  1. From what Legacy said on the forums he made it sound like it's getting harder to write parodies because of how quickly pop culture moves nowadays. He said you could write something in June and it's already dated by October so if I had to guess they just might be having a hard time writing, as well as Universal thinking the show has run it's course
  2. And it probably will be; this was inevitably gonna happen due to the incedint in Hollywood though so as much as I'll miss it I'm not surprised
  3. Keep in mind that Harvest of the Souls is the Soul Collectors house. So it could be corn or a wing but either way the house is gonna have scarecrows and collectors
  4. If it's not Tomb and it is a house from this year it could be the Angels vs Demons house. Most likely it's an old house though
  5. They really don't care about anniversary dates; if they did The Thing wouldve(and should've!) been a house this year
  6. The IP's wouldn't allow them(Jigsaw & Blumhouse) all to be announced at once since one might overshadow the other. I'd say an announcement this week(Jigsaw), one more next week(Blumhouse), and the full reveal next week after the last IP is announced.
  7. Hollywood's getting 8 houses this year, with 3 being exclusives(TWD Attraction, Titans of Terror *basically All Nite Die In minus Micheal*, and Insidious Chp 4). So far there have been four mazes, the tram, and the scarezones already announced for them while y'all are stuck with 3 mazes announced. Hopefully the higher ups can start green lighting more IP's; we all know Jigsaw & Blumhouse are coming so they might as well announce it.
  8. Hollywood just announced a Titans of Terror maze, which will most likely be an exclusive. Orlando needs to announce SOMETHING this week or they'll be falling behind
  9. Well I know that there was a gypsy camp Facade and a flying scareactor in wolfman
  10. Some info on Saw: - The razor wire trap was featured with a live actor - The ending was a strobe lit room with the pig men everywhere - there were countdown clocks in most of the rooms Theres videos of the Saw house all over youtube
  11. Some more info on Angels vs Demons: - It's basically a battle over creation - Will be very atmospheric - Music is gonna make the house a lot scarier
  12. If a house is getting announced at ScareLA tomorrow it's most likely a Hollywood exclusive(Leatherface or Insidious).. but hopefully not
  13. UPDATE from Legacy on the forums: - Hive is a very atmospheric house, and will be very creepy - Angels vs Demons is actually very atmospheric, contrary to past info - The music in Angels vs Demons sells it even further(basically makes it a better house than it already is) - Hive is going to be a very scary house, contrary to the theory it was a "rush job" - Scareactors are going to be a HUGE influence in every house, apparently sets/mazes as a whole are amazing but will suck with bad acting(pretty normal it's just it seems to be even more important this year) So yeah it sounds like there are 0 duds this year and every house will deliver amazing quality
  14. I hope the sparkle was a joke, the Vampire house is the only one we know barely anything about, besides that it looks like The Conjuring and has vampires
  15. Containing on with Legacy's relation to sets & info, he stated Bayou of Blood is gonna be the most atmospheric of the originals(similar to Orfanage & houses like that) & Angels vs Demons is gonna be the most intense/adrenaline inducing(think nightengales). And also that the Vampire house(Hive) should have vampires with a sparkle effect on them... so take that as you want
  16. Also for those who enjoy codenames and such, here were the houses codenames: AHS: Checkmate Shining: Gold Ash vs Evil Dead: ED Jigsaw: Buzz Blumhouse: Numb Vampire: Hive Bayou of Blood: Paddle Angels vs Demons: Crater Harvest of the Souls: Brains
  17. Since marketings dry atm here's some info & rumors about each house: The Shining: Will be in SS22, if Hollywood is an indicator expect Pepper's Ghost effect on Grady Twins AHS: Mega maze this year, probably the least amount of inside info on this because we know what to expect Ash vs Evil Dead: Dark comedy house, expect Henrietta & Ash's trailer park Jigsaw: Mashup of the Saw films but with Jigsaw stuff in there too Blumhouse Mashup: Will feature Sinister & Insidious, as well as their sequels Bayou of Blood: Steamboat facade, most atmospheric house of the originals Angels vs Demons: Most gory and adrenaline pumping of the originals, by that I mean think of something like Nightengales Vampire/BEK House: Conjuring aesthetics, based on the concept of "a vampire can only come in if you let it". Ifrit hinted it to be about Black Eyed Kids, others have stated it isn't; so expect one of the two concepts Harvest of the Souls: Soul Collectors icon house... not much else All credit for this info goes to Manics & Legacy; but yeah this year will be great, marketing has just caused a lot of frustration
  18. That's why I'm still having faith in the event, A&D never disappoints and Legacy stated every house this year is really strong
  19. HHN is a wonderful event and this year will be a great year, the sole reason we're dissing it is because Marketing has been a shitstorm. I think once they get back into the groove this year will get smoother and run its course; if this happens again next year though, they are going to be destroyed by the competition. Hopefully next year they give us a themed event along the lines of 17, 18, 19, & 21; since each event had IP's but had a reason for the IP's. This year they have that but aren't promoting it the way they should
  20. Honestly though, our events starting to look a lot better
  21. Expect next year's event to be like 22, with Nintendoworld going under construction 28 is gonna lose 3 house locations(Sprungs & Parade), so unless they find a way to work around that or find a safe path to them expect a little bit more hecticness. On the bright side, I've heard Universal is working on something that'll make it impossible for a Scream/Conjuring situation to happen again.
  22. Oof even the GP is pissed about the countdown, marketing is screwed. At the same time we already know all of the houses, but they should've released originals today. Hollywood's getting an announcement Saturday at an LA panel, so its most likely an exclusive. For those curious about the lineup it's this: (1) The Shining - SS22 (2) AHS: Asylum, Coven, Roanoke - SS21 (3) Ash vs Evil Dead - Parade Building (4) Jigsaw - Shrek Queue (5) Blumhouse of Horrrors(ft Sinister & Insidious according to rumors) - MIB Tent (6) Bayou of Blood - SS24 (7) Angels vs Demons(name unknown, concept known) - SS24 (8) Harvest of the Souls - Sprung 1 (9) Vampire house codenamed "Hive" - Sprung 2
  23. In California we still have 3 hours left on the timer, I think they're waiting for the timer to end everywhere
  24. Everything at once isn't happening, for Hollywood Mr Murdy confirmed the IP's wouldn't want each to get announced at the same time because some would get overshadowed. My bet is that it's the originals reveal, I'm so excited to see what Angels vs Demons & the vampire house actually are
  25. I think this is the last time they use the marketing strategy they've been using this year. From what's been told from people who know insiders, and John Murdy, there's been a ton of stuff behind the scenes that's caused delays. For one, Ash vs Evil Dead was supposed to be announced like 3-4 weeks ago but it was delayed for God knows what. We know Conjuring was scrapped, so that was another issue. From what I've heard the IP holders have been a pain this year and it's caused lots of announcement delays; so I think next year may feature more originals vs IP's if the team chooses to not use most of the speculated HHN 28 IP's(It, Twin Peaks, Insidious, AHS, maybe Predator, and various others). If I had to guess they probably won't, but hopefully they do! HHN 21 only had one IP and I consider that one of the best years
