  1. =( I like Rocky Horror!!!!!!!!!!!

Its funny how AWIL is the Best maze at the event and i thought it would be a not so good idea for a maze but everyone seems to like it. I wouldnt mind it coming to Hollywood.Good review

I LOVE Rocky horror so double :(

About AWIL, Yeah that was my biggest doubt before. I used to think the exact same way, I used to think "How in the world are they going to do this house without the wolf." I thought the house would focus more on the humans or something I never imagined they would go and do such amazing puppets.

First Time I saw this house my jaw dropped. I couldn't believe they pretty much copied the wolf exactly like the movie prop. I was amazed by it.

It's funny because you see the wolf way much more than you actually see it in the movie, so doing this house, not only do you come face to face with the werewolf, but you get to see him all the times the movie doesn't show him.

So, yeah this house is definitely one of the best houses I've ever done. hands down. seeing that wolf creature in that flashing light is pretty freaky

  2. yeah the house is a lot of fun now. I like it a lot.

there is something I did notice though, I was looking at this house and, For me it seems like the house really feels like "Resident Evil" and it gets really good as soon as the Dogs appear. After the Dog room the house for me feels like you really are in Raccoon City with the Licker and Nemesis etc.

The first couple of rooms just feel like a generic zombie house. The actors do well as zombies but, Seeing how many zombies the park has with all the zones,

Seems like they could have based his house on just monsters and it would have been great. They could have had zombies at the entrance and then at the end, and they could have filled the other rooms with more creatures and it would have been a lot of fun. I don't know, I did this twice today and both times I couldn't wait to get to the dog room. I love the ending and Nemesis has been doing a really good job, both of them.

  3. If this was at the beginning of the event when the house just opened, that line fills up so tenaciously that it's hard to keep up with the correct time, but it's been right for me every time and i've done it 7 times. And that line looks a lot longer than it is. I've waited the one long row down the length of the SS, the row lining the back of it and another switchback and it took 30 min.

Since I haven't said it in this thread yet, this house is friggin awesome. Fun as hell to walk through, matches the movie perfectly, both casts are always on FIRE every time i go through. My first run opening night me and my friend were literally the second people in the house and we were alone the entire time. We got every scare and it was insane. Love this house and it may even enter my top 10 from the past 9 years i've been. STILL doesn't beat Werewolf though.

Oh, and where the hell is the Caretaker? I can't see him anywhere in that scene. I've looked every time.

my problem with waiting 40-50 minutes for this house as soon as the park opens is that the time it takes to do this house, I've already done American Werewolf in London twice and Resident Evil or Havoc.

So waiting for this house for me at least it is the equivalent of seeing 3 other houses. Then when Cabin is finally over the lines for Evil Dead Werewolf and RE have become 30 minutes or more.

So seeing this, I wish I could see it more times, I did it twice the first weekend. But If I wait for this, then this will probably be the only house I See that day (Unless I wait another 40 or 50 minutes to see Evil Dead or something.

I know this is kind of whining, I know I am whining here. But I hate that the lines for this become 40 minutes as soon as the park opens. And the line doesn't really get shorter the rest of the day...... this sucks lol

  4. I asked this same question and I will quote what someone said to me here: (Then you would have a bunch of kids shitting in their pants) or something like that

and while that answer always made me laugh and I still remember it to this day. It has a point. Disney World is too kid friendly, too family friendly. You could never have anything at Disney that was like HOS, let alone HHN. It could never be done. Unless disney did haunted houses with Mickey and minie and Donald etc. Not scary at all, Making houses the same way HOS and HHN makes them but without any of the scares. It would have to be extremely light and kid friendly.

Disney's presence in FL is so strong that there is a reason we only have HHN in Orlando and no other haunts or anything... think about it.

Disneyland could maybe get away with it more. But they could Never do anything remotely scary.

I don't see how that's possible with the typical Disney park goer. With moms and dads and their children. I don't think it would be well received.

Your ideas are cool, And I had this same question before. But If you look at the parks, I don't think anyone in the crowd would like this. People would probably get pissed

  5. I love the second half of this house. Once the train crashes and the dogs of war are out it becomes great. The first part is not bad but the cages are annoying because in a conga line it can get uncomfortable to walk. The guys in the cages do a good job at scaring people but the train sequence feels too crowded and not enough space to walk by.

It's like once the train crashes it feels like a relief to me because I won't have to be so close to the people in front of me or behind me.

  6. okay, as someone that goes to HHN, I personally want to say that, With the huge crowds, the not so good street zones, and the long lines... Thank God for Rocky Horror picture show.... :timewarp:

Seriously, if They would have given us another shltty magic show this year I would have freaking lost it.

I know not a lot of people love Rocky Horror and some would like to see it go away, (Which it might) But for this year with the way the streets are, I am pretty glad I can at least go see this if the lines get too long.

I know the show probably doesn't mean much to some people, but like I Said i personally am seriously glad they brought it back this year. Such a relieve to have it. The cast is doing an excellent job and I couldn't imagine what it would be like without it.... :)

(I know most people say to check RHPS at City walk, but the production value of HHN Rocky Horror show is really high , the live singing, the dancing, the fireworks, HHN version of Rocky in on itself is pretty amazing to watch)

  7. This house doesn't get the love it deserves. I know American is really awesome but this house as an IP and as a house based on Walking Dead is truly amazing.

I mean, they really got everything, I was looking at it today and the house is really close to the show. They did a really good job at recreating season 3. I love it.
I wish it started on the Prison instead, but this house was really good today. Not only were the sets close to the show, but the actors were doing a terrific job today.

This house is everything the streets were not, as far as the Walking Dead Experience goes. What I mean is that the streets and Walking Dead in general are getting some hate, which is not good since this house was so well put together.

I kind of wish they only had this house and One scarezone based on the walking dead because we really didn't need more than that. This house as good enough.

  8. I love this house, but. to be fair, if you happen to go during cast change or something, and you miss all the scares it would be pretty sad if you were only just going once to the event. Today I (and the people around me) missed most of the puppets and the actors. I did it again, but the people behind me didn't really get to see the wolf except in the theater and at the end.

  9. The more people that are "sick and tired" of going to HHN, works great for me.

Less wait times for the rest of us :D

never going to happen. for every one person that is sick and tired, there are 100 newbies that just went to HHN for the fist time because of walking dead...

  10. The Walker Bomb bombs in front of the TF Gift Shop and in front of the Entrance nightly. Taking up the majority of that road heading down to BJ.

    yeah I've seen it,

what I was wondering is why they have never done a zone in that road before. Just makes me curious because that rode from TF to Bettlejuice is so long but it is always just empty. I was wondering if that road could ever be used for a zone with props.

(I also remember seeing a house ending there in 07)

  11. how come this house did not have a queue video? this baffles me.
I seriously do not understand why they didn't have clips of the game.... They could have easily make a montage of clips, OR at least show the trailers for the games.

If anything they could have had the logo of the house on the screen at least... I find it unacceptable that there was no video at all. wtf????

it is a small complain but when the lines are long I wish there was something for me to watch, They don't even have music playing around the queue. What the F---- is going on?

  12. The parade only limits the streets by requiring any props directly in the route to be held off to the side or backstage and shoved into position after the park is cleared before the event begins. It's also only limiting along the parade route, which would primarily limit New York and Hollywood (it would barely limit Mel's, as the props for that are usually in the large area in front of where the barn is now, rather than being placed in front of the gate). If the parade was too limiting, we wouldn't have been able to have the props we do in Clear right now.

The biggest issue with the streets is mostly that they're filling too large of a space with too few actors to properly support it.

there is something I wonder this year, How come they never do any scarezones in that road that goes from where Transformers starts all the way down to where the Bettlejuice show is, The road that faces the lagoon.

I also wonder if next year we will see any zones on the sides of Transformers. those are two other roads that have nothing going on. I can understand why Tranformers being built they couldn't think of this space. But those two roads on each side of transformers seemed like two scarezones could go there.

I also wonder how Potter will limit HHN, or if they will close that entire area during HHN or what.

  13. Although I didnt mind the "Street Experience" this year I will say this.... NO MORE WALKING DEAD. Its run its course at HHN.

I love the show and I have liked what HHN has done the last couple years (well maybe just this year) but its time get back to what HHN knows how to do.

Can we start a grass roots campaign for Uni to bring back the old-school scare zones and shit? PLEASE????!

the streets mean a lot to me as well (Sometimes even more than the houses)

but sadly I really don't see how we can get the type of streets we got in the past with that stupid parade running.

  14. Even if the house was empty you will see exactly where the werewolves are before they lunge. How can you seriously not think that's not a design flaw?

it is not a design flaw. This house is perfect as it is.

Everyone is enjoyin this house and you are the only one trashing it, in this case you are going to have to accept that you are just wrong... I think from all the people going into this house you might be the only one that hates it so much... Seriously I have not heard anyone else anywhere hating on this as much as you are.

you might be only person that went to this house that is hating is as much. I honestly have not seen another person hate this house the way you are.

  15. Yes this is definitely legit, this is our eighth year doing it. The haunted house is half outside in the driveway and half in the garage. We have all had time as scareactors at HHN in the past. Check out our facebook group. https://www.facebook.com/groups/206915412794477/

If you look at our facebook group, you can also see pictures from our previous years.

how many people do you see that day? g.

  16. I agree about the chainsaw drill team placement being pretty odd. I also do not understand why they are where they are. But who knows, they have their reasons.

I think the shortest house is RE? I don't know,

I had the same thoughts about Havoc and Cabin, I thought they were going to have more monsters (props) in the last rooms.
    Agree about the streets.

  17. Am I the only one who thought the layout of this house was killer? I don't know why but I just felt really immersed in it all. I was very impressed. The way you transition between everything was great. I wasn't sure how they were gonna execute it with very little setting to work with but they did a great job.

I love it, I love this house more than Cabin in the woods actually.

  18. Honestly this street "experience" felt more like a bunch of photo op areas with some zombies walking around. The Clear and the Barn were the only parts I thought were good about the streets but everything else just seems lame and created crowds that were annoying to travel though. I don't really think the streets were very successful this year. Kinda took away from he HHN vibe.

Yeah but Imagine the money this brought to the Park. those same annoying crowds you are talking about mean more cash flow for the park. As a business move the streets Totally worked, Another successful year for HHN.

plus we got scarezones again, so big win.
