gonna be as creative and detailed as previous events. If they wanted to they could've pulled an HHN 18 or 19 and brought in a new icon and an overarching theme, but instead they opted with no theme and a mascot. It's not bad, it's just lazy to the dedicated fans

Yeah the Meatz Meets mascot was at the exit with Eddie; I feel like the only way Cleaver can come back is if they reboot it,idk how a sequel or prequel would work. It looked like such a fun maze I want it back!

They rebooted Ghost Town and that seemed to be good; even though Ghost Town was a fan favorite in '04 I hope they use reboots as a second chance for houses that seemed to get negative reviews(redo Spawning but change it a LOT and make the sculders scary, redo Orfanage, and maybe reboot Leave It To Cleaver *it was good I know but idk how they'd give it a seque*)

Yeah i know it's random guessing, but since it's the latest assumption I used it Do you think they'll ever reboot it or give it a sequel; I feel like the Orfanage & The Spawning had really good concepts but fell flat according to the GP

Technically we also have our "mascot" announced which I guess might be the closest to an icon we get this year. I wish they would've had Cindy because the Orfanage seemed like a cool house and I wanna do it

According to the leaked list you're right on multiple icons, them being the Soul Collectors and the Voodoo Queen. I'm not sure if Nathaniel Crowe is gonna be involved because the Ifrit stated that the house theorized to be Crowe's(Field of Screams) will actually be the Icon house(Soul Collectors). However Legacy has hinted that the rumored Gothicombs house might be a red herring and there might be another house instead

This might be thinking too deep but in each of those years was a house/zone that are thought to come this year(Evil Dead, Bayou of Blood)

Dude if the house is based off the black eyed children I'd be so scared of that house. To say the least I'm proud of Universal for going the "let me in" route because it's very creepy and could fit in any enviornment
