  1. for those who do the fully vulgar callbacks, a "Naruto Orange" or black shirt staff member kindly tells them to tone it down (which serves like a first strike), and I take that the next time they call someone out, they get escorted out of the show. However, I did hear some who got away with the "F The Back Row" callback, so it might be ok with that one.

As for that other F word, after the show when I spoke to that black shirt staff member, he told me that the reason why that other F word was not allowed anymore (hint: Ann Francis stars in Forbidden ******), it was because it's now considered a strong homophobic term which is too much for the park's atmosphere.

everytime the one callback that never gets missed is the F the back row, that and the a-hole-slut callbacks are always said,

but, Man... talk about a tough crowd.

It feels weird when only like 2 people are doing the callbacks, Specially when everyone else starts to look weirded out (which is kind of funny, people start looking at the callbacks like if they are crazy or something, the people in front of me today kept rolling their eyes and wondering what was going on hahaha)

but yeah, sometimes I barely hear anyone shouting back. It's sad because the show is still pretty awesome. I really love it this year, everyone in the show is pretty great.

today there was a guy smoking while watching the show... I kid you not.

  2. They added an actor to the paused room, he just walks back and forth scaring you,

but the best thing about it (that I saw) was that when the sound of the game being paused is played on the speakers the actor freezes in place. Then when the sound plays again the actor moves again.

small detail but totally made the night for me. I didn't expect the guy to freeze in place. Pretty awesome addition.

  3. Was there a reason they couldn't put a zone on the sides of Transformers? Could a scarezone go in there in the future? I mean, I know there cannot be any zones in front of rides...... but what about on the sides of the building? those two streets,

How come they never do anything in that road that goes from the bettlejuice stage to where the Entrance of Transformers is? that's another street that is always empty....

    Just wondering.

  4. The amount of complaining in general is hilarious. Nobody is happy... ever.

But I never thought I'd live to see the day when people whined because a unicorn wasn't present at Halloween Horror Nights.

well, It was a big and memorable scene in the movie that is both surprising and strange, It makes people's heads turn. Probably one of the creatures people talk to the most....

Also It's a horse with a horn on it's head. For me it seemed like something that would be easy for Uni to do as a prop or something. Like I said before I wasn't expecting it to move, But just "be there" it sounded like it would be easy for them...

I'm just saying, I can understand why people were expecting it so badly.......

  5. I think it's just because of its location. In previous years this would have been the first house people saw (Silent Hill) once they entered the park, but now Cabin in the Woods is the first house they see and it exits at the opposite end between American Werewolf and Evil Dead. So unless guests are paying attention and read their map, which only about 20% do, they probably wouldn't even notice that they missed it.

I don't know, if people were coming from other years they would know there is a house there. I think people would at least remember there was a house there before. no?

  6. The amount of complaining over the unicorn not being in the house is hilarious. In all honesty, the unicorn being in the house would ruin the dark horror feel the house gives off. I'm glad it's represented just in video form.

yeah that's cool. But then they shouldn't have mention an unicorn. Period.

I think that's why people were expecting something, because of how much they hyped this house up.

He even appears in the queue Video for the house. why hype it so much? like, why make a big deal about it? Why not just leave it alone and not say anything about it

About Ruining the Dark Horror feel, Well the clown does that, so does merman. Both creatures were not really scary but used for comedy, I mean, The clown in the movie didn't look scary at all, and Merman looked scary but it attacked the only guy that wanted to see it. (Which was funny)

So I would say those two already change then dark feeling of the movie.........

  7. Anyone know why this house is always the least packed? I havent seen it go over 30 minutes. WHich sucks cuz its a good house, way better than silent hill was last year, and Silent hill had 60+++ minute waits.

I have noticed this as well. It is kind of cool because you can do this house at any time and not worry about long lines. But it makes me wonder if Universal will say no to game houses in the future because of it.

There is always a line for this house though, I have never seen it empty. it's just short

  8. A lot of times, when the houses are dead, the scareactors just stop paying attention out of boredom. Also, depending on their scare, they may be anticipating on scaring someone behind you, but don't see that you're alone until it's too late.

Of course, some scareactors will look at someone and not feel like they're worth the effort in trying to scare.

yeah that's what I was thinking. a couple of times i felt awkward and uncomfortable lol, because I felt like, even if they scared me it felt like I Was making them waste a scare on me or something. Like I was not worthy of the scares for being alone lol.

I Totally understood the actors probably didn't hear me, I totally understood why it happened. It was still awesome to do the houses alone. I loved that

  9. Mistakes happen.

If you're really that freaked out about it, sorry, but I think you're misunderstanding the difference in intent between just being touched and being grabbed.

The first two weeks of Catacombs, the plague doctors accidently would hit a person every set as they got use to the range of those things. Considering they were hard plastic covered in leather, they could hurt if the doctor was moving fast enough. Scareactors will also, when needed, take someone by the shoulders and guide them back on path if the guest is starting to head backstage.

I can't imagine what your reaction would be to a place like Nyctophobia...

Wow, Those plague doctors always came within inches of hitting me in the face or eyes with their masks.

I would get scared but I thought "They know what they are doing, I don't have to worry about anything" One time they almost poke me in the eye.

but I always thought I was safe....

  10. ok, I spoke to one of the black-shirt wearing staff members, and they told me that when it comes to the callbacks, their requirements are that they don't use the word fuck, contain overly sexual overtones, and especially that other f-word which has now been considered too much for the tribute.

I wonder how this is handled, do they ask those people to leave the park?

Every time I've done the show, the callback "F__ the back row" has always been said. Even if it's a small group of people, but it has always been said. So it makes me curious.

    other F word?

  11. I think they've done a good job spreading out walking dead set pieces throughout the park, and the scareactors I've seen have all been really doing a good job. it's really cool that there are times when you're walking through the park and you don't know if it's another guest or zombie in front of you.

hopefully next year there will be more variety in the scarezones as opposed to one over arching theme, but they have done well with the walking dead this year.

yeah I have liked what the actors are doing a lot. the walkers feel more scary than last years (walking dead street zone) too.

  12. I am, lol. gotta watch it live, just got to. I may go pick up a pepperoni pizza and throw it on the roof.

:) yeah, you really have to. (Specially because I knew people would spoil everything for me if I didn't see it lol)

I did the In Between alone. and I did Dead Exposure in 2008 alone. Like Completely alone, I was there too early and there was no one in line.

It is cool, But something that happened was that because I was the only one and I didn't make much noise, I missed a lot of the scares. It felt like because i was the only one maybe they didn't know there was anyone in the house or something like that. It was really cool but I only got like half of the effects and scares.

  13. In 2011, I think the zones were nice. I liked them but I expected better.
then in 2012 I didn't like we didn't get scarezones but only hordes. I LOVED the hordes, but I was sad about the set pieces.
this year I realize that 2011 and 2012 were actually pretty great..

Goes to show that you don't know what you got until is gone, This year the streets are nice but kind of generic... Which makes me worry about next year lol

  14. Maybe it's because I'm not a Walking Dead fan.. Maybe it's because my scare tolerance has gotten pretty high... But I didn't get one scare in the streets.

And hey, I'm a tiny girl. I look like an easy target. But no one even approached me. Really disappointing

I think it also has to do with the fact that there is not a lot you can do with zombies. I mean, A house is different because it is an enclosed space and they have more control over the scares and the environment.

But the streets get too crowded and the zombies blend in with the crowd too well. While this should be perfect for scares, Sometimes I feel it is the opposite.

sometimes I will be walking by a street and a zombie will scare me, but because of their clothes It almost felt to me like it was some random person in the park trying to scare me. It is only when I see their face with bloody make up than I realize they are a zombie.

it is not the actors fault either. Zombies are slow and they cannot talk,

and they look too much like the same people that are visiting the park. Like I said, At first the fact that they blend in works really well to scare people. But after a couple of hours it gets old and it stops being scary. Specially with the amount of noise from other people in the street.

  15. yeah I pretty much agree with what you said for Afterlife. I had a similar experience.

This house had a great backstory and it had a very interesting idea. And as a 3D house is a good 3D house (Much better than Penn and Teller)

But together it just does not make a good house

  16. This house is truly amazing. I loved it. It was insane and really really scary. It actually made me jump once or twice.

I love how it really feels like the movie. I didn't even like the movie as much as this house. I mean, I liked the movie, but i really really loved the house.

it was pretty amazing to see.

  17. Even worse this year with people not knowing WTF was going on. Was at the first show yesterday, and there were a couple of people doing call backs and maybe five stood up to do the Time Warp. Very disappointing, as I'm sure it won't be back if this keeps up. I felt sorry for the cast because it was a very small, unenthusiastic audience overall (including the requisite jackass with their young kid).

What makes me kind of sad (But it is funny too) it is to see people leave in a hurry when they see Dr. Frank-N-Futer lol (It is funny because they freak out)

but I still feel pretty bad that it finally comes back and people are being dumb like that. I also noticed the first weekend there was not that much participation, I mean, There is always some...

Not Trying to be negative or anything but I don't think Rocky Horror might come back.... I mean I hope it does, but i won't be surprised.

  18. Hollywood and Orlando may share IPs or concepts, but just like Alice Cooper last year, Orlando gives their own take on it and Hollywood doesn't send any of their props over here from what I've seen.

I knew Orlando probably wouldn't get the same props, but i thought at least they were going to make props like in Hollywood. new props or something?

I don't know, maybe i am just being naive...
